ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message
[edit]The article Immersia has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Apparently promotional article for a defunct company. Sources are to non-RSes. A WP:BEFORE shows only other companies of the same name, in unrelated fields - though perhaps there's local coverage that would demonstrate WP:CORPDEPTH. But as it stands, there's no evidence this company was ever notable.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. David Gerard (talk) 09:16, 25 November 2021 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Ronen Eldan
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Ronen Eldan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.nyas.org/press-releases/prestigious-blavatnik-awards-for-young-scientists-in-israel-announces-its-2022-laureates/, https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/video/a-two-sided-estimate-for-the-gaussian-noise-stability-deficit/, and https://www.jpost.com/science/article-695949. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Copyright problem: Ronen Eldan
[edit]Hello Omert33! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Ronen Eldan, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted material from other websites or printed works. This article appears to contain work copied from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/video/a-two-sided-estimate-for-the-gaussian-noise-stability-deficit/, https://www.nyas.org/press-releases/prestigious-blavatnik-awards-for-young-scientists-in-israel-announces-its-2022-laureates/, https://www.jpost.com/science/article-695949, and therefore to constitute a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policies. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted. While we appreciate your contributions, copying content from other websites is unlawful and against Wikipedia's copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators are likely to lose their editing privileges.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under license allowed by Wikipedia, then you should do one of the following:
- Have the author release the text under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 License (CC BY-SA 3.0) by leaving a message explaining the details at Talk:Ronen Eldan and send an email with confirmation of permission to "permissions-enwikimedia.org". Make sure they quote the exact page name, Ronen Eldan, in their email. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If you hold the copyright to the work: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 License and GNU Free Documentation License, and note that you have done so on Talk:Ronen Eldan. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted "under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (CC-BY-SA), version 3.0", or that the work is released into the public domain, or if you have strong reason to believe it is, leave a note at Talk:Ronen Eldan with a link to where we can find that note or your explanation of why you believe the content is free for reuse.
It may also be necessary for the text to be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
See Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries for a template of the permissions letter the copyright holder is expected to send.
Otherwise, you may rewrite this article from scratch. If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at this temporary page. Leave a note at Talk:Ronen Eldan saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved.
Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! DanCherek (talk) 02:57, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
- @DanCherek: - Hi, Dan. Thank you for the kind remarks. I believe I have sufficiently rephrased and reworded the article enough so as to justify the removal of the copyright template. For your consideration. --Omer Toledano (talk) 08:07, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
- Really? I still see pretty significant overlap with the sources in several parts of the article. You can't just rearrange parts of a sentence, for example – that kind of superficial modification is close paraphrasing. By the way, as the template notes, the rewrite should take place on this temporary page a temporary subpage, not the article itself. It will be evaluated by an administrator or a copyright clerk (I am neither), and they will move it into place at that point. DanCherek (talk) 13:28, 13 February 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Omert33! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Ronen Eldan that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Yossi Zabari moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Yossi Zabari, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Updating the Nefesh B'Nefesh article
[edit]Shalom Omert33. I am the declared COI editor for Nefesh B'Nefesh. In 2018 you created the article Bonei Zion Prize, a prize founded by Nefesh B'Nefesh. Thanks so much for taking the time to create that well crafted encyclopedic entry and keeping it updated. I recently posted some suggested updates on the NBN Talk page , and would appreciate your assistance in implementing these changes. The article as it currently reads is outdated and disjointed, it doesn't properly reflect the extensive work of NBN. Toda LA for NBN (talk) 06:30, 22 August 2023 (UTC)

Hi @Omert33: Howdy? I notice your still editing this article every so often. It pops on my watchlist. You do know its been reviewed by six seperate editors in good standing. You seem to still be working on it as though you plan to somehow get it to mainspace, when the whole subject has been rejected for being non-notable after a thorough examination of the references. scope_creepTalk 12:20, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
- Remember, @Scope creep: Hope is a good thing and no good thing ever dies. :-) --Omer Toledano (talk) 13:03, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
- True, but if you do move it to mainspace, it will be automatically deleted. There is no appetite for rejected draft articles in mainspace. scope_creepTalk 13:09, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
- I am aware. BTW... @Scope creep: You seem quite enthusiastic about me not moving it to the mainspace. Are you or am I just imagining things? :-) --Omer Toledano (talk) 13:49, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
- Yes and no. I wouldn't say so. I do review articles in WP:NPP and WP:AFC so its something I deal with on a semi-regular basis Many folk incorrectly go down that route when the article is rejected, thinking the process of review can somehow be bypassed and its never a happy event. For BLP's in particular, the requirements are getting stricter and stricter. When I saw you updating it, I thought that you'd be doing that and thought I try and save you the hassle. scope_creepTalk 14:47, 15 September 2023 (UTC)

--Omer Toledano (talk) 07:55, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- I've removed that section. That is entirely undue and fails WP:NPOV. If your coming in with directed agenda, its the wrong place for you dude. Omert33, If you add another section like again, I will start issuing warnings against you. Wikipedia is not the place for partisan political crap like this. It is completely non-encyclopeadic. scope_creepTalk 09:15, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- This article deals with criticism of Amnesty, and the paragraph is about Israel. There is a criticism expressed here about Amnesty's attitude towards Israel. When I edited, the response was that I don't have enough edits and seniority, but when another editor, with seniority and experience, adds it, with sources and reliable and objective writing, you delete it? For what reason? You don't have to agree with this review, but the page is "Amnesty Review" not "non-controversial stuff" Peace Love10 (talk) 11:40, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- I would suggest you make your comments in the talk page of the article. scope_creepTalk 12:21, 29 April 2024 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
Your reverts at Criticism of Amnesty International violated the topic wide one revert rule, please abide by the restrictions in this topic area. Thank you, nableezy - 09:39, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- If you do not self revert I will be reporting the edit warring. nableezy - 09:47, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Nableezy: I reverted it and left a warning notice. It might be going to the edit warring noticeboard. I'm not sure. scope_creepTalk 10:04, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Nableezy: He has reverted it, so I guess we are going to the edit warring noticeboard afterall. scope_creepTalk 10:29, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
April 2024
[edit]Hello, I'm Scope creep. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Criticism of Amnesty International seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. scope_creepTalk 09:59, 29 April 2024 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Eden-Golan-Hurricane-Sample.ogg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Eden-Golan-Hurricane-Sample.ogg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:08, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
Hi, @Omert33.
Thank you for contribute to this article. However, I have to clarify something for you about the song samples, because it doesn't seem like you are completely clear. Although the purpose of the samples, as one assumes, is to give the reader an idea about the song, in reality there must be a relevant emphasis on the part of the song that you want to sample. The best thing I can suggest is that you put a Db-g7 template on the page because I don't see that it meets the mentioned requirements. In case of any resistance, I will have to call on Carlobunnie or Sergecross73 to consult and clarify this issue. Look at the ongoing GA review please. Santi (talk) 20:26, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
- I don't understand the problem. As far as I understand, samples can be 27 seconds in length (no more than 30 seconds), as stated in WP:NOTFREE in the section about audio samples, which it is. What else is there? -- Omer Toledano (talk) 01:56, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, @Omert33. The problem isn't the duration, the problem is its usefulness. I'm telling you that it meets the requirements to be on Wikipedia, but it's useless. The sample was uploaded under the correct procedure, but it does not contribute anything to the article, at least show me the opposite in the prose of the article. Santi (talk) 22:37, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- Then leave it up. Why does its supposed "uselessness" pose any problem? There are many songs on Wikipedia that have audio samples. How is this any different? --- Omer Toledano (talk) 03:33, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Omert33: I am aware of it. However, if you look at the Carlobunnie's talk page, I also ran into this problem, this time me being the author of the sample. Santi (talk) 14:59, 12 June 2024 (UTC)
- While this may work, I have not seen any modern GA that contains a sample without emphasis or comment on it, considering that this article is undergoing a GA review. Santi (talk) 20:33, 12 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Omert33: Don't worry. I already found a possible use for the sample, according to what I reviewed in the "Critical response" section. But yes, before uploading a sample, please verify if it is really necessary or not, so as not to get into this type of trouble with GA reviewers again. Santi (talk) 05:06, 13 June 2024 (UTC)

Good article nominee
[edit]Hello, I recently nominated the article Le langaige du Bresil as a good article under the Language and literature subtopic, though I believe it could also fit under World history. Since you have not "contributed significantly" to the article, you might be able to review it according to the criteria. I would like to know if, having the necessary skills for this, you would be willing to do so. Thank you, RodRabelo7 (talk) 12:37, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
