Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Roberto25664546825. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Draft:Secondary Capital, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:44, 11 August 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Paid editing
[edit] As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Roberto25664546825, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Roberto25664546825|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Theroadislong (talk) 09:19, 11 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you.
- I have no financial stake in promoting this. I declare I am not compensated for any wirting/submission. How can i declare that i am not paid and continue with submission? Roberto25664546825 (talk) 09:24, 11 August 2022 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you. You should also respond to the COI query I posted earlier, above. This covers other, non-paid types of COI, such as if you personally know the company owners, or used to work for them, etc. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:35, 11 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hello,
- thank your for your comments.
- As I am not paid and have no COI, What exactly should I declare on my user page? Can you please suggest the exact coding/wording?
- I made few modifications, it would be very helpful if you could check if now it is complaint.

- It still reads as blatant advertising, it is hard to believe that you have no connection to this company. "Direct secondary market is still in a development phase and it is following the same trend as the LP stake market with similar penetration rate. Considering the combined value of all Unicorns companies and applying a 1% penetration rate, direct secondary market size in 2021 is estimated to be around $30B." for example is unsourced pure promotional marketing speak. Theroadislong (talk) 10:18, 11 August 2022 (UTC)
- I have to say I agree with TRIL; putting AGF etc. aside for a moment, there is content in this draft which reads very much like an insider has written it. If it were all referenced to a published source, then fine, but much of it is unsupported, begging the obvious question — where is it all coming from? I also note that you've uploaded the company's logo as your own work, which similarly suggests some sort of affiliation. But since you say you have no COI, how would you then describe your relationship with the company, in your own words? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:31, 11 August 2022 (UTC)
- I am only a passionate and professionals in the private equity space and I am following the evolution of this market tracking all the new firms emerging.
- Do you think this is anyway a COI? If yes i will declare it.
- Best,
- V. Roberto25664546825 (talk) 10:40, 11 August 2022 (UTC)
- If that means that you work in the industry, even if not for this company, yes, that is a COI. 331dot (talk) 12:53, 11 August 2022 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you. You should also respond to the COI query I posted earlier, above. This covers other, non-paid types of COI, such as if you personally know the company owners, or used to work for them, etc. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:35, 11 August 2022 (UTC)

[edit]- Thank you!
- From my understanding this firm is quite new in the market, founded 2020, so I was not able to find sources referring to the firm. Roberto25664546825 (talk) 13:46, 11 August 2022 (UTC)
- Which means that we can't have an article on them, Wikipedia articles are based on the significant coverage found in independent reliable sources. Theroadislong (talk) 13:55, 11 August 2022 (UTC)
