Relentlessly, this is a reminder that you were going to be looking up secondary sources for this article and DYK nomination. You thought it would take a couple of weeks. Can you please keep us apprised of your progress on the nomination template above? Checking in about once a week would be helpful at this point. Many thanks. Non-free uploads
Any possible ways to prevent the images that I've uploaded to be deleted? Alexey88 (talk) 09:09, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
- Alexey88, my belief is that they are not going to be permitted under Wikipedia's non-free content policy, because they are entirely replaceable. If you wish to contest my point, the correct procedure is laid out on all the file pages that I've tagged. Relentlessly (talk) 13:53, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
- Replaceable? Can you explain. Alexey88 (talk) 14:32, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
- Non-free media can only be used if it is not replaceable with free media. See the non-free content policy. A2soup (talk) 14:36, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
- Alexey88, see, for instance File:Route_of_the_2014_Tour_de_France.png, which is a route map created by a Wikipedia user, not by the organising company, so it is freely licensed. A similar image could be created for any of the route maps you have provided, which means that the images are at least theoretically replaceable, so they contravene the non-free content policy. Relentlessly (talk) 14:43, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
- What do you expect from me to allow the images of the route of cycling events? I do think the image of the route of cycling events is important and should make place in the Wikipedia articles. Alexey88 (talk) 14:49, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
- Alexey88, they are good additions to the articles, but Wikipedia does not allow non-free content without adequate justification. You haven't provided that, and my opinion is that you cannot. If you wish to contest my nominations, put {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}} on the page, as instructed by the notice I added. Relentlessly (talk) 15:15, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

Paris nice
Good job on writing it, I really enjoyed reading it! Also, could you not use commas in palmares that don't have any? I think it looks better. Nice win for Sagan today eh? Mattsnow81 (Talk) 16:11, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Mattaidepikiw. I'm never quite sure how to format a palmares section, but I'll keep an eye out and do as you suggest. I have to say I can't stand Sagan and am always happy to see him lose! Thanks for your comments on Paris-Nice – I have to tackle T-A next! Relentlessly (talk) 16:14, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hahaha, I actually like Sagan a lot! He's a character, so people either love him or hate him! My nemesis would be Cavendish! Thanks for all the great work, I'll probably write the Tour of California like I did in 2012 and 2013. Mattsnow81 (Talk) 16:25, 16 March 2015 (UTC)

Cycling race articles
Hey man, good work on all the articles, they look great! I've made sure that we now have all articles for 2015 UCI continental teams - can you make sure that when you do the teams sections in the race articles we link back to these- only I've just corrected a few red links of the GP Nobili page. For reference all the teams are here: List of 2015 UCI Professional Continental and Continental teams Much appreciated XyZAn (talk) 17:11, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
- Cheers, XyZAn. I will indeed do that. Indeed, I'll try to sort out {{ct}} data for them all. We also should make proper pages for UCI Professional Continental and UCI Continental at some point – the current pages are a bit lacking. Relentlessly (talk) 18:22, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
Cycling
Merci Relentlessly.

Invitation
Hello, Relentlessly,
The Editing team is asking for your help with VisualEditor. I am contacting you because you have switched out of VisualEditor several times. Please tell them what they need to change to make VisualEditor work for you, so that you didn't need to switch to the wikitext editor. The team has a list of top-priority problems, but they also want to hear about small problems. These problems may make editing less fun, take too much of your time, or be as annoying as a paper cut. The Editing team wants to hear about and try to fix these small things, too.
You can share your thoughts by clicking this link. You may respond to this quick, simple, anonymous survey in your own language. If you take the survey, then you agree your responses may be used in accordance with these terms. This survey is powered by Qualtrics and their use of your information is governed by their privacy policy.
More information (including a translateable list of the questions) is posted on wiki at mw:VisualEditor/Survey 2015. If you have questions, or prefer to respond on-wiki, then please leave a message on the survey's talk page.

Hey, if you're concerned about Binky Brown Meets the Holy Virgin Mary, it wouldn't bother me if you reverted the pass and took another shot at the review (especially given the bot hasn't made it official yet). Curly Turkey ¡gobble! 23:46, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks, Curly Turkey, that's generous of you. I'm not worried about the nomination per se, but about the mechanics of it, which don't seem to be working. If you have any ideas about what I've done wrong, they would be gratefully received! Relentlessly (talk) 08:17, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- I don't think you've done anything wrong. I was talking about whether you thought you'd done a thorough enough job on the review, since you seemed unsure—it wouldn't bother me if you reopened it and took another crack at it. I'm hoping to take it to FAC, so the sooner the bugs get ironed out the better. Don't feel like you need to, though—I'm just offering the opportunity if you want it. 2003 Cricket World Cup Final GA
Now when I look at the article part of me feels that I've done justice to such an important article. Thanks for the decent review. :) —Vensatry (ping) 16:50, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
- Cheers, Vensatry, it's a good article. Well done! If you ever are working on another article and want help/advice, I'd be more than happy to volunteer. Relentlessly (talk) 08:42, 29 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for the kind words. I intend to develop this article further and take it to FAC. I'll go for a PR soon. Feel free to comment there. —Vensatry (ping) 11:07, 29 April 2015 (UTC)
is sure to occur with a finish like that! Congrats on the GAs you did. It's a shame that all the cycling websites are ignoring the Tour of Croatia, where the hell can I gather some references to write on Grega Bole's article? Mattsnow81 (Talk) 17:01, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Mattaidepikiw. Thanks – I've just started nominating 2015 Milan – San Remo for FAC. Fingers crossed!
- Those crashes in Croatia looked like bad news – I turned over for the finish for a brief break from the boringness that is the first 204.2 kilometres of Fleche Wallonne... I reckon your best chance on Bole's article is La Gazzetta dello Sport, but I'm by no means sure they'll cover it. My Italian's decent enough to read it; my Croatian, not so much! Relentlessly (talk) 17:10, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
- I've found a French reference for the Tour of Croatia. :) French is my maternal language. Probably this site will write articles everyday about the Tour of Croatia, if you need them. Mattsnow81 (Talk) 18:30, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
- Wow, FAC, means the featured article on the front page? That would be awesome! Got a link so I can vote? Mattsnow81 (Talk) 15:57, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah, eventually. It looks like quite a bruising process to get there, but I'm going to give it a go! It's at WP:FAC. Relentlessly (talk) 16:02, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
- I've voted for it, but my vote winds up here. I'm very freaking confused. Is it OK you think? Mattsnow81 (Talk) 16:15, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, that is right, I think! Thank you for your kind words. I'm sure some of the regular FA reviewers will be along soon with (useful) critical comments. Relentlessly (talk) 16:51, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
- Sorry for not dissecting it, I have a very short attention span (hence why I make small edit to riders' articles as stuff happens). Besides, I'm not used to what they want in FAC, it's the first time I've been there. But stay assured I read all of the article, and it's a great great read! Mattsnow81 (Talk) 17:03, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
- Maybe @Lugnuts: would be interested in all this, he's got experience. Mattsnow81 (Talk) 17:06, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
- I went to the nomination and saw that nothing has changed! How depressing. I have a small suggestion: you could add one picture in the 'Route' section? I know it's not easy, uploading a pic here is harder than smuggling a bomb at the airport. Mattsnow81 (Talk) 19:18, 26 April 2015 (UTC)

@Mattaidepikiw: I know, but hopefully patience will be rewarded! I would love to add a picture to the route section, but I don't know how to begin to make a map and I can't find any good photos of anywhere interesting on the route. Ideas welcome... Relentlessly (talk) 19:30, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
- Well, I checked it out and there isn't many options :(. I'm a nullity when it comes to uploading picture here, I know you can use those on Flickr that are Creative Commons but they are few. Speaking of pics, I made a huge edit (for me) on Alberto Contador, then tried to find a pic on Commons. Look at this poor crap... I definitely have to read more about how to upload legal pics. BTW, do you think he can make the Giro-Tour double? That would be something :) Mattsnow81 (Talk) 17:21, 30 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi Relentlessly, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled right to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the patroller right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Hello friend! I would only like to know if you could help me: where did you get the stage maps for the Tour of Oman? I'd like to do the same for California, if I can. Thanks :) Feel free to add to the article of course :) Mattsnow81 (Talk) 20:10, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
- I got them off Commons – I didn't create them, sadly. They are made from OpenStreetMap data by Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick. I'd love to be able to replicate them for other articles! Relentlessly (talk) 20:40, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
- OK, I'll see what I can do, thank you. If you want to see the ToC on the internet, I discovered last year a legal streaming that is of superb quality: [1] Just wanted to let you know. Mattsnow81 (Talk) 21:11, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
- Mattaidepikiw & Relentlessly : if a day you want specific maps, you can list the races on my French talk page. I sometimes have the time to create these cards (not in this moment, I just finish the 2015 Four Days of Dunkirk and I must upload the photos). I found informations on the website of the 2015 Tour of California, and I will draw the maps during the month, because there is a good work on your article. It always will be a pleasure to help you, because we also need maps. For the future, we will work together for infobox and classifications thanks to Wikidata. - You are awesome @Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick:! Thank you! - Well actually, I'd like it if you could proofread it and correct my English a bit if you see formulation mistakes, but would it be possible to do that AFTER the stage? Because I am writing it slowly as I watch it and that would create an edit conflict. Mattsnow81 (Talk) 19:06, 12 May 2015 (UTC)

Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Congratulations on the GAs!
So glad to see you back, I took a bit of a step back also. I managed my first GA with the 2015 Tour de Suisse and some help :) I see the Eneco Tour is coming along great. Most important of all, how are you? Mattsnow81 (Talk) 15:01, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
- Nice to see you, Matt. Yes, I'm very well – a brilliant but ludicrously busy period of my life is now over. I saw that was a GA – great work! Quite a little production line going on. Hope all's well with you. 2015 USA Pro Cycling Challenge? Relentlessly (talk) 15:10, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
- Great! I think I need a break a bit longer. I had a lesson when working to make TdS GA: don't write an article as you watch the race on TV! It doesn't help for the references at all. I will do the Canadian races, undoubtedly. Mattsnow81 (Talk) 09:48, 14 August 2015 (UTC)

Saggy
I could not NOT come out of slumber after that magnificent win by Sagan :) Article updated in neutral fashion. Mattsnow81 (Talk) 18:31, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
- Also, yes, I did think of you when I saw that, and it was well-deserved. And helped by the fact that I don't much like Degenkolb or Bouhanni either! Relentlessly (talk) 11:42, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
- What's not to like about Degenkolb? He is a pretty cool guy! And not as thick as Kittel... Have you seen the movie "Clean Spirit"? It's about Argos-Shimano's 2013 Tour, really interesting. And I just realize that that movie still needs a Wikipedia article... Zwerg Nase (talk) 11:53, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
- I'm sure he's lovely. I have two principal objections: first was the 2014 P-R, where I didn't like him following wheels to second place, and the second is those shampoo adverts... Relentlessly (talk) 12:00, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
- I agree on that last part. Alpecin is seriously the company with the worst advertising in German TV history. And the Degenkolb one is the best of them!! See here. Zwerg Nase (talk) 12:51, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
