Could you reopen it? I think it could be listed for a while longer. The problem is that the only person participating, safe me is the article's creator. We haven't even gotten a single third opinion there. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:27, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
- Piotrus: Rather than reopening it, which would create a third relisting against advice at WP:RELIST ("in general, debates should not be relisted more than twice"), it would be more congruent with guidelines to simply renominate it. Note that the discussion was closed with no prejudice against speedy renomination. North America1000 05:31, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
A user who seems to be tagging every single film from India as a BLP unsourced
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/AR.00148 Has been doing it-not sure what type of message to send though-but none of these are blps or are unsourced. They might not have a good basis in the English language is my guess though. Wgolf (talk) 20:15, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
- Wgolf: I have warned the user to discontinue incorrectly tagging non-blp articles as such (link). North America1000 20:23, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

Regarding an edit made on Talk:Muara Bungo
Hey there, I noticed that you made a change to my comment on the Muara Bungo talk page. I used the <pre> tag to indicate that I was quoting from an article elsewhere. Was my use of said tag appropriate or is there a better way to indicate a quote among the rest of my comments? Thanks, Interference 541 (talk) 02:27, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Interference 541: I restored the <pre> markup there. It's unclear that this is a quote, which is why I (initially) removed it. I recommend adding a note above the information stating that it's quoted, along with where it's quoted from. North America1000 02:32, 26 April 2015 (UTC)

Okay well I asked one of the Indian users what they thought and they did say that it might be best to do afd which is why I did that. Automated Bare url fill?
That's a new one on me! Does it work well?--Mark Miller (talk) 22:23, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

- Mark Miller: Cool. I have used its predecessor, Reflinks, for a great deal of time. Reflinks went down, and reFill is the new one. Don't forget to remove {{Cleanup-bare URLs}} templates from articles when all bare urls are removed! Cheers, North America1000 05:45, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

MfD nomination of User:25 Cents FC/25Cents
Hi, I am not able to understand Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:25 Cents FC/25Cents this . Did you nominate my user page for deletion ? I am confused. Please help. Thanks.--25 CENTS VICTORIOUS ☣ 17:18, 29 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hello 25 Cents FC: It's nothing personal. The reason why is per WP:STALEDRAFT, "Userspace is not a free web host and should not be used to indefinitely host pages that look like articles". The page has not been edited for over 2.5 years (since August 2012) and is in an article format. Are you planning on adding the content to main (article) namespace? As per STALEDRAFT, "When a userspace page reaches a point where it can be included as an article consider moving it into mainspace or using its content appropriately in other relevant articles". Feel free to comment at the discussion page, at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:25 Cents FC/25Cents, if you want the page retained. Hope this helps to clarify matters. North America1000 01:52, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
- Got it. Thanks for clarifying.--25 CENTS VICTORIOUS ☣ 06:40, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
AfD Closure
Hello Northamerica,
You closed this AfD as no consensus, even when nobody participated in the discussion asides its nominated who inclined to consider its deletion. The discussion was only re-listed twice by you and Spirit of Eagle. I think the discussion should be re-listed to generate a clearer consensus rather than its closure as "no consensus" but if you feel there is a good reason why it was closed as "no consensus", I have no objection, only that I would like to have an idea of why it was closed as "no consensus". Thanks! Wikic¤l¤gyt@lk to M£ 23:57, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Wikicology: Per WP:RELIST, relisting more than two times is discouraged. However, note that I closed the discussion with no prejudice against speedy renomination, so feel free to speedy renominate it if you'd like. North America1000 02:04, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Chupa Chups Melody Pop.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Chupa Chups Melody Pop.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 08:35, 29 April 2015 (UTC)
- Eeekster: I have disputed this nomination on the file page. Can you present any evidence that a free image might reasonably be found or created that adequately provides the same information? I looked around quite a bit before uploading the file, but no free image equivalents were to be found. North America1000 08:47, 29 April 2015 (UTC)
- WP:NFCC#1 only permits fair use images if we don't have a reasonable expectation that someone, at some future point in time, could create a suitable free content image that would have the same effect. The most classic case is images of living people or existing buildings. Even if nobody has ever photographed the person or the building, they could do so at some point in the future. If we settle for a fair use image of one of these, then nobody is ever going to provide us with a free one. If you call Mr. Notable Person's office and ask them for a Creative Commons-licensed photo of Mr. Person and they look and see that we're already using a promotional photo of him under a claim of fair use, they have no reason whatsoever to grant our request for a free content one. Now, all of that said, in this particular case, any hypothetical replacement would be a derivative work of the copyrighted candy label and so it does not meet the criterion for speedy deletion. I have instead nominated it for consideration at WP:FFD. --B (talk) 00:43, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
Support request with team editing experiment project
Dear tech ambassadors, instead of spamming the Village Pump of each Wikipedia about my tiny project proposal for researching team editing (see here: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:IdeaLab/Research_team_editing), I have decided to leave to your own discretion if the matter is relevant enough to inform a wider audience already. I would appreciate if you could appraise if the Wikipedia community you are more familiar with could have interest in testing group editing "on their own grounds" and with their own guidance. In a nutshell: it consists in editing pages as a group instead of as an individual. This social experiment might involve redefining some aspects of the workflow we are all used to, with the hope of creating a more friendly and collaborative environment since editing under a group umbrella creates less social exposure than traditional "individual editing". I send you this message also as a proof that the Inspire Campaign is already gearing up. As said I would appreciate of *you* just a comment on the talk page/endorsement of my project noting your general perception about the idea. Nothing else. Your contribution helps to shape the future! (which I hope it will be very bright, with colors, and Wikipedia everywhere) Regards from User:Micru on meta.

If it is not too much trouble would you mind nominating another article for DYK? I am pretty sure it meets all the criteria. Here is the hook: "...did you know that there are 39 different types of microbes that inhabit the lower reproductive tract of women?" Thank you so much.
- Bfpage: I may not get to this because I am working on other matters, including my own DYK work. Also, if I create the DYK nomination, then I'm obligated to perform a QPQ review, which creates more work for me. Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ray Hefferlin
Hi! Would you kindly undo your close at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ray Hefferlin? As you can see from the history, I have just posted there after doing some research, and pinged David Eppstein for his response. Your close was poorly timed to say the least. Thanks, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 01:08, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hello Justlettersandnumbers: Done. The discussion has been reopened and relisted. The discussion had already surpassed the standard three week/two relisting time, and has not received much input. Perhaps it was closed at an inopportune time relative to your agenda. After all, the user you pinged to the discussion had already posted a weak keep !vote. As such, and per the overall state of the discussion, my no consensus (WP:NPASR) close was entirely in order, and certainly not "poorly timed to say the least". Regardless, third relistings are allowed, and we'll see how the discussion transpires from this time onward. North America1000 01:35, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you, Northamerica1000, I appreciate it. By "poorly timed" I merely meant that I posted a request for input from another user whose opinion I greatly respect at 01:37, and you closed the discussion at 02:21. That didn't leave much of a window of opportunity for him to respond. I hope that he will soon do so. I agree that your close was a correct judgement call, my only gripe was with the timing of it. My agenda, by the way, is for the community to reach a decision on whether the article should be kept. Thanks again, regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 01:48, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
- It's all good. Also, I left a talkback template to the discussion on the user's talk page requesting their response. Cheers, North America1000 01:55, 1 May 2015 (UTC)

- Hello Valoem: I'm going to pass on doing so.
