Micky Modelle

Thank you for removing that content at Micky Modelle and reporting the user. Good work. Just a tip: When you see someone add such a large amount of content like he did in this edit, it is a good idea to paste a chunk of it into google to see if it is a copyvio. It was. You can also use this fine tool. Keep up the good work. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 04:14, 25 July 2016 (UTC)

Speedy tagging

Hi. Thanks for patrolling new pages, a vital and under-appreciated task, but if you make a mistake in tagging, as you did on User:Marcel Wajs, as well as correcting the tag on the page (from G12 to U5 in this case), you should also correct the notice on the user's talk page; otherwise he will not understand what the real problem was. Also, you should never remove a user's post on his own talk page, as you did here, even if it is weak or silly - see WP:TPO. I have restored it and added some explanation of why Wikipedia is not Facebook - new users don't get that explained at sign-up time, so they can't be blamed for not understanding it. Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/The Discloser of Truth a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. "Please don't template the regulars"

I see you used a formal template to warn User:Materialscientist, an Administrator with 789408 edits, who reverted an editor who had changed the dob in the infobox from 1977 to 199q. If you then look carefully, you will see that when Materialscientist reverted the editor[1] the first line of the introduction, which was sourced, had 1977. In other words, Materialscientist was reverting to make the infobox match the sourced text in the introduction. Unfortunately, someone earlier had changed that. Materialscientist could I'm sure see that it was sourced and assumed that the sourced text matched the source. Did you notice that the IP's revert did not revert Materialscientist but said "Undid revision 743868700 by 75.150.129.25"? Anyway, back to my section heading, you might want to read Wikipedia:Don't template the regulars. It also points out that some templates have wording that isn't always useful, as is the case with the one you used. There was a source. Doug Weller talk 12:02, 12 October 2016 (UTC)

@Doug Weller: Thanks. It seems that the issue has become controversial now. NasssaNser (talk/edits) 12:14, 12 October 2016 (UTC)

Um, what are the temporary criteria X1 and X2 all about?[2] davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 05:31, 14 January 2017 (UTC)

@Davidwr: CSD X1 is about useless Neelix redirects. X2 is about bad CXT pages made before 2016-07-27. For more info, see CSD. Thank you. NasssaNser (talk/edits) 08:56, 14 January 2017 (UTC)

Warning received

Hello,

I received the following warning.

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:85.115.58.180&redirect=no

I had to log in under my user name I use for the Dutch Wikipedia. Please note that the IP on which I received the warning was related to my work, I never edited anything and definitely not from my work. I only looked without logging in or editing on the Wikipedia. So I assume somebody else might have abused my e-mail

Best and thanks nevertheless --Bor Komorovski (talk) 10:51, 20 January 2017 (UTC)

Hello. Maybe you are accessing Wikipedia from a bar, a café, a restaurant, etc. or you are using an open proxy to access it, so it is normal to receive such warnings. Thank you. NasssaNser (talk/edits) 11:03, 20 January 2017 (UTC)

FOR THE THIRD TIME, I HAVE MADE NO EDITS ON WIKIPEDIA. PLEASE *CHECK* FIRST TO SEE IF SOMEONE IS USING MY IP.

Seriously, you guys keep telling me about my 'edits', and I've not done any. You have me mistaken for someone else. LEAVE ME ALONE.

Notice

The article Apache Serf has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (software) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. IP block exempt

I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.

Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.

Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked (through the use of CheckUser) periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).

I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 15:47, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

Decline reason:

You do not appear to require WP:IPBE. You were able to edit just a few minutes ago. That edit is not obviously constructive. And you performed almost no edits the last time you received IPBE. You are welcome to reapply and justify why you need it despite apparently being able to edit. I want to be clear, you may well qualify for IPBE, it's just that you need to justify it. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited FLAC, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bit depth. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

The page Zettai Fukuju Meirei has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it was a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion Review. Requested Move, 23 January in Israel-Hamas war

Hello. I just wanted to point out, in case you are not aware, that a "Requested Move" was recently concluded which determined a consensus that the title of the article should be "Israel-Hamas War." Thus your Requested Move is duplicative and disruptive. Would you kindly hat it? Thank you in advance. Coretheapple (talk) 15:25, 23 January 2024 (UTC)

Maybe I am biased on this specific dispute, but the consensus on keeping "Israel–Hamas war" don't look convincingly strong enough for me to hat it. I am in support of a moratorium, though. Thanks. NasssaNsertalk 09:26, 26 January 2024 (UTC)

Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip rv. of edit

I have already removed this article from my watchlist. I like to consider myself impartial. To many, Israel is of course committing an act of genocide, but Hamas didn't on October 7? And blatantly filmed it, knowing what Israel's response would be on their own population. This includes things too graphic to write, but includes acts committed against women and children.

Anyhow, as I say, the article is no longer on my watchlist. Regards, Kieronoldham (talk) 01:06, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
