[edit]Hello, I'm Lachielmao. I noticed that you recently removed content from Homosexuality in modern sports without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Lachielmao (talk) 03:12, 17 April 2024 (UTC)
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Homosexuality in sports in the United States, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

[edit]Hello, I'm SNUGGUMS. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 19:25, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
- Ok I understand. Sorry about that.SigurdsSister (talk) 23:45, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
Copying content within Wikipedia
[edit]I noticed your 19 June 2024 change at Isle of Man TT, where you have copy/pasted content from Beryl Swain, including references and the access dates.
Whereas Copying within Wikipedia is allowed, it is not something that inexperienced editors should attempt, as certain written trails to past copyrighted, incremental, contributions, which are originally, uniquely, created and donated to the project, need to be acknowledged. As a newbie, you wouldn't be expected to know this detail.
Cut/paste moves are more serious and are discouraged, so should not be attempted. I also note you did not leave an edit summary, in common with many other of your changes. Please do so in future, as this will help recent change patrollers. ThanQ.-- 82.13.47.210 (talk) 02:44, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for July 17
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Timeline of women's legal rights in the United States (other than voting), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page ABC News. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 18:42, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
Rollback of your edit of Hispanics in the United States Coast Guard
[edit]I have rolled back your edit of the article Hispanics in the United States Coast Guard because of notability issues. I do not do this because I oppose adding a woman to the article but because the addition of Angelina Hidalgo is a red link and there is no article to prove notability. If the subject is notable for her service to the Coast Guard then an article needs to be written about her with suitable references as to notability. After that is done then the Hispanics in the United States Coast Guard entry could be properly linked to Angelina Hidalgo. Write the article about her first before adding to the Hispanics in the United States Coast Guard article then the notability concern goes away. Thank you for your interest in Coast Guard related articles. Cuprum17 (talk) 10:39, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
Thanks. I created the article and put her picture back again. SigurdsSister (talk) 17:15, 19 August 2024 (UTC)

Blocked as a sockpuppet

Request reason:
I really thought I had been unblocked and I have been trying to make constructive edits to Wikipedia. Is there any way I can be unblocked and be allowed to make edits? Maybe I could only be allowed to make edits under this username or something. Anyway I’ve really been trying to be constructive and I thought the block was up. It seems like a shame there’s no way I can contribute, it’s not like I’m vandalizing and ruining articles. I’m just trying to make good edits. I even got a barnstar.SigurdsSister (talk) 00:54, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
Decline reason:
You need to return to your Dante8 account and request unblock there. 331dot (talk) 08:21, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- As explained above, if you want to continue with your unblock request then leave a comment on your original blocked account Dante8. It should be noted that you were not just blocked for socking, you were also blocked on Dante8 for adding massive amounts of copyrighted material to Wikipedia [1] and lack of communication. You have been evading your block for over a decade, using countless different accounts (over 50 accounts) and IP addresses to evade your block. If you thought you were unblocked why have you been creating dozens of new accounts? There is no chance at all you will be unblocked per WP:EVADE and WP:LTA. But that obviously doesn't matter to you because you will be back editing again like you have been doing for years. You also claim to not have vandalized articles but that is not true, you disrupted the Elsie Shrigley article on many IPS [2] and have used IPS to [3], [4] disrupt articles for years. Psychologist Guy (talk) 08:57, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
- I thought that by waiting until my latest block was gone I could show that I had changed, but that's okay. I'll just go. I really like editing Wikipedia and I think most of my edits have been constructive but if you insist it's all irredeemable I can find some other forum anyway. Anyway I hate communicating with people because I'm terrible at it (probably because I'm autistic) so I'm sorry if I come across as mean or anything. Anyway I guess editing on Wikipedia has become somewhat of an addiction for me, like a video game addiction where it's not a real drug but it still feels like one. Which is why I've pursued it through sockpuppets even though it's caused all this trouble. Are you really a psychologist? Maybe you see what I mean or maybe I'm just being dumb.SigurdsSister (talk) 15:50, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
