Welcome to my talk page!
Please place new messages at the bottom of this page, or click here to start a new discussion, which will automatically be at the bottom. I will respond to comments here, unless there's a better place for them. Please read the following helpful hints, as well as our talk page guidelines before posting:
Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. That means it is not a social networking site, a place for self-promotion, a marketing tool or a free web host.
I reserve the right to remove or disemvowel inappropriate comments. This includes vandalism, legal threats and trolling. I also reserve the right to rewrite poorly formatted comments for readability.
The possibility that the blog/MySpace page/Youtube Video/sign on a telephone pole you read is a reliable source is roughly equal to the chance that I will be the next Pope. I'm a lesbian. You do the math.
It does not matter if you did hear it from your best friend that her next-door neighbor's cousin knows this guy who once dated someone who went to high school with a roadie for the band you made an article for, we still need a reliable, verifiable source.
If I nominated your page for deletion, read the CSD I nominated it under, one passing mention in a trade magazine does not make your company/band/mummified cat juggling act worthy of a Wikipedia article.
I prefer to be contacted here (as opposed to email) where possible. You're much more likely to get a prompt response. If you are rude, obnoxious, or otherwise behaving nastily, you will simply be reverted.
It's important to realize the propaganda coup the disastrous spying policies of the NSA have handed to authoritarian governments worldwide. They can push through laws clearly designed to tighten control over their citizens, on the premise of protecting them from the NSA, and the public in Russia is likely to have some sympathy. After all, the Brazilians (who appear to have little authoritarian aims at all) are heading down the same path. It's a disaster for an open and free and neutral Internet, an Internet of the world. ~ Jimbo Wales
