If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

On linking to the Old Progressive Party
I do not believe that it would be correct to link the party that participated in the 2022 Pattaya Mayoral election to the old party due to different history and ideology. This Progressive Party is a successor to the Future Forward Party and is similar to the more successful Move Forward Party. I recommend instead that if you want to create a page for the new Progressive Party. There is already a Thai wikipedia article on it if you want to use it as a jumping off board. Our Lady of Charity
Hello, please help us return the page of Our Lady of Charity to gets original title as Our Lady of Charity. It should not be Our Lady of Charity of El Cobre because not all countries worship the Cuban image. Someone wants to monopolize the article name into their own local devotional title and it is a generic name that is for all countries. Also, there are far more important Our Lsdy of Charity Marian images that predate Cuba with a decree of Pontifical coronation and deeper Catholic and pious significance. Thank you for your help. 2603:8000:2A00:3EE6:1948:5FF1:5D6B:5971 (talk) 15:21, 15 November 2023 (UTC)
Al Jazeera disambiguation
I appreciate you adjusting the wikilinks, but shouldn't they redirect to Al Jazeera English instead of Al Jazeera Media Network? David O. Johnson (talk) 16:03, 15 November 2023 (UTC)
- Some of the references say English in the URL or organisation title (similarly with Balkan & Arabic) but where neither is specified then the parent organisation, rather than any of its subsidiaries, is probably approiate. There are still loads of links to the dab page Al Jazeera if you wanted to fix some.— Rod talk 16:08, 15 November 2023 (UTC)

The article Mamprusi (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
This disambiguation page contains the primary topic and one other topic for the ambiguous title and no other topics can be found within a reasonable time.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:02, 24 November 2023 (UTC)

You just reverted my copyedits to Pompeo's book, saying that I needed to add citations. Soccer?
Hello, I assume that that the moving of the US association football team to "soccer" has the only goal to avoid confusion with the American football team, otherwise I wouldn't understand the inconsistency in the naming scheme.. :) -- Blackcat 15:29, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
- The previous link which appeared as "United States" waspiped to united States men's national football team, which is a disambiguation page. As the paragraph was about a FIFA competition the soccer team seemed appropriate. Hallo Rod, Thanks for clearing up after me. I'm not usually so careless about leaving links to dab pages! I hadn't planned on creating that dab page ... just fell down a rabbit-hole of: noticing a redlink to Norman Cross, Cambridgeshire being added to Peterborough, while various other outlying areas were unlinked, and wondering why. Finding that there was a paragraph about the place, buried in the article about the former prison camp. Creating the article about the place by copying (with acknowledgement!) that para, and finding a source to add. And coords and a pic. Then thinking that rather than "Norman Cross" redirecting to the prison camp it should be a dab page, and creating the dab page, and removing the dab hatnote from the prison camp article. But forgetting the golden rule of "If you turn a redirect into a dab page, you need to clean up any incoming links"! We were going out for the day and I was running out of time. Got home and found a vast number of notifications for links made to the village, and realised what I'd forgotten to do. So thanks for the tidying-up work, and Happy New Year. Thank you for fixing the links here that led to disambiguation pages; On that note, is there an easy way to check whether any of a bunch of links go to dab pages, short of actively following each one in turn? Moonraker12 (talk) 21:46, 27 December 2023 (UTC)
- If you go to the drop down menu top right & select "Preferences", then choose the Gadgets" tab, scroll down to "Appearance" & put a tick next to "Display links to disambiguation pages in orange" it will show any links to dab pages in yellow. You then need to go to the dab page and select the correct link. Middlesbrough
Hi Rodw! I hope it helps to point out that DisamAssist is doing you a disservice in edits like this because it is leaving the misspelt "Middlesborough" on display when really it needs to simply change the link to "Middlesbrough" and do away with the extra O. Does that make sense? Cheers DBaK (talk) 12:19, 8 January 2024 (UTC)

However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAN, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges (Cwmhiraeth (talk · contribs), Epicgenius (talk · contribs), and Frostly (talk · contribs)) are reachable on their talk pages. Edits to 1869 Chicago mayoral election
I know it was two years ago, but you disambiguated "Citizens Party" at 1869 Chicago mayoral election to White Citizens Party without providing citations that indicated that this was what had been meant by "Citizens Party" in that election. Do you have sources that indicate that? SecretName101 (talk) 19:46, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
- I don't remember the specific edit, but looking at the list on the dab page Citizens Party neither of the other options Citizens Party (United States) and Citizens Party of the United States existed in 1869. I must have assumed that the one linked to Thomas H. Brown (mayor) was in Wisconsin & not Illinois. All the others are not in the US. I see "Citizens Party" has been unlinked to avoid either White Citizens Party or the dab page. It is always possible someone will put a link back but if you have it watchlisted I am sure you can deal with that.— Rod talk 20:18, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah, in municipal elections “Citizens Party” were usually city-centered parties. Often only existed for single elections to run a third-party slate SecretName101 (talk) 01:13, 16 February 2024 (UTC)

- I don't think it has its own article here, I guess we could link it to the actual Sega Retro page? I'm not too knowledable on wikipedia edits as I'm quite new to it.
Every Little Thing She does Is Magic
Hi Rodw, I was looking at at the genres that counted the song "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" by the Police. And I can't find the genres in the link that said the song was "new wave, synth pop, and power pop" Iamthegoat524 (talk) 23:23, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
- I meant so say pop rock instead of synth pop my bad Iamthegoat524 (talk) 23:24, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
- Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic currently has New wave, pop rock & power pop. Are you saying this should be Synth-pop & Power pop? I am not familiar enough with the nuances of music genres to know whether that is appropriate.— Rod talk 07:58, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
- no, I'm trying to find out where the source says the genre is new wave, pop rock, and power pop Iamthegoat524 (talk) 23:52, 19 February 2024 (UTC)

Thank you very much for clearing up the origin question! People have been stuck with "one man consensus" gatekeeping by a user named TaivoLinguist (note the missing "The" in between, by the way). Apparently, the linguist in question had managed to get a wp:consensus on purely linguistic origins of borscht, e.g. this word with funny spelling. And then, for several following years, TaivoLinguist would refer to it whenever a completely different question - where the dish itself would originate from - would arise. 2A00:1FA0:4110:9C43:17B5:3FCC:A405:58C5 (talk) 18:16, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
