Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Mattawinie requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sainte-Anne River (Les Chenaux), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Portneuf. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:10, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

MOS

[edit]

I see that User:LilianaUwU has suggested you familiarize yourself with the Manuel of Style. I would agree that this would be beneficial, particularly MOS:IMAGES. Please note that Wikipedia is not a photo gallery. Also, please do not add more images to an article than there is space for. Moreover, please do not oversize images. Thanks for your cooperation. Merci de vos contributions!

[edit]

Bonjour Diannaa
Côte-Nord

"... From Kegashka to Blanc-Sablon, the inhabitants are individualistic, dwell on Crown Lands — often as squatters — and keep jealously to their self-appropriated fishing spots, whence their dispersion." (Bussières, P., p.1, 1963)[1]

Thank you for your advice, the recognition of copyright is important to me, I really like sharing my work in Wikipedia, does the text above meet Wikipedia's requirements, important for me. Have a good summer !

Short quotations are okay, but only when absolutely necessary. Please write your own content. — Diannaa (talk) 10:34, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Are you talking about the citations in the references, I was under the impression that it should be short and verbatim, am I wrong Nichole Ouellette (talk) 11:01, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Why do you want to add this quotation? — Diannaa (talk) 15:05, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
this quote expresses with great acuity what I observed on site, these seafarers forged by a harsh northern climate have a dignity and a unique culture that the quote sums up well, these people have salt water in their veins and roots deep in their wild land, it's a personnal hommage if I may Nichole Ouellette (talk) 15:16, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You seem to have a good command of the English language; you should write the material in your own words wherever possible. — Diannaa (talk) 19:51, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
you can count on me to use my own words, I use quotes with great reserve, but it sometimes happens that I have an irresistible crush, what do you want it's a matter of love for this country excess - thank you for the exchange it makes my day - smile Nichole Ouellette (talk) 20:00, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
