Hello, I saw that you have deleted my entry for Vastari. You are correct - I am one of the founders of the company. Please do give me advice on how to publish the page without being too 'commercial' - I just want to get a short description on Wikipedia that describes the services offered by the website.
You can find a description of the website on www.vastari.com/aboutus.aspx. Do you think we can perhaps find a middle ground to publish an article on the company?

- Wikipedia is not a directory of all companies. An article on the company would have to cite reliable independent sources (see WP:V) to show that it meets the notability standards of WP:CORP or WP:WEB. Also, you really shouldn't be writing about your own company, see WP:COI. NawlinWiki (talk) 16:16, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi, any chance for blocking user:Radiodesibeat since the user is creating advertisement articles like this (which you deleted). I have also reported the user in WP:UAA but looks like there is some backlog there. Anyway, Happy New Year 2013. Torreslfchero (talk) 19:51, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

WP:CORP for tertiary institutions - a not so good AfD?
Hi NawlinWiki.
A little while ago you set me straight about WP:CORP for tertiary institutions here. I think I may have gone a little too far in that direction with the Forward Degree College AfD nomination. Could you possibly have a look? I would be most grateful for your opinion.
Thanks!--Shirt58 (talk) 02:56, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
Antonio Gramsci
The page Antonio Gramsci actually states that he was an Arbereshe, that's false. He was italian under every point of view - his father was of arbereshe descent but his mother wasn't and he never wrote a single word in arbreshe nor in his writings nor in his private letters, I really doubt that he could speaks that noble tongue. I can't edit because the page is protected. Herdakat (talk) 09:46, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

Target of a page has been changed
I was looking to update an old stub of a person only to find out an entirely different person now is under that tag. There are existing links from older articles which are now pointing to the other person, which creates confusion. Does one therefore create a new stub and fix all the links, or move the new person who is using the old tag to a new tag which uses their full name?? Rationesdecidendi (talk) 14:03, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
- If both the old and new person are notable, we would probably want to move each to a more specific title (i.e., "John Smith (actor)" and "John Smith" (athlete)). Which article are you talking about? NawlinWiki (talk) 15:27, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
I am not sure if either are notable, but it is more of an issue of protocols. The creation of the second entry should not have simply replaced the first when there are link dependencies. The old page was just a stub and could have been expanded: web.archive.org/web/20081014200246/http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Mullen 213.54.39.14 (talk) 03:47, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
Pollenware
Hey there I'm trying to work with the other user on the Pollenware page. I'm only touching the talk page b/c I work there. We're having trouble with the Company Info box. The page certainly meets criteria of being important. It was recently funded by the same company that backed Twitter and Foursquare. What can I do to assist this process and get the page undeleted?CaseyChesh (talk) 17:26, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
- You would have to find reliable independent sources (see WP:V) that discuss this company and that explain why it's notable per WP:CORP. I am doubtful that just being a startup that got funding is sufficient. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 17:51, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
I understand the need to ensure it's notable and it's nothing personal. I should have been more descriptive with my answer:
- Just passed $30 Billion in Early Cash Flow Delivery (ECFD), internal source / our own website.
- Featured twice on Bloomberg TV (http://www.bloomberg.com/video/creating-short-term-investment-income-_bnrYd0nRRqP5npQN0uslQ.html) and (http://www.bloomberg.com/article/2012-08-21/ax0us5JH07sk.html)
- Funding and support from Union Square Ventures who have done the same for a select group of extremely notable companies: Twitter, FourSquare, Zynga to name a few. (source http://www.usv.com/2012/09/pollenware.php)
- Recently covered in another news source (SPN http://www.siliconprairienews.com/2012/09/pollenware-ceo-kemper-talks-9-1m-round-company-s-model-video)
Working with billions of dollars, its got third party sources, and I won't be authoring the content. I respectfully submit that it's quite notable and worthy of inclusion. --CaseyChesh (talk) 19:00, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
- Bloomberg, at least, is a reliable source. Whoever would be recreating the article needs to include that source as well as the SPN source. Anytime an article is created that combines "startup corporation" with a lack of cited sources, it's likely to get deleted. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 19:37, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Daniel Howell
Hi NawlinWiki,
I've just tried to move User:Jessicalongword/sandbox to Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Daniel Howell and noticed you salted it back in September 2012. I don't see anything vandalistic about this latest submission. Would you mind looking at the deleted versions and comparing them with the new draft? I'd be interested to know if this relates to the same individual. I'd also be grateful if you would consider unprotecting the title, so that the draft can be moved to AFC space for review (the reviewer tools don't work in userspace). Many thanks. Pol430 talk to me 21:45, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
- Looks good. In September, we had a big problem with vandalism from Howell's fans, who kept putting his name in numerous unrelated articles. I've unprotected Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Daniel Howell as well as Daniel Howell. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 22:50, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks, hopefully similar dramah won't rear its ugly head again. Pol430 talk to me 23:35, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
A quick favour
Hey NawlinWiki, would you mind checking this deleted RfA to tell me its final tally (if it even began) and the name of the person who closed it? I'm trying to sort out pre-2008 unsuccessful RfAs for future reference. Kurtis (talk) 19:25, 16 January 2013 (UTC)

- How about this one? Kurtis (talk) 19:41, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- This 2006 self-nomination had zero support !votes, two opposed, and was not formatted properly so apparently never was on the RFA page. It was deleted a couple of years later by User:MBisanz under category g6, housekeeping. NawlinWiki (talk) 19:45, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks again. =) Kurtis (talk) 19:46, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- One more request — Would you mind deleting Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/AndyL so I can move another page to it? Kurtis (talk) 19:57, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- Actually, maybe not. But thanks for your help up to this point anyways. =) Kurtis (talk) 20:04, 16 January 2013 (UTC)

Inquiry as to Speedy Deletion of Punch (Band)
I am not exactly sure as to your reason the article Punch (Band) was speedily deleted. I remarked in the beginning of the article a few reasons as to why the band is notable, however the article was still in an infant stage. If you look at the time stamp of the last edit made (with respect to my time-zone), the last edit was around 5-6 AM; I intended to come back later with another iteration including a focus of biographic an cultural information.
In regards to the Wikipedia:No one cares about your garage band guideline, I will make a few words. Punch is not my band, nor have I met them, nor will I likely ever. I do understand you have not heard of them, and perhaps may never again!
Facebook popularity is a convoluted metric, but is still a signal. On Facebook Punch has been liked 14,944 times. For comparison, Loma Prieta (band) has been liked 13,982 times, and Magrudergrind 22,060 times.
Due to the underground nature of the genre, they are most often written about in zines and offline print literature, so it is a more difficult task to present a set of links to qualify notability. Here are a few, though:
- Alternative Press Magazine - Listed them as one of their 100 bands to watch in 2012 Link
- The First Post - Interview with Band Member
- International Recognition: Interview Band Member in Moscow Zine
In addition to this the band is notable for being a female-fronted hardcore punk band, which is atypical, and to my knowledge there is (or at least was at one point), a project dedicated to articles on that.
Thank you for your time, and please let me know your thoughts. This has been the first article on a musical group I have created in a couple years. Meltingwax (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 20:30, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
- Those links would be enough to avoid another speedy delete. Feel free to repost with the sources added. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 21:12, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
Public schools in NSW, Australia, are frequently colloquially known as Such-and-such Public, just as schools elsewhere are known as So-and-so Primary, or Where's-a-who's-it High. Not that I'm all that fussed (as I think the redirect is redundant, and that the majority of people searching will add the school at the end, or it will autocomplete for them), but I think your justification is off. It might have been good to check this one off with WP:EIA? ˜danjel [ talk | contribs ] 23:27, 21 January 2013 (UTC)

Why did you protect Arna Mer-Khamis? That article hadn't been edited for over a week, and in general has not been edited much. Perhaps a mistake? Debresser (talk) 19:55, 22 January 2013 (UTC)

A7 Deletion
Hello, the page PerspecSys has been deleted, and I was wondering if you can provide further insight about the use of A7 on this page. The subject contains a number of notable references to the importance of cloud data security over the coming years. Also, PerspecSys has won a number of awards and distinctions from notable organizations. In addition, similar organizations have articles in WikiPedia. The article, itself, discusses a number of elements of cloud data security, including processes for security.
Please see the awards & distinctions, as well as references below:

Runway theatre company
The references you refer to are all from the theater company itself and a obituary. It might be, but their articles do not have Wikipedia itself asserting that the product is "cool", as this article did in the first sentence.
