Unified list of indigenous minority peoples of the North, Siberia, and the Far East of Russia
You closed Talk:Unified list of indigenous minority peoples of the North, Siberia, and the Far East of Russia#Requested move 28 October 2023. The decision was wrong on two counts: 1) it is the title of a document and should be in title case. 2) Even if in sentence case, Indigenous must be capitalized per MOS:PEOPLANG and consistency with Lists of Indigenous peoples of Russia and the lists listed in it. It appears you acted on the suggestion in a single comment before there was an opportunity to respond to it. —Michael Z. 05:35, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
- № 2 seems valid. The number was the consensus. I'm sorry if you couldn't respond within the 7 day listing. I’ll move per your suggestion. Best, Reading Beans (talk) 10:48, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
- This is Done. Best, Reading Beans (talk) 10:52, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you. This is an improvement. But as the closure is moved and not no consensus, it may preclude another RM, and the question of it being a document title wasn’t even addressed. The single comment ignored the facts I presented and introduced no additional rationale or sources. I think this would benefit from a fuller discussion, or at least a clear consensus among more than two editors. —Michael Z. 16:52, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
- So, what are you saying? Best, Reading Beans (talk) 06:14, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
- I’m wondering what the remedy is. If there’s no better idea, I suppose I will start a new RM and try to make all of the issues clearer, and hope for more participation. —Michael Z. 15:22, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
- I think the current title is fine myself, and would have supported the eventual outcome had I voted. There doesn't seem to be evidence in sources that this is a proper name - many downcase it, it's a translated term anyway, and even the usage of minority vs small-numbered seems split. — Amakuru (talk) 17:11, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
- Translated titles are generally in title case per MOS:TITLECAPS and the examples in MOS:FOREIGNTITLE. For example, it’s War and Peace not War and peace. So it follows that:
- Russian: Единый перечень коренных малочисленных народов Севера, Сибири и Дальнего Востока Российской Федерации
- Transliteration: Edinyĭ perechenʹ korennykh malochislennykh narodov Severa, Sibiri, i Dalʹnego Vostoka Rossiĭskoĭ Federatsii
- Translated title: “Unified List of Indigenous Minority Peoples of the North, Siberia, and the far East of the Russian Federation.”
- And in my admittedly brief searching I got the impression most sources use title case for various translations of it.
- To be clear, this is only the case because the subject of the title is the official government document: “Unified List of . . . ,” and neither an article about the “Indigenous minority peoples . . .” nor a Wikipedia “List of Indigenous minority . . .”).
- I’ll start another RM if there’s no objection. —Michael Z. 17:42, 1 December 2023 (UTC)

I'm in regrets.
Please do me a favour and read the last message in the talk page of the administrator called "Deb" here: User_talk:Deb#Another_Sock. If there's anyway you can help, I would really appreciate. I reported a sockpuppet vandalising the article Johnel and the admin misunderstood my report and deleted the article thinking it was what I was reporting. I've been pleading for a revert but e just be like say I dey yarn dust. Please I don't know how to link the admin talk page here. Help me and go through the discussion. Thank you! Adambenji (talk) 03:14, 4 December 2023 (UTC)
- Calm down. He misunderstood the situation but leaving multiple messages on his talkpage won't help. Just wait till they reply. Mhm? It will be sorted out; Deb is understanding and calm. Best, Reading Beans (talk) 06:59, 4 December 2023 (UTC)
- I hope so. Thank you for your kind response Adambenji (talk) 07:12, 4 December 2023 (UTC)

DYK for Ngwa people
On 15 December 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Ngwa people, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Ngwa people are the largest clan in Igboland? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Ngwa people. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Ngwa people), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

- In this edit you introduced the sentence
- "In order to meet the demand for slave from the Bight of Biafra, defaulters condemned by the Long Juju and people kidnapped by the members of the Okonko society in Ngwaland."
- I can't read this. What is a 'defaulter'? Where did the slaves come from? Could you please go back and make this a complete sentence? Shenme (talk) 03:32, 15 December 2023 (UTC)

Requested move
Can you explain this closure[1]? I provided various sources against the name you moved the page to, and the name you moved the page to doesn't seem like a common name.VR talk 01:59, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- You want the move to be overturned? Best, Reading Beans (talk) 14:55, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) it looks a decent enough close to me. If the year is inaccurate then one could certainly consider amending to 2022–23 or similar, but overall I think the consensus was clear to not include direct mention of India in the title. Sources I'm seeing also sometimes mention Israel within the title too, so there isn't a clear pattern and omitting country names is sensible. Finally, I would strongly oppose any inclusion of alleged in the title. This is explicitly discouraged at MOS:ALLEGED, and is entirely unnecessary. Stating what the case is about doesn't imply we agree with it. — Amakuru (talk) 15:30, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- The year is definitely (not "if") inaccurate - I provided evidence to support that and noone rebutted that. Also why is omitting country name sensible when most RS mention it? Point taken about not using alleged in the title.VR talk 04:04, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- I have no prejudice to a new RM. I tried interpreting the consensus reached there and I’m sorry you do not agree with the closure. Best, Reading Beans (talk) 07:03, 18 December 2023 (UTC)

Professor Babatunde Lawal Salako
Hi, I was notified that you have already written an article on Prof. Babatunde Lawal Salako. I would like to know if you are still working on moving the page to the main space. Thanks. Kareemkahel (talk) 22:40, 17 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Kareemkahel, who notified you that I have written an article about him?
- Anyways, what I did was to draftify the article because it was unsuitable due to copyright violations. I still have reservations about the page concerning copyright. Can you check if the article still has some violation? (Check here https://copyvios.toolforge.org/). Best, Reading Beans (talk) 07:01, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
- OK, I will go through it Kareemkahel (talk) 08:10, 18 December 2023 (UTC)

I need your help, please
Hello Reading Beans, (Lol. What a name!), Thank you for your recent reviews of two articles that I created, Alfred Akawe Torkula and Zaki Biam Yam Market.
I created the article, Juwon Lawal Razaq, and moved it to main space last month. However, it was neither reviewed nor returned to draft space nor any tag placed on it, and I have been worried as to what this means. All articles I have created in the past usually get reviewed or reactions for improvement the same day or within a week. Some days ago, out of worry, I erroneously moved it to draft space to work on it again and returned it to main space, hoping that it would be seen and get a reaction. However, I woke up the next day with only a caution about moving articles between spaces which I apologized. Could you please help me check it out and review if in good standing or make appropriate recommendations, please? Thank you. Bemmax (talk) 08:57, 27 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Bemmax, I didn’t review this because I wasn’t sure he is notable. Best, Reading Beans (talk) 20:41, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
- Okay, at least I have an idea why it's still on hold. Thank you. Would it be appropriate for me to ask another reviewer that has reviewed any of my articles in the past to look at it too, since you didn't take any action? Bemmax (talk) 02:58, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
- Some people do not review at request but you can give it a shot or you can leave it in the queue for an uninvolved editor to look at. Best, Reading Beans (talk) 03:57, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for your guidance. I'll leave it in queue then. Bemmax (talk) 05:23, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
