Nizam Uddin Jalil John moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Nizam Uddin Jalil John, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ~~Cheers~~Mgbo120 18:59, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
The article Gopal Krishna Agarwal has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Kleuske (talk) 10:50, 28 May 2019 (UTC)
Some comments on your recent article split
[edit]Dear Nikos, I saw that you splitted out huge parts of the School strike for climate article into a new List of school climate strikes. While I think it was okay to carry out the split at this time, major changes like this are not normally covered by just being bold but need prior discussions and community consensus, as they can have far-reaching consequences, which cause major work for other users to clean up (or can even cause damage to the project if problems are not discovered and corrected immediately). Well, in this case, the necessary changes to do were relative straight-forward, so the risk was mountable. Still, not everything went smooth, and that's why I would like to write a few comments hopefully helping you the next time you are in a similar situation:
- For legal reasons (copyright) it is very important that the list of people who have contributed to this list of events remains intact and attached to the contents. You cannot just copy or move contents around without indicating the origin of the contents and attributing it to the contributors and owners of the copyright. I have therefore added the proper templates to the talk pages of both the old and the new article, so that they are kept connected permanently. This is not optional, because otherwise someone in the future, who is not aware of your split out action, might want to rearrange the source article which might cause the edit history to be moved or deleted, so that the splitted out contents would remain without its edit history. The templates help to remind such an editor, that the old article must never be deleted in such a way in order to preserve the edit history of your split article.
- Your split action left various references dangling in both the new and old articles. Sorting this out can be time-consuming, but it is necessary to do and it is typically done by the splitter. Since you left both articles in a broken state, I now fixed it for you.
- I saw that you added the new list article to the list of articles you created. Well, while you technically created the new entry, most of the contents was contributed by others. I therefore find it a bit "bold" to claim that you created the article. The former contributors might be offended by this. After all, it's a collaborative work.
In closing and to encourage you, I would like to state that after generations of young people being apparently not interested in politics, social issues and the preservation of the environment at all but only in consumption, convenience and in themselves, it is great to see that finally an international youth is growing up which is actually demanding changes in our society and behaviour, and also take action (not only doing lip service), continuing where people from my old generation started some decades earlier. Hopefully you will be successful, also because you must be successful. :-) --Matthiaspaul (talk) 12:51, 15 June 2019 (UTC)
@Matthiaspaul: I read it and thank you for your advices. Checking the page history about the student movement (personally I support it, I state it in my Greek userpage) and I found the split proposal, I decided to split the page; already the two thirds of the page were just a list. I clicked the topic for splitting to copy it, however I didn't note about the accidental deletion of other references. In Greek we don't use to split a page of 190,000 bytes (a such split takes place extremely rarely). Additionally, I hadn't checked the guidelines that you gave. Thank you for every correction on both pages, it was the first time that I split a large page like this. Regarding the claim on the article's creation, I added an explanation of the source (and the fact that numerous users contributed on it) and the talkpages for documentation, thus naming the creation as "partial" (only the technical part, the text was contributed from various users). Anyway thank you for all corrections. Nikosgranturismogt (talk) 15:30, 15 June 2019 (UTC)

Hi there, when you create articles for unreleased films, please be sure to establish that principal photography has begun. So far I don't see any mention of that at Lootcase (2019 film), which puts the article in danger of being redirected or deleted. The relevant content guideline can be found at WP:NFF. Also, we typically don't need to say "the film stars X, Y, and Z in lead roles", since "stars" usually is interpreted to mean lead roles. That phrasing is redundant. Simply saying "the film stars X, Y and Z" is fine. Thanks and regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:41, 25 July 2019 (UTC)
- Oh, I also note that Emir of Wikipedia brought WP:NFF to your attention a couple of weeks ago. Speedy deletion nomination of Gopal Krishna Agarwal
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Gopal Krishna Agarwal requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. DGG ( talk ) 03:04, 12 September 2019 (UTC)

The article Dushyant Kumar Gautam has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. - FitIndia Talk Commons 17:07, 21 February 2020 (UTC)

[edit]You're a regular so I won't template you. In this edit you added information without a source and tagged it as needing a citation. @Sundayclose: It was a mistake from my side. I added again the information, sourced this time (as well a bit more information, sourced as well). I wasn't informed about that page in English Wikipedia; thank you for the reference. I am informed about the importance of sources in Wikipedia, however I omitted to source it this time (as I edited from a mobile device, on the sentence regarding her performance). The other part of the addition was based in the information from the article about Franska skolan. Anyway, sourcing is a matter that I will give more attention. Synthesis of separate sources
[edit]Hello, NikosLikomitros. I have manually reverted some of your edits on Greta Thunberg and Franska Skolan (diff 1, diff 2). The sources you added did not confirm Thunberg's attendance at Franska Skolan. Rather, you have added two separate sources that verify separate things: 1. Greta Thunberg had a teacher, 2. Aforementioned teacher worked at Franska Skolan. From this information, you have extrapolated that Greta Thunberg attended Franska Skolan, which neither source explicitly states. This is WP:SYNTH, a form of original research. These edits were over a year ago, and I'm not familiar with your more recent edits, but I still wanted to urge you to edit with more care in the future.
