[edit]Hello, I'm Kosack. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Tonći Kukoč, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. [edit]Hi Valentinenba97. The edit you did was wrong, because you put Muriel's club as Villareal and put Spain's flag on Milan. Someone else corrected this information and Muriel's and Bacca's clubs were corrected as Villarreal and Sevilla respectively. Anyways, thanks for helping with your editions. [edit]Thanks for your contributions to Serie A foreign players. However, I would like to ask you to please use "–" instead of "-" , it is convention. [edit]HI, thanks for the multiple modifications & edits you are doing. I also saw that you deliberately remove some sections regarding "Guadeloupe", "Monaco" & other. Do NOT arbitrarly remove info or sections without reaonoable motivations. This is a list based on nationality and NOT on FIFA membership, reason why those sections were created. thank you

Hi there
[edit]Colin Firth doesn't suddenly stop being British (or more precisely English) because he's a dual citizen following the Brexit vote. The sources themselves say British actor. His notability is English, has been honoured by the Queen (which only a Brit can acquire), has received multiple awards as Best British actor. His notability has long been established. Citizenship is not the same as nationality. Ronaldinho has Spanish citizenship for example. He's a Brazilian with dual citizenship. SkiFrz (talk) 08:34, 30 September 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Valentinenba97. Updating caps and stats
[edit]Hey. :-)
When you update the stats in football players' infoboxes please remember that you should also update the timestamps as of when the stats are correct. This is done by updating |pcupdate= (or |club-update=) parameter when updating club appearances and goals, or |ntupdate= (or |nationalteam-update=) when updating national team appearances and goals. The easiest way to do this is to use five tildes, which automatically converts to the current time. For example |club-update=22:35, 30 October 2017 (UTC).
When you update the career statistics please remember that you should also update that timestamp as well to a time when the stats are correct. This is done by manually updating the date above or below the statistics table. By doing this we show when the stats were last updated and it prevents other editors from accidentally updating the stats again.
This is done to show other editors when the stats were last updated and prevent them from accidentally updating the stats again, and also it shows readers that it has been updated.
Please keep this in mind. Thank you. Robby.is.on (talk) 22:35, 30 October 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Kobe Bryant, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Specifically per MOS:OVERLINK, a major country link China does not need to be linked when just casually referring to an event held there. —Bagumba (talk) 00:47, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
List of Belgian footballers in the Netherlands moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, List of Belgian footballers in the Netherlands, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Your draft article, Draft:List of Belgian footballers in the Netherlands
[edit]Hello, Valentinenba97. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "List of Belgian footballers in the Netherlands".

Cite press release
[edit]Hello. Just to suggest that you don't keep changing {{cite web}} to {{cite press release}} unless the webpage really is a press release. Most pages on football club websites are just plain webpages, not press releases. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 10:21, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Struway2: How would you tell the two apart? Robby.is.on (talk) 20:45, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Robby.is.on: Sorry for the delay in replying, I didn't see the notification until this morning. See the press release article. A press release is a statement issued to the media; it tends to be headed "press release", and its content is distributed by the media. These days, I don't suppose it has to be as formalised as when paper copies were delivered to newspaper offices, but if the content is published on the club's website without going via the media, it isn't a press release.
- Where the stock market or other authorities require formal statements of business conducted which are also duplicated on the club's website, those might be considered "press releases". Or at a stretch, a "club statement" about some specific issue, but in English that probably wouldn't. But to cite basic web content, like this match report, which was changed with this edit, as a "press release" is just wrong. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 08:15, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Struway2: Thanks. No need to apologise for the delay, we're all volunteers here. :-)
- The problem I was trying to get at was how we can establish whether a statement published on a club's website has been "issued to the media". If a club's website indicates this by adding "press release" to an article's heading, that doesn't leave much room for confusion. But otherwise it can be harder, I suppose? I guess transfer announcements would usually pass as press releases? Robby.is.on (talk) 08:32, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
- By the way, it would be nice to hear something from you about his, Valentinenba97. Robby.is.on (talk) 08:33, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
- I think that press release should be used for transfer announces, or sacked/appointed coaches.--Valentinenba97 (talk) 10:42, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
- Thing is, if a webpage doesn't self-identify as a press release, guessing whether it is one or not, and using a citation template that displays "(press release)" in the reference list, is original research. So is an individual editor deciding what sort of content "ought to" count as a press release. It's not really a distinction that's made in a football context on the English Wikipedia. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 09:26, 4 September 2020 (UTC)

It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment.
