File permission problem with File:The prince of tabla Shariq Mustafa.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:The prince of tabla Shariq Mustafa.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 23:01, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

Shariq Mustafa moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Shariq Mustafa, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:

Speedy deletion nomination of Pokras Lampas
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Pokras Lampas requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Don't delete
[edit]There is no reason to delete it. I follow calligraphy so I'm creating a page for this artist. His work is notable and representable. I do not know him in any personal or professional capacity. Wiki prompted article creation for him. Otinflewer (talk) 11:22, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.studentshow.com/pokras. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
I realize I was just in the process of editing the information before it got nominated for deletion. I think I should use the sandbox to structure the article. Thanks Otinflewer (talk) 18:50, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Hunny Mor
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Hunny Mor, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Speedy deletion nomination of Pokras lampas
[edit]Hello Otinflewer,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Pokras lampas for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

A tag has been placed on Hunny Mor requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. - Please follow WP:INDENT, If you dont understand something then ask questions at WP:TEAHOUSE.
- Read WP:SECTION to understand how it is arranged.
- Everything is highlighted and arranged in order, so that the table of contents WP:TOC makes sense. Changing the subsections to make the text bigger breaks the layout.--DBigXrayᗙ 15:13, 16 January 2020 (UTC)
Hence the "massive undiscussed changes to the page layout" which I thought were obvious. I appreciate your feedback. Will keep in mind. Otinflewer (talk) 15:14, 16 January 2020 (UTC)

January 2020
[edit]Hello Otinflewer. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Otinflewer. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Otinflewer|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. You have claimed above not to have any connection paid or otherwise to the subjects which you've written about however, after instructions by other editors to go through the AFC process, you've recreated inappropriate content in mainspace, so I'm leaving this as a final warning.
Much of what you've written is discrete PR for the subjects, including using what appear to be legitimate news sources but are really just rehashed PRs hidden in the by-line. You've also included information which as far as I can tell is not public, such as the birth date on Shariq Mustafa, so please explain. Praxidicae (talk) 18:00, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for your suggestion. I do not have any connection paid or otherwise with the subjects I have written so far. If I understand this correctly it is because of the nature of information I have been providing. I'd request you to please guide me how I can be more sure of the citations I provide. Also I am writing lot of these based on my ground reports that I collect from field artists. At no point I have an intention of reaching or committing to their agenda. I realized I was focussing on regional significance but subject should be of global notability for inclusion on Wikipedia. Working to put together the same. I believe your warning has set few things clear to me and I want to continue to contribute to wiki as an independent moderator. I am also planning to dedicate more time to article building before moving it to main space to avoid deletions. Also incase I work on anything I'm connected with, I'll consider your advise to mention that before I begin the article. Otinflewer (talk) 12:36, 28 January 2020 (UTC)
- that doesn’t answer my question, where did the birth date come from? Praxidicae (talk) 12:59, 28 January 2020 (UTC)
It is available on his facebook profile. I searched his details after watching his performance online and decided to do some articles on musicians from Farukhabad gharanaOtinflewer (talk) 13:33, 28 January 2020 (UTC)
It is popular among music lovers in India and represents a tradition that is centuries old. Otinflewer (talk) 13:40, 28 January 2020 (UTC)
I also read that biographies of living person is the most challenging to write. So I am taking this in my stride. Otinflewer (talk) 13:46, 28 January 2020 (UTC)

Veer Savarkar and Congress' "Quit India but leave your armies here"
[edit]Hi, Otinflewer, Thanks for your edit. But, I was wondering, why was the reference to the Congress working commitee in its wardha session in 1942, passed a resolution which said to British: "Quit India but keep your armies here". Which was reinstallation of British military rule over India which he felt would be much worse." in my edit was reverted in your edit? Even though the WP:RS was fulfilled. Anyways, if you find it relevant, you can incorporate the same even now. TIA. Santoshdts (talk) 17:40, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
Hi, Santoshdts (talk · contribs), Thanks for reaching me, I believe the sentence "Quit India but keep your armies here". Which was reinstallation of British military rule over India which he felt would be much worse." does not clearly project if he was supporting British control or not and therefore it seems emotive and possibly provocative. Maybe you can use a more objective statement to put light on his reasons and view on British interest in India at the time of partition. Moreover, his conflict with congress should be a foot note on his page since he was a visionary whose vision was his prime notability. Welcome to your suggestions. Thanks.Otinflewer (talk) 18:01, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply Otinflewer, your PoV on
does not clearly project if he was supporting British control or not and therefore it seems emotive and possibly provocative.
. In this regard, the last sentence of my edit was clearly defining his stand which said: Which was reinstallation of British military rule over India which he felt would be much worse. With regard to the reference to the Congress, Ofcourse, He was a visionary, revolutionary and also an astute Politician. And due to which he had his point of view towards various Congress ' decisions. I find no harm in incorporating his PoV in the article with WP:RS. It's all about Savarkar, his works and his Life isin't it? In view of this, I still strongly feel my earlier edit may be reverted and would like your views on this. Santoshdts (talk) 18:18, 16 March 2020 (UTC)- Santoshdts Like i said, his conflict with congress is not his notability. And "quit india but keep your armies here" was just a independence age spoof to challenge congress. his ideas had little support and following compared to the leadership view on whole from independent India. I think it is irrelevant to address it as a notable event or to emphasize on his view that it was better or worse, unless you want to push him in the limelight for right wing activism. lets assume good faith and try to keep the content true to an encyclopedia. what say? Otinflewer (talk) 23:10, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
- Otinflewer He had conflicts with Congress' many decisions among them was Quit India Movement which was one of major mass movement in pre-independance India, which is very much notable. And in no way a independence day spoof, as there are many WP:RS available to verify. It was against the decision to launch the Quit India Movement and at the same time asking the British to station the Allied forces' military in India during Japanese aggression in the region, which according to him was contradiction in itself, as on one side was asking leave India and on the other hand asking them to station their troops in the country. If you have any reliable source of information to dismiss the claim made by him on the issue, I would appreciate if you post that. As this page is about Savarkar's views and life, The statement iam proposing, does not in any way push his Right wing activism. It is an opposition to a particular decision which contradicts itself and is based on reliable source of information. And there are many other things he had said during this period. But as they would not add much value to the article, I have not included them. Exactly, as you said, let's assume good faith and keep the content close to Truth in the encyclopedia. Thanks. Santoshdts (talk) 04:48, 17 March 2020 (UTC)
- btw, it is strange, that in your edit you mention: "He became a fierce critic of the Indian National Congress and its acceptance of India's partition." but still have reservations on the reasons for his criticism. - Hi, Santoshdts (talk · contribs), Savarkar's Conflict with congress is not his notability. "Quit India Movement" was major mass movement but "quit India and keep your armies here" was a spoof. I am am not dismissing your claim but it is not notable and appears to be emotive towards highlighting his opposition to congress and his anti establishment alignment at that time. refer to WP:SYNTH for clarity on conclusive statements. Thanks Otinflewer (talk) 16:27, 17 March 2020 (UTC)
- Can we say that to a prime opponent of Congress of those time, that "Conflict with Congress is not his notability."? He might have different Priorities in his lifetime. But he did command a political space and authority in his time to oppose any political decison either by Congress, Jinnah or British Govt. Or any other political organisation of that time. The comment iam stressing is - He was critical of Congress, Thats known fact by virtue of various WP:RS references ( Even you Agree and stated the same in your edit ). My only contention of the current discussion with you is: Why was there such criticism of congress by Savarkar ? He might be right or wrong, that should be purely based on analysis of various facts recored and surely there should be Neutral analysis on those recorded events WP:NPOV. Its our responsibility to interpret events as close to truth as possible. I can cite more reliable references on this perticular point. Where as, I asked you to refute my claims regarding Congress deniying issuing such resloution in wardha in 1942 Or Savarkar not opposing the Wardha resolution? Iam still waiting for your response on that. But, you invoke WP:SYNTH instead. Could you please care to dismiss the statements Ive made based on some reliable sources on which you have reverted my edit? Hope I've convinced you on your contentions. Moreover Can you please provide some source to your current edit where you say:
and opposed to the Quit India struggle in 1942, calling it a "Quit India but keep your army" movement.
Iam unable to comprehend yor statement - wether its a quote by Savarkar or refering someone else ? Thanks for discussion and Awaiting consensus. Santoshdts (talk) 18:03, 17 March 2020 (UTC) - Hi, Iam waiting for your views on the issue we've discussed. As I've not heard back from you, should I go ahead and revert the edit or you would like add those details in some other section of the article? Santoshdts (talk) 10:06, 22 March 2020 (UTC)

- Santoshdts Like i said, his conflict with congress is not his notability. And "quit india but keep your armies here" was just a independence age spoof to challenge congress. his ideas had little support and following compared to the leadership view on whole from independent India. I think it is irrelevant to address it as a notable event or to emphasize on his view that it was better or worse, unless you want to push him in the limelight for right wing activism. lets assume good faith and try to keep the content true to an encyclopedia. what say? [edit]Hello, if you object to the London Gazette source for his second middle name, I think you ought to either locate a source you deem appropriate or remove the second middle name from the article for consistency, as without that source it currently lacks any support for inclusion in the article. Please also be aware, I did not add it, rather sought to provide a source for something included in the article by a previous editor- all such facts require citation, as you are probably aware, and lacking same ought not to be included in the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.144.77.173 (talk) 01:19, 4 April 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Speedy deletion nomination of Migratory species
[edit]Hello Otinflewer,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Hughesdarren, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Migratory species, for deletion, because there's already a page about that topic at Migration (ecology). Please don't be discouraged; we appreciate your effort in creating new articles. To avoid this in the future, consider using the search function to find pages that already cover what you want to write about.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.
For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Hughesdarren}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

@Hughesdarren: thanks for the assistance. I actually wanted to create a page with the list of migratory species as recognized by the climate control conferences. An article page where we can have different categories of migratory behaviour among species. I'm not sure if this can be built upon the existing migration page? Please advice. Otinflewer (talk) 07:54, 6 June 2021 (UTC)
- Possibly, why not create it in your sandbox so you can work on it at your leisure then upload it when it's done? Regards Hughesdarren (talk) 09:09, 6 June 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Sowgood foundation moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Sowgood foundation, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
