Wikilinking

[edit]

Hi, and thanks for your work on the English Wikipedia.

I noticed an article you worked on. Just a short note to point out that we don’t normally link:

  • dates
  • years
  • commonly known geographical terms (including well-known country-names), and
  • common terms you’d look up in a dictionary (unless significantly technical).

(This even applies to infoboxes.)

Thanks, and my best wishes.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sonora Borinquen, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Keyboard, LP and Cassette (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of La velocidad de la luz

[edit]

The article La velocidad de la luz has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no evidence of notability

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:03, 16 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article César Vega (agronomist) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. reddogsix (talk) 02:20, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article you have created appears to be a direct translation of the Spanish Wikipedia entry - as translated by Google. Unfortunately Google does not always do a good job, and this may account for the many grammatical errors in the article you have posted. I am not sure you should be doing this unless you can translate it better. RichardOSmith (talk) 19:01, 21 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Usuario:Marinna/Lighthouse

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Usuario:Marinna/Lighthouse requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Thanks for creating Roberto Ventura.

I have just reviewed the page, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Hi there! THanks for your contribution. Right now the article has two different birth dates listed for Roberto Ventura, one in the lead and a different one in the infobox. Unfortunately, I can't read Spanish so it's hard for me to tell which is the correct one. Can you sort it out and change them to match? Thanks!

[edit]

An article you recently created, Patricia Bottale, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption.
