Speedy deletion nomination of Jan Olszanski

[edit]

Hello Noel baran,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Jan Olszanski for deletion, because it appears to duplicate an existing Wikipedia article, Jan Cienski.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Deaths in 2018 new date

[edit]

Hi, please note that the LINT time zone doesn't do DST, and thus did not change its clocks last weekend, when a lot of other time zones did. It is still 10:00 UTC that is the magic time, so this means one hour later than before in your local time, if you moved forward last weekend like I did (I'm in the CET time zone, UTC+1 in winter, UTC+2 in summer). Therefore, the adding you did of the 29th was 33 minutes too early. Cheers. --Marbe166 (talk) 12:37, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, from the Portals WikiProject...

[edit]

You are invited to join the effort to revitalize and improve the Portal system...

The Portals WikiProject was rebooted on April 17th, and is going strong. Fifty-nine editors have joined so far, with more joining daily.

We're having a blast, and excitement is high...

Our goal is to update, upgrade, and maintain portals.

In addition to working directly on portals, we are developing tools to make portals more dynamic (self-updating), and to make building and maintaining portals easier. We've finished two tools so far, with more to come. They are Template:Transclude lead excerpt and Template:Transclude random excerpt.

Discussions are underway about how to further upgrade portals, and what the portals of the future will be.

There are plenty of tasks (including WikiGnome tasks too).

With more to come.

We may even surprise ourselves and exceed all expectations. Who knows what we will be able to accomplish in what may become the biggest Wikicollaboration in years.

See ya at the WikiProject!

Sincerely,    — The Transhumanist   19:51, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The article Raúl Riancho has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~ Чръный человек (talk) 09:40, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Я видимо погорячился с комментарием к правке. Если Вы считаете, что он действительно оскорбителен, то попросите одного из администраторов скрыть его. ~ Чръный человек (talk) 11:19, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much

[edit]

The RfC discussion to eliminate portals was closed May 12, with the statement "There exists a strong consensus against deleting or even deprecating portals at this time." This was made possible because you and others came to the rescue. Thank you for speaking up.

By the way, the current issue of the Signpost features an article with interviews about the RfC and the Portals WikiProject.

I'd also like to let you know that the Portals WikiProject is working hard to make sure your support of portals was not in vain. Toward that end, we have been working diligently to innovate portals, while building, updating, upgrading, and maintaining them. The project has grown to 80 members so far, and has become a beehive of activity.

Our two main goals at this time are to automate portals (in terms of refreshing, rotating, and selecting content), and to develop a one-page model in order to make obsolete and eliminate most of the 150,000 subpages from the portal namespace by migrating their functions to the portal base pages, using technologies such as selective transclusion. Please feel free to join in on any of the many threads of development at the WikiProject's talk page, or just stop by to see how we are doing. If you have any questions about portals or portal development, that is the best place to ask them.

If you would like to keep abreast of developments on portals, keep in mind that the project's members receive updates on their talk pages. The updates are also posted here, for your convenience.

Again, we can't thank you enough for your support of portals, and we hope to make you proud of your decision. Sincerely,    — The Transhumanist   18:21, 26 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

P.S.: if you reply to this message, please {{ping}} me. Thank you. -TT

It's not speculative or unconfirmed information, because the Holle See offcial website published it. Also, is obviously, that until intronisation nobody hes executive power, but these men has straight connections to these entities, and are bishops nominants. Also strange, that you added again directly untruth information, that bishop Paul Chomnycky is "bishop emeritus". But sometimes for persons is most important to say last word--Noel baran (talk) 15:30, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Ihor Dybchenko and Shinji Yamada

[edit]

Hi there. I actually agree that Shinji Yamada hasn't got enough inline references. When I created the article, I presumed notability per WP:NFOOTY (a football-specific notability guideline which has since been abolished) but articles about him were hard to come by. I will have another look and see if I can find more.

Ihor Dybchenko has been in the public eye for much longer and there should be plenty of useful sources around, at least in Ukrainian. Much of the article's body currently lacks inline references.

I don't know why you bring "respect" into this disagreement, for me it's about upholding Wikipedia policy. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 08:30, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in two edit wars, as evidenced by the reverts/edits you have made on Andriy Kitela and Illya Hulko. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Anwegmann (talk) 20:54, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
