Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Atlas (Parkway Drive album) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Hello Insulam Simia. Thanks for patrolling new pages – it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know however, regarding Kanhirapuzha, that tagging articles for speedy deletion moments after creation as lacking context (CSD A1), content (CSD A3) and articles created through the Article Wizard, is too fast. It's best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Attack pages (G10), blatant nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course be tagged and deleted immediately. Thanks. Salvio Let's talk about it! 14:51, 30 May 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for May 31
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Swerve City, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Samples, Sergio Vega and Frank Delgado (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Reverting my citation needed
Hi, regarding your "revert": http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tumblr&diff=558151599&oldid=557920692
I put it in. It's my first. Maybe I'm wrong but there was a ref but to me it didn't say anything about "adult content". Maybe I should rather have changed the text itself to reflect the ref rather than the other way around?: "Tumblr has also been criticized because a large portion of the platform's traffic is driven by adult content." comp.arch (talk) 17:43, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- That actually seems to be a small technical error going on there. The ref used to cite that part of text had a ref name applied to it that was used earlier in the article, so the MediaWiki software got a little confused and showed citation 54 (which is irrelevant to the text) instead of no. 55 (which is). I've fixed this. Insulam Simia (talk/contribs) 18:02, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
Old Chinese Markets
Hi, I just wanted to let you know I opened an AfD for this page. I agree the article needs work, but it clearly has some historical merit and best to be discussed and see if the author can fix some of the issues. I don't see how it meets any criteria for speedy at this time. Tyros1972 Talk 07:12, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, I saw that already. I quickly removed the CSD tag I put on the page after I realised that the page wouldn't meet CSD A1 (it isn't short at all, its just very confusing). Insulam Simia (talk/contribs) 07:16, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- Yes I see that thanks. It's happened to me many times, I just wanted to let you know. Thanks for your help. Tyros1972 Talk 07:22, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

Keith D refusal to engage in rational discussion/harassment
I'll explain why. I updated Neill Byrne's stats. He has made 10 appearances and scored 2 goals this season. For the last several months, his stats have been left unedited and only included 7 of his 10 appearances. I corrected his stats as of the day of his last game and included a link to soccerbase.com to prove this. Immediately afterwards, this individual, who has been edit warring with & harassing me for several months reverted my edits to include a timestamp, which I had already provided (correct date of his last match). There are no rules that state that you must put in exact date down to the second you made your edit. A simple "match played eg 22 Dec" is sufficient. I would have no problem with this individual putting a timestamp on Neill Byrne's page because he updates his stats and maintains his Wikipedia page but he doesn't. He just reverts my edits to get a rise out of me & spite me. If I hadn't amended Neill Byrne's stats & those of other footballers, then they would be left incorrect for weeks and months. I am getting sick of editing & maintaining Wikipedia pages, only to have my work be repeatedly undermined by this individual. I have already given up on updating the Wikipedia pages of Hull City's Irish players because this individual repeatedly reverts my edits, because seemingly he owns the rights to Hull City's Wikipedia page.
Finally, I have tried establishing dialogue with Keith about this and tried to explain my point of view, but he ignores me & refuses to listen to me. I don't deserve to be harassed & followed every time I make an edit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.44.247.208 (talk) 19:30, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
Also, Keith D should be told to stop locking pages because of timestamps. If I choose to write "match played 22 Dec". That is factually correct, not "vandalism". I do not see the need to write down the exact date of my edit down to the tiniest detail, when it does not correspond to the date John Doe footballer played his last game. It confuses Wikipedia readers who believe John Doe footballer played last game on date of user's edit & not date of "match played". It is needless & arbitrary. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.44.247.208 (talk) 19:35, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
- The IP knows what the consensus on WP:FOOTY has been about timestamps on football players and continually changes them against the consensus. Keith D (talk) 19:49, 21 June 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Tees music alliance
Hello Insulam Simia. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Tees music alliance, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Article claims coverage in reliable sources. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 02:30, 30 June 2013 (UTC)

Ways to improve Covisint
Hi, I'm Jackson Peebles. Insulam Simia, thanks for creating Covisint!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Thanks for making this contribution! I really found it helpful, and my only recommendation is to improve the references by adding some additional information, possibly using the cite templates and to lengthen the article if possible.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Jackson Peebles (talk) 16:45, 3 July 2013 (UTC)

I noticed that you emptied Category:Deadmaus and moved the contents to Category:Deadmau5; in the future the correct way to do this is just nominate the category for speedy renaming. Categories should match article titles, so as soon as the article title is stable, you can move the categories speedily. But create/move/empty is not the right way, its a circumvention of process. cheers! --Obi-Wan Kenobi (talk) 02:29, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

A pie for you!
Hi Insulam, thank you for all your help with reviewing and vandalism prevention. I notice you are placing notices on the talk pages of vandals. That is good, but I am usually in the habit of placing those warnings myself after I have reverted. This creates some continuity for the suspected vandal. So if you see edits I have reverted please wait 10 minutes and if I have not placed a notice on the vandal's talk page then please go ahead yourself. But just give me that 10 minutes to complete the task, OK? Today I was getting edit conflicts because you were adding notices at the same time I was. Thank you so much for all your help!! — Keithbob • Talk • 18:11, 19 July 2013 (UTC) |
