I am Nikos Likomitros, an established contributor of Greek Wikipedia. In English I am engaged with all topics, as I do in Greek Wikipedia, and similarly in Simple English. I participate in WikiProject India. I am also an amateur photographer and I often shot photos for Wikipedia, mainly for Greek and English Wikipedias, always in public domain, because images are knowledge too and they mustn't be copyrighted (personal opinion). Also, since 15 March 2023 I am sysop in Greek Wikipedia (verify).

I contribute in any topic that attracts my interest, mostly in Greek wiki, but also in English. I am interested mostly with history, geography and politics, however current events, climate change/environment, and other topics, also constitute my themes of interest. One basic reason that I contribute is because I think knowledge should be available to all and to participate in a long-term investment for the present and the future generations. I am also interested in education, and I have also authored an article about the reform of the examination system in Greece. I also like to contribute positively where I am engaged in; e.g. in Wikipedia, in the education system as a student, etc.

As you can see from the userboxes, I affiliate myself politically with the left; I also support a form of democratic communism and a quick transition to a green world, although to be done in a way that will make a more equal world. I oppose neoliberalism and historical revisionism.

Other interests: am also interested in geography, since childhood, and in languages as well; I write periodically on this topic in Wikipedia, and even experiment with a purified form of English, meaning English without very much Latin. I also edit articles about Wikipedias, mostly updating and adding statistical information.

As an amateur photographer, I have taken photographs of many notable people, such as Manousos Manousakis, TV director and producer, Hristos Homenidis, Greek author, and Dimitris Koutsoumpas, general secretary of the central committee of the Communist party of Greece, and photos of current events. Also you can find me in Telegram, and I am planning my first outreach activity for Greek somewhere (hopefully) towards late 2023.

  • Germany Luisa Neubauer (removed redirect. I just added the content, who makes the redirect a true "article". So the creation of the article is attributed to the creator of the former redirect. See here.
