Welcome!

Hello, Mindcrime7, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for helping us build a great free encyclopedia. We have five basic principles, but other than that, we advise that you be bold and edit. If you ever have any questions or need help, feel free to leave a message at the help desk, and other Wikipedia editors will be happy to assist you.

Thanks again and congratulations on becoming a Wikipedian!

P.S. New discussion threads for you will appear at the bottom of this page.

Hello Mindcrime7,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, MTV 500, may be copied from http://www.listology.com/kenne/list/mtv-500-greatest-videos-all-time-1997. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 11:02, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to MTV Year End Countdowns may have broken the syntax by modifying 4 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 08:26, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Mindcrime7. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Michele Guaitoli, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 03:57, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not a friend of this person the article was written for, I did ask him for permission when I met him at his concert recently to create a page on his behalf, and he granted it. I'm really just a non-partisan fan and I believe his music accomplishments warrant him having his own page. kenne 12:55, 11 March 2023 (UTC)
If you're getting emails from bandmates of Guaitoli, it stands to reason that you are more than a non-partisan fan. —C.Fred (talk) 01:11, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as at Template talk:Visions of Atlantis, (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Michele Guaitoli moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Michele Guaitoli, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 13:54, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Phantoma (album) has been accepted

[edit]

Hello Mindcrime7, just to let you know that I've accepted Draft:Phantoma (album) and moved it into mainspace at Phantoma (album). Two things of note: one, prose sections are typically placed before the track listing and tabular sections, which are placed at the end per MOS:ALBUM. Secondly, we cannot summarise critical reception and say "this album received positive/negative critical reception" when only one review is listed. Ss112 12:58, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
