Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
We are currently running a study on the effects of adding additional information to SuggestBot's suggestions. Participation in the study is voluntary. Should you wish to not participate in the study, or have questions or concerns, you can find contact information on the SuggestBot study page.
IMPORTANT CHANGES: We have modified the selection of articles SuggestBot suggests and altered the design to incorporate more information about the articles, as described in this explanation.
Note: All columns in this table are sortable, allowing you to rearrange the table so the articles most interesting to you are shown at the top. All images have mouse-over popups with more information.
Changes to SuggestBot's suggestions
We have changed the number of suggested articles and which categories they are selected from. The number of stubs has been greatly reduced, the number of articles needing sources doubled, and two new categories added (orphans and unencyclopaedic articles). We have also modified the layout of the suggestions and added sortable columns with various types of information about each article. The first two columns are:
- Views/Day
- Daily average number of views an article's had over the past 14 days.
- Quality
- Predicted article quality on a 1- to 3-star scale. Placing your cursor over the stars should give you a pop-up describing the article's quality (Low/Medium/High), current assessment class, and predicted assessment class.
The method we use to predict article quality also allows us to assess whether an article might need specific types of work in order to improve its quality. The work needed might not correspond to cleanup tags added to the article, since our method is not based on those. We have added five columns reflecting this work assessment, where a red X indicates improvement is needed. Placing your cursor over an X should give you a pop-up with a short description of the work needed. The five columns seek to answer the following five questions:
- Content
- Is more content needed?
- Headings
- Does this article have an appropriate section structure?
- Images
- Is the number of illustrative images about right?
- Links
- Does this article link to enough other Wikipedia articles?
- Sources
- For its length, is there an appropriate number of citations to sources in this article?
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. We appreciate that you have signed up to receive suggestions regularly, your contributions make Wikipedia better — thanks for helping!
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please let us know on SuggestBot's talk page. Regards from Nettrom (talk), SuggestBot's caretaker. -- SuggestBot (talk) 23:41, 11 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi Miyagawa, I notice that you took the Saluki article to GA so I'm hoping you might be able to work out what is going on? There seems to be a lot of chopping and changing in the info box re the country of origin? Looks like there are a number of accounts involved: Historyfirst, Reality2013, Cloudtree and others. Maybe I'm not assuming enough GF but it just strikes me as peculiar? Also, while I'm here bothering you, do you have any thoughts on the question Hafspajen raised on my talk page about the template changes for Danish/German dog breeds? It's a bit beyond my level of ability..... SagaciousPhil - Chat 08:26, 22 October 2013 (UTC)

Thank you!
Recently I spent a lot of time with the copyright books at UPenn to see what had been registered for copyright. My search was for the years 1965 to 1969, checking films (as television programs are in the category) and artwork (photos are included). My findings were that neither Desilu nor Paramount registered anything to do with the original series at the time it was being filmed and aired. NBC registered only one photo-a slide of Ben Cartwright on a horse from Bonanza. Basically any original photos that can be positively connected to either of the studios or NBC, were never registered.
Another surprise was when the animated series was introduced. NBC, who elected to cancel the original series, just went into their file cabinet and brought out this photo of Shatner and Nimoy File:Star Trek Shatner Nimoy Kirk Spock.JPG to promote it. :) I'm glad to have been of help and will continue looking for more of these! We hope (talk) 00:23, 8 December 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Space Seed, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Winston (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). DYK for Azati Prime
On 22 December 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Azati Prime, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the computer model for the future version of the Enterprise seen in the Star Trek:Enterprise episode "Azati Prime" was created in only a few hours? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Azati Prime. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. Thank you for the welcome
As I posted on Cirt's talk page, after reading the part about "it must be noteworthy" and I doubt that many of those books would be able to be verified on any other site other than fan sites for reviews. But yes I do own then all and have read them many times over. I be sure to look over the articles you listed for inspiration. I'm going to do some research and try and find one that was at least a best seller. It may take a while but I'll be sure and repost on your page once I make an article. I have been editing gaming wiki's for a while and I thought I would move up to the real deal. And again, Thanks for your help and post. Yoe Dude (talk) 13:42, 27 December 2013 (UTC)

Hi Miyagawa, I'm glad to see you back after your short break! I noticed you just filled Prep 1. Just a very quick and probably useless query - I see the image for the lead hook is actually an adaptation from the image in the article. Does the "adaptation" have to appear in the article as it doesn't at the moment? - I hope you can follow what I mean! SagaciousPhil - Chat 14:08, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
- Great, thanks - just thought it better to check as there seem to have been some (minor) hiccups lately! SagaciousPhil - Chat 14:15, 27 December 2013 (UTC)

Re
That is kind of odd, that hadn't been done like that before. As long as the article was worked on and nominated during the competition it was fine not really when it was started. That had how it been in the early years, always confused me how people got 100 points in the first few days of the cup. I started working on stuff as soon as I got back since reviews for sports articles usually come after a month or 2. I thought I just had to review the article, not wait till it was closed.--WillC 13:19, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
- Alright, it appears a rule has finally been made since 2009, maybe no one can get ahead too quickly this time. Thanks for the info. Mind checking my Genesis and Turning Point 05 subpages and see if those are legal to claim points at this time. I'm still working on them but done the majority since the first.--WillC 13:32, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
- I'm currently adding the reception and aftermath sections and then expanding the lead, that is pretty much half the article. Qualify then?--WillC 13:48, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
