Your cut and paste page move has been reversed

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Love Yourself World Tour a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into REDMARE. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 21:27, 23 January 2020 (UTC)

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Music samples

Hello, I noted that you uploaded several music samples, such as File:Red Velvet - Be Natural (feat. TAEYONG).ogg. Please keep in mind WP:NFCC that a sample can only last for maximum 30 seconds. If the music samples fail this requirement, they will be deleted from Wikipedia. Thanks, and have fun editing, (talk) 04:06, 21 December 2020 (UTC)

I see that you have modified yourself the music samples. Thank you very much and I'm sorry for the inconvenience I have caused. LipaCityPH

GA review

Hi, I hope you are doing well. I was wondering if you could do the GAN for my article, the 1989 World Tour? Thank you so much in advance, (talk) 05:22, 30 December 2020 (UTC)

@: Hi! I badly want to do it however, I'm very unfamiliar yet with the criteria and how to review a good article nominations. I only edit, fix, and rewrite articles for the meantime. I'm currently trying to learn the system and environment of Wikipedia for now. I do feel sorry since you did a very great job in reviewing the article I nominated yet I can't do the same to you. I apologize for that. :( I will try my best to learn it so that I will be able to do reviews in the future. I hope this doesn't affect the (little friendship?) we had because of the teamwork for the Psycho (Red Velvet song) :) LipaCityPH (talk) 05:46, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
No worries, it's fine! I understand it takes time to learn through the process of reviewing and nominating articles, so don't feel obliged to fulfill my wish! I hope you will learn a lot during your time here, (talk) 07:14, 30 December 2020 (UTC)

I think we can deepen RV article.

As watching BTS, I think we can make article much deeper with information.

  • We can update their photo, because they've been working until 2019.
  • We can describe their "Red" and "Velvet" theme much further, because it is one of their features of music.
  • We can add some accidents or incidents that is related to Red Velvet such as Wendy's fall or Irene's gapjil incident or reporter's interview during 2018 Pyongyang concert
  • We can add the fandom of Red Velvet.

Well, I have more idea to improve RV article, so if you have any idea, please leave message on talk page. -- Wendylove (talk) 10:48, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

@웬디러비: Hello there! Thank you for talking about these matters! I do agree that we need to do a lot of adding information on Red Velvet's article/page. What I do worry the most however is the sources needed for those information. What I meant was "reliable sources" that will support and be added to references section of the page. This is because that:
  • There are few references that I can see regarding their concept (which I am sad about) :(
  • The pictures needed are required to be in rules/laws of Wikimedia Commons in which they are very stict about copyrighted materials. There are few pictures uploaded. Link: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Red_Velvet_(musical_group)
  • I think adding accidents or incidents that is related to Red Velvet is also okay, however I don't know whether it fits the article of Red Velvet or the individual pages/articles of the members. Please enlighten me about this. :)
  • I wanted to add the fandom before. Let's add it after we fully plan our addition of articles to Red Velvet (group) page! :) Hope to be working with you soon regarding these matters. LipaCityPH (talk) 11:14, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
@LipaCityPH: I'll find some Korean articles which include those things we discussed. Let's try to make it "Good Article" -- Wendylove (talk) 02:16, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
@웬디러비: That would be great! Thank you so much! I'll try to help as soon as possible. Happy New Year! :) LipaCityPH (talk) 06:33, 01 January 2021 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Would U, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Liar and His Lover. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Red Velvet - Spring is Coming (performance screenshot).png

Thank you for uploading File:Red Velvet - Spring is Coming (performance screenshot).png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 27 February 2021 (UTC)

Infobox syntax

Hi ReVeluv02, thanks for your contributions. However I noticed that in your contributions, in particular the infobox, you didn't make each parameters as newline but rather bunch them altogether. Please don't do that as it causes readability issues for other editors when they are editing in source mode. From my understand, you copied from your sandbox over to mainspace after you're done with your draft, however please make sure you reformat the infobox before publishing it.

While I know that, your sandbox consisting of multiple draft and at the same time, also multiple infobox which using the formatted infobox syntax will cause the 2nd and beyond infobox to not display/rendered, however in mainspace, each article would only have 1 infobox with exception like SMTOWN Live-type article where there would be multiple infoboxes. For articles, like SMTOWN Live, it is okay to have the syntax bunch together (as mentioned, is because of rendering issues), however for article where there will only be 1 infobox, it is not okay.

For your references, on what I'm actually talking about, below is two examples:

K-pop industry terminology

Hi. Please avoid using K-pop industry terminology that isn't widely understood in a certain way outside of that industry. Most Western readers understand a title track to be a track that shares the name of the album or EP. The K-pop industry uses it interchangeably as a term for "lead single" even when, unlike the song "Like Water" from Like Water, it does not share the name of the album or EP it appears on. So please try to use the term lead single. Also, most Western readers do not add 'ballad' as a genre to infoboxes. I'm aware that ballad as a genre is a categorisation that is widespread in K-pop for bands or soloists whose main genre is pop doing a slow sentimental (love) song, but ballad is not widely considered a genre in the same way that pop or rock is, as ballads are a type of song that can be performed in several genres, so we should try listing that as its genre in the infobox. Thanks. Ss112 11:17, 17 April 2021 (UTC)

@Ss112: Thank you for the clarification! I'll take note of the things you said. :) Sorry for the inconvenience. ReVeluv02 (talk) 11:34, 17 April 2021 (UTC)

Wording and consistency

Hi ReVeluv02, I'm currently just have time to go through couple of Joy single/songs article you have added. However, I seen that you're using the number rather than position when referring to the position in which the single charted on. For consistency (to chart table and to overall discography table), position would be the correct word to use rather than having an mixed term. Thanks you and happy editing. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 03:04, 17 June 2021 (UTC)

@Paper9oll: Hi! I'm sorry about that. I was having a problem on that too. I was thinking of what word should I use. I'll be noting your comment regarding that. Sorry once again and thank you! :) ReVeluv02 (talk) 03:46, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
@Paper9oll: Hello! Regarding that by the way, does that apply to every song articles with chart positions? I was checking out other articles from other artists (some even are good articles), use number instead of positions. However, I did follow your instructions anyway! :) Can you please enlighten me on when should I use the word "number" and "position" on the charting part of the article (most especially on the reception part of articles). Thank you once again! ^-^ ReVeluv02 (talk) 03:55, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
@ReVeluv02: Hi, no need to apologize lol. In my opinion, using position would be better as both the chart table and the discography table is using peak position in the table heading. For consistency, using positions is the better choice. As for GA, I have no comment on that as GA are mostly reviewed by editors like you and me (yes, you can contribute by reviewing GA nomination, just don't review your own submitted GA will do) and I even saw new editor that aren't extended confirmed doing GA review and just passing it. Maybe, the GA reviewer isn't so concern about consistency but rather quality instead. Anyway, would suggest sticking to position as it is the wording used on both table (chart and discography). @Paper9oll: Oh okay! Thank you so much for the clarification! I will stick to your suggestion then! :) ReVeluv02 (talk) 04:08, 17 June 2021 (UTC)

Wikilinking

Hi ReVeluv02, would appreciate that next time when you wikilink, don't change the syntax (it is following the template example where the space are equalize to ensure better editing). Thanks you and happy editing! Paper9oll (🔔📝) 08:50, 24 August 2021 (UTC)

Hello Paper9oll! I'm sorry if I made a mistake. I'm not actually familiar with syntax and such regarding your concern. Can you please elaborate more. I'm just familiar at editing and making articles for now. Thank you anyway for telling me what mistake I made. I appreciate it a lot! ^_^ ReVeluv02 (talk) 09:10, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
@ReVeluv02 I'm not sure how you actually wikilinked, but when you wikilinked it and published, your revision removed all the spacing.

Example (Prior)

{{Track listing
| headline = Track listing for Queendom
| extra_column = Arrangement

| title1 = Queendom
| lyrics1 = Jo Yoon-kyung
| music1 =
| extra1 = minGtion (ko)
| length1 = 3:01

| title2 = Pose
...

Example (After your wikilinked revision)

{{Track listing
| headline = Track listing for Queendom
| extra_column = Arrangement
| title1 = Queendom
| lyrics1 = Jo Yoon-kyung
| music1 =
| extra1 = minGtion (ko)
| length1 = 3:01
| title2 = Pose

The example is not the full coding, I just copy the top part for example. As you can see, the prior version has consistency spacing where the = is all aligned and there are spacing between each track, while your wikilinked revision removed all the consistency spacing. I welcome your edit, however please prevent from going against the styling as defined with the example on Template:Track listing#Usage. Thanks a lot. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 09:21, 24 August 2021 (UTC)

Oh, I get it now! I actually didn't know that happened. I wikilink such through "visual editing", not the typical "source editing". Maybe it has something to do with the type of editing the page I make. I'm sorry anyway and thank you for showing my mistake. :) ReVeluv02 (talk) 09:23, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
@ReVeluv02 No problem. Happy editing! Paper9oll (🔔📝) 09:34, 24 August 2021 (UTC)

Request

Could you start an article for Red Velvet's single Sappy? Thanks.TheHotwiki (talk) 09:39, 24 August 2021 (UTC)

Hi TheHotwiki! Thank you for your request. :) I've been wanting as well to make an article regarding Red Velvet's Japanese second single "Sappy". However, there are too little citations I could get regarding its composition and reception. ONly if there were a lot of that reliable information, I could make an article regarding that! :( Same goes for #Cookie Jar. It seems that there is too little reliable information about the song. :( ReVeluv02 (talk) 09:55, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
Okay. Anyway thanks for your contributions in Red Velvet's articles.TheHotwiki (talk) 09:58, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
Don't worry, if I'll be able to find many references, I'll be making an article for sure! Thank you also for seeing my contributions to Red Velvet! I try to make genuine and factual articles regarding them! I'll take note of your request on the future. Thank you! :) ReVeluv02 (talk) 10:04, 24 August 2021 (UTC)

Hi TheHotwiki! I have actually made an article for Sappy. There is too little information and articles covering "Sappy" but I tried making a genuine article about it. ReVeluv02 (talk) 14:34, 26 August 2021 (UTC)

Yeah I just saw it a few minutes ago. Thank you for creating the article!TheHotwiki (talk) 14:36, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
