Hi MusikAnimal - I was just passing by the AFC submissions and found some submitted by the user, at least three autobiographies till now. I noticed the subject and the creator are alphabetically similar, therefore arrived here to leave user a message about WP:IMPERSONATE, as appears to be notable, but found this user already blocked for WP:SPAMNAME.

It really is not a WP:CORPNAME. It is an Indian male name, with Sanjay, first, R middle and Gupta as the last name and represents a person not a group, corporation or organization. He should instead be asked to identify himself to WMF as per our WP:Notable Person policy or place a rename request. The user warrants a block only if he is found not following above instruction or for WP:NOT. I'm not sure what makes this username look like a CORPNAME. The reason given for block appears invalid to me. Am I missing something?

This block has made the user unable to improve his drafts. One, (Draft:SANJAY GUPTA (Entrepreneur)) is deleted under WP:CSD#G5 criteria (creation by a banned or blocked user in violation of ban or block) of speedy deletion. Well, that was one of three autobiographies. But it may lead his original partially notable looking draft at first instance, to get deleted under same criteria. I'm asking if you would like to re-consider this block and gives him a chance to improve his draft and add one more article to many. Thank you. @Anupmehra: @Sanjayrgupta196: Being human, I do occasionally make mistakes. Being an administrator, I have to be especially careful not to make mistakes with the sysop toolset. Here I fell short of this, and for that I do apologize. Fortunately nearly every administrative action is reversible, but the log entries and potential hampering effect on an editor is not. I'm not sure why I thought it was a corporate name either. I am also not sure of how notable the subject actually is, so in reevaluating the circumstances my inclination would be to do nothing more than warn about writing autobiographies, unless there is some evidence of impersonation. At any rate, I'm confident our AfC team can handle it accordingly, as I do not think a block is warranted in any fashion as it stands now. Hey, this is okay. Actually this sort of coverage of the person in reliable sources (1) gives me an impression of him as a notable person. And, I was just saying, if there should be a block on this user, it may be for using Wikipedia for promotion, seeing repeated creation of promotional autobiography in mainspace and a level 4 warning on this talk page.
