Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:GlobalRockstar.com
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:GlobalRockstar.com, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. ♥ Solarra ♥ ♪ 話 ♪ ߷ ♀ 投稿 ♀ 08:19, 24 June 2014 (UTC)

User:Monimel/sandbox, a per-review
[edit]You mentioned at the Teahouse that you woudl like further eyes on your sandbox. The formal way to do this is to use the green button at the top, but let me save you a little time.
If I reviewed the draft today I would tell you the following:
All inline links must be removed, please, and turned into references if appropriate, Wikilinks, or external links in a section so named. We require references from significant coverage about the entity, and independent of it, and in WP:RS please. See WP:42
I would, on request, go through your list of references to determine which are and are not suitable. At a glance I can tell you that Alexa is not, nor is iTunes, and that the org's own website may not be used to reference it except in exceptional circumstances. These are almost certainly not exceptional. I would also ask you to look at combining instances of the same reference. {{Reflist}} explains some, WP:REFB and WP:CITE explain more.
Loads to learn, isn;t there?
I'd ask you to consider very seriously the extra work of using one of the citation templates or mechanisms retrospectively on each of your references. Until 30 June we had a tool to use to do this, but someone turned it off for the foreseeable future, so there is labour here. But it's good labour, because you learn how to do it..
Please give each of your references a suitably hard evaluation, replacing them if you need to with one that meets those tough criteria. If the fact they act as a reference for is trivial and you cannot replace them, simply discard the poor quality reference. If it;s a significant fact you may use the org;s own site, but be careful Too many uses are seen as spam. I advise against it. I would prefer to discard the fact on the basis that it probably doesn't matter whether it's present or not.
When you reckon you have done all you can, submit it for review (Green button in the box at the top of the draft). Even then continue to improve it. Reviews can take a little while to come to the top of the bucket. Fiddle Faddle 10:08, 2 July 2014 (UTC)
- @Fiddle Faddle:Thank you! I will go through the references myself and delete the unsuitable ones, I was obviously too soft. At the moment I feel a bit overwhelmed with the tool itself, feels like learning a foreigner language. But I managed German (an somehow English) so just give me a little time. Loads to learn, indeed! :-)
- On another note: as I mentioned in the Teahouse I’m a beginner and I heard many horror stories about Wikipedia editors before… now I’m wondering why, since everybody has been very kind and willing to help so far. Thank you all.Monimel (talk) 14:06, 2 July 2014 (UTC)
