Wicked Apology
I appreciate your consideration. I will mull over your words and attempt to figure out what it actually means with respect to opportunities to participate at Wicked (musical). I am not very clear what the general consensus would be to such participation, which would come under the WP:CHICAGO banner because as you may note from my user page I spend most of my time attempting to promote articles to WP:GA, WP:FA and WP:FL. If Wicked is not under the {{ChicagoWikiProject}} banner it is a much lower priority for me because I mostly work on Chicago and University of Michigan articles.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 15:18, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
CFD
I believe that was a wrongful CFD inclusion and have taken action to remedy the situation.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 01:49, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
CFD
It seems you were the original Jan 6 CFD nominator and the Jan 9 nominator. At Jan 6 you nominated several musicals by fooians categories. Unless you are misunderstanding the category, Category:Chicago musicals is not such a category. If it is to be deleted, I would appreciate a proper CFD discussion on its merits as opposed to a false grouping. As miffed as I am at your group, I am fairly considering your FAC, I would hope for a return of service. Could you please drop a note at the Jan 9 CFD closing admins page that you believe the discussion of Category:Chicago musicals should be considered separately because it is not a musicals by fooians category. You may believe it is a useless category for other reasons, but could you please drop a note that you would grant consensus on a separate consideration.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 23:21, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Little Shop of Horrors (musical)
Hello Omtay38! I' ve recently nominated Little Shop of Horrors (musical) for the WikiProject Musical Theatre next collaboration of the month, and I noticed that you had previously shown support for a collaboration on this article. If you'd like to support it this time around, please feel free to stop by the collaboration page and add your name to the list. Thanks! —Mears man (talk) 21:24, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
Foreign Language References
Woops! Thanks for moving the template to my own talk page! I tend to do that a lot for some reason I always confuse the discussion page of my article with my own personal talk page! As for my question, thanks for researching it. I've been looking up policies to see what would help or wondering if I should remove parts of the information or not then until the rest can be sourced in english. Though I would still rather leave the source as is, at least concerning the information that is found in spanish press articles and the main website of the artist. But I don't know, that's really my own judgement call and I have hardly any experience writing on wiki to determine if that's a correct call at all. So I really appreciate your help.
What has me worried is that I always think the article is on a "instant deletion" list whenever I see any tag about checking it. I'm leaving on a trip tomorrow and will have no internet until tuesday to keep track of the article. Is this paranoia common among newbies? must be.
I'm checking out the biography and musician projects to see if I can place a template on the discussion page of the artist so that other contributors might help. Is that a correct way to go about it? Sorry if I'm asking a lot of questions at once. Thank you!

Thank you!
Thank you! I'm really interested in doing a series of articles about notable Dominican artists and musicians. Thank you so much for placing it on your watchlist since I was extremely worried! I was browsing around the musicians and biographies project list and left them also some notes and questions about this article to see how they may help since I'm sure that group would probably deal with a lot of foreign artists reference.
I'll have to check them when I'm back on tuesday though, so thank you very much again for watching the article.
And thank you for your compliments! I actually thought the article in comparison to other wikiprojects would end up looking drab so your words really encouraged me! :) For now I will keep the references and the only assurance I've gotten of a possible official english source is of a press log that might be created by the managers of the artist wherein all articles and press will be included (and I say "might" because even though in the policies it says you can cite the artist's own articles, I still wonder if it's still too ambiguous a source?). <-- Second-guessing every move must be common too :P.
I've gotten in contact with several press agents, managers, magazines and other sources to ensure that I have access to information about most of the artists I plan to write about, not personal investigations mind you, I'm just collecting the data (Hence why I'm so concerned about the source citing) but they are all in spanish and I don't think I can convince every single source to make official english translations so now I'm wondering if I should lay off the other articles entirely or try and post them anyway. The problem with doing it in the spanish wikipedia is that, well, I don't really know spanish, it would have to be another contributor and I'm kind of fond of the idea! But please feel free to let me know if I should really make an effort to get a spanish contributor and not post the other pages in the meantime.

You Found it!
Thank you!!! I'll leave it on the discussion page then in the meantime while I keep searching for more sources that I can later replace the other ones with! Should I make a notice on the talk page of the article itself explaining it?
Kcsilver (talk) 04:38, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
Ok haha thanks! yeah! simultaneous posting rocks :P, what about the blp tag? should I leave it at the discussion page of the article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kcsilver (talk • contribs) 04:46, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
Question about show tune stubs
hi - not sure who to ask about this, but since i see your name on the musical theater page, i'll ask you: i've noticed there's a show tune stub category, and yet no show tune article category. can one be started? J. Van Meter (talk) 17:57, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
- Oops, i didn't make myself clear. I mean a category for articles (that aren't stubs) about show tunes. There are categories for many of the more famous composers of course, but there's no place for the show songss by lesser knowns -- if they ever make it out of stub phase, that is. J. Van Meter (talk) 18:10, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Images on es.wikipedia
Thank you for your help. I was looking at the es article on shavings (the things you get from lathing wood or metal) I was planning to crop an existing image from commons to show a detail of metal turnings. That would meet common's requirements, wouldn't it? Thanks Sometimes somethings (talk) 05:18, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Music Theatre International
A tag has been placed on Music Theatre International requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hassan Bek Mosque Picture
Hi. What I would like to do is replace the first picture of the article and replace it with the first picture that is presented on the Hebrew version of that same article, seeing as it is better quality. How do I go about doing that?--Brad M. (talk) 19:09, 20 January 2008 (UTC) So if it met the criteria of being publicly owned, then I could upload that image into the english article and it would be allowed?--Brad M. saving edits
Hi,
I am editing the "Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps" page, and my edits are not always showing up. I'll change something in the edit page and then click "save changes" and the page will have all my edits like I want. But if I go on a different computer to view the page, or if I view the page the next day, all my edits are gone. BUT when I go to the edit page to fix those things again, my edits are STILL in the editing box, they are just not being displayed on the page. Why is this happening? Am I doing something wrong? Somebody else told me to clear my cache on the internet browser, and I have done that, it's not working. I notice that if I click on the "Article" tab on the page, my edits will show up on the page like normal, but they are not immediately there when visiting http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santa_Clara_Vanguard. Can you help me? Joshuapeterson (talk) 05:22, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:The Act Original Recording CD Cover.png
Thanks for uploading Image:The Act Original Recording CD Cover.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 06:24, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Re: Your message
Hi, thanks for your message. But I still have a question. As per Wikipedia:Reliable sources#Extremist sources, extrimist sources are not allowed as reference in article. But I don't think that Christian Solidarity Worldwide is an extrimist source. According to Wikipedia:Reliable source examples#Use of electronic or online sources, "Websites and publications of political parties, religious groups, anti-religious groups, or any other partisan group, may exhibit bias and should be treated with caution. Neither political affiliation nor religious belief stated in these sources are in themselves a reason not to use them, as these websites can be used to present the viewpoints of these groups, if properly attributed" and "Widely acknowledged extremist organizations or individuals, whether of a political, religious, racist, or other character, should be used only as primary sources". I want to use this for the article Religious violence in India. I don't understand that can Christian Solidarity Worldwide be labelled as partisan source or not? TWO pages submitted and can't find
Omtay:
Thanks for the follow up. The (2) pages I submitted were named....DODSC, Dynamic On Demand Supply Chains and .......DDPM, Demand-driven Predictive Manufacturing. You mentioned they might be speedy deleted....can you verify for me? If so, I'll read up on the policies again. We do feel we have very novel and beneficial concepts to share with all. Thanks again
maybe you remember me, i finally created an wikipedia account :) The links were helpful, i could archieve some things i wanted to. Well, the only remaining issue is the following: I tried to use some more complex templates into another one (an "if"-variable within a "switch" variable). I know that i have to use other templates that create pipes for example. But in this case this didn't work as i'd have to use another one again...sry that i'm that badin explaining...however, if i click on the preview, the first template does not seem to be accepted, i can still see the }}. — mode.ry talk 14:00, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Concerning User:Nku_pyrodragon
He has started to become increasingly arrogant to me on his talk page even if all I did was provide further evidence that he is a sockpuppet and a little, slightly offensive joke in return to his stinginess that I erased promptly out of kindness. Can we have more administrator intervention in this case about his identity, please? STYROFOAM☭1994TALK 04:25, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
Voice parts
Regarding [1], have we come to a consensus about voice parts? I agree that they should be cited, but it may be a little premature to say that it must be done per WPMT. It's a good idea though, and we should probably discuss it. — MusicMaker5376 19:30, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
