User talk:Remembergeorge
Welcome!
Hello Remembergeorge, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.
In Wikipedia, new Users do not automatically receive a welcome; not even a machine-generated welcome. Welcome messages come from other Users. They are personal and genuine. They contain an offer of assistance if such assistance is ever desired.
I suggest to everyone I welcome that they may find some of the following helpful — there’s nothing personal in my suggestion and you may not need any of them:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Avoiding common mistakes
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on Talk pages (ie discussion pages) using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! Dolphin51 (talk) 21:32, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
An article you recently created, Panarama, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Mccapra (talk) 04:44, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
Hello Mccapra,
with great surprise and also disappointment I learned that my article does not comply with Wikipedia's guidelines.
This surprises me even more, as my article is the exact translation of my German-language article about Panarama: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panarama
In the German Wikipedia there were no problems with the publication. You have to know that I am a friend of the musician Hermann Weindorf and that my information is first hand. I can't contribute more than the two sources given in the article. So where is the problem? Remembergeorge (talk) 11:44, 10 August 2021 (UTC)

- Hi, I just have edited my article and added some more sources. I hope that fits now. The same article was published in German and French with the same sources without any trouble. A Dutch version with the same content is coming soon, too. Kind regards Remembergeorge (talk) 09:48, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
Battlement
[edit]Hi - you write very well and you obviously know a lot about your subjects. But I wanted to let you know that there are problems with some of your sources. The different language Wikipedias all have their own different rules, so while some sources might be acceptable on the German Wikipedia, for example, they might not be acceptable on the English Wikipedia. I've had a quick look at the Battlement article, and one big problem that I can see is that it depends heavily on blogs and community websites from around the world. These fail WP:USERG, so it means none of the critical reception section can be used, unfortunately - reviews have to come from professional journalists in reputable sources, for example, music magazines or newspapers. I realise this makes it very difficult to find reliable sources, especially as the album is from such a long time ago and any reviews from music magazines from th3 time of the album's release won't be available in digital form on the internet... I have the same problem when writing about British music from the 1970s and 80s.
I also moved some of the sections of the previous Neuschwanstein album that you wrote... track listing and personnel usually go at the end of the artcle. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Album article style advice gives you an idea of the order that the sections of album articles normally follow. Richard3120 (talk) 03:40, 13 March 2022 (UTC)

- Hi, I am sure that Neuschwanstein meets the criteria of WP:NBAND.
- In my opinion, it is especially points 5, 7 and 9 that apply.
- No. 5: Two albums released on Musea, the biggest progressive rock label worldwide.
- No. 7: Hundreds of articles and reviews worldwide are a clear sign of the group's importance for this style. See also my articles on the 3 albums, Alice in Wonderland, Battlement and Fine Art.
- No. 9: See my article on Alice in Wonderland.
- As Bernard Gueffier, the general manager of Musea Records assured me, "Battlement" was one of the best selling albums in the entire Musea catalogue.

Speedy deletion nomination of Alice in Wonderland (Neuschwanstein album)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Alice in Wonderland (Neuschwanstein album) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article does not exist or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. AfC notification: Draft:Neuschwanstein (band) has a new comment
[edit]Double spaces
[edit]Just an FYI... You may not know that the Wikipedia "engine" cleans up excess spaces. So if you look at the next line using the editor, you will see that ...
- this line has multiple excess spaces
but when rendered it is shown cleaned up. So there is no need to spend time correcting excess horizontal spaces. 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 19:47, 21 December 2022 (UTC)
