[edit]Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to F1 2010 (video game). Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Fabrictramp | talk to me 17:17, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:VariantMalaysianflag.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:VariantMalaysianflag.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Closedmouth (talk) 09:28, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did with this edit to TPI (Indonesia), is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. File source problem with File:Dual Shock 3 Analog Controller.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Dual Shock 3 Analog Controller.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:57, 30 December 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 16:57, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
The article List of USB controllers compatible with PlayStation 3 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Much of this information is in the PlayStation 3 Article
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. PDCook (talk) 16:46, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
File source problem with File:PSP with XMB screen.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:PSP with XMB screen.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:28, 3 January 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

Replacing Boxart
[edit]Please do not replace existing boxart as you did here. It's preferable to use non-platform specific boxart (or PC boxart) for multiplatform games. Thanks! Fin©™ 17:20, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
- I would like to re-iterate the above comment. Stop it or I'll report you. – PeeJay 16:00, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
I would also like to request you stop changing the image. Your replacement is unsuitable due to being platform-specific, having no fair-use rationale, and being far too large to qualify under fair-use anyway. The image already present in the article is far preferable due to meeting these requirements. Thanks, Miremare 22:11, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

cordless precision controller image
[edit]Hi. I noticed you uploaded a new image for the logitech cordless precision controller. Unfortunatelly that is still not acceptable. It may not belong to Logitech, like the previous one you uploaded, but it is still copyrighted (to the website you got it from). It is obviously from a website - it even has that sites watermark on it. It cannot be licenced under the creative commons BY YOU. If you contact the site and can get them to release the image as free (CC, GPL etc) and can proove it, then it is perfectly acceptable (as long as the watermark is removed). Otherwise it can't be used I'm afraid. If you look at most of the images I have uploaded you will notice that I have created them myself (DualShock, DualShock 2 etc.) and the remainder are derived from other images that were created by wikipedians (and released as free). If you want an image for the cordless precision controller (why wouldn't you) then you have to take it yourself (i.e. get a camera, and a controller and make a photograph). I'd do it myself if I owned one (although I could take a picture of the PS2 version, but that has different coloured analog sticks and centre logo). AlphathonTM (talk) 13:54, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

PS3 Slim infobox
[edit]Hi, just thought I'd let you know that I have reverted your edit to the PS3 slim infobox. The reason being that the information is already there in the pages main infobox. The one for the slim is there to highlight differences (release date etc) rather than provide the same kind of specs and info found in the main one. For example, slim specific dimensions would be fine, but non-specific things like conectivity=wi-fi would not. I only really mention it as you seem to be quite active in the video game articles, so thought you should be brought up-to speed to stop you making the same mistake again. PS3 Headset
[edit]It would seem we cross paths again. As far as I am aware the Bluetooth Headset cannot exclusivelly sync with Sony Ericsson, and it makes no sense since it works acording to a standard - vendor locking would require a propriatery system (or for the standard to support locking, which it doesn't). I have removed it as it is an unsubstanciated claim. If you can provide evidence of this then feel free to re-post it with citation. (I cannot test this as my phone happens to be a Sony Ericsson...go figure). AlphathonTM (talk) 10:58, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

Formula One notes sections
[edit]A recent policty of the WikiProject Formula One is the removal of all Notes sections per WP:TRIVIA. Where possible the notes are being incorporated into either the infobox at the top, or into the text of the article. If the note is of a trivial nature, particularly those of minor statistical achievement of individual drivers, they are being deleted. Please do not add notes sections, or additional notes, but please consider adding important details to the text desacribing the races.

File copyright problem with File:Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 logo.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 logo.jpg.
FASTILYsock(TALK) 00:48, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:NFSProStreetPS3Cover.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:NFSProStreetPS3Cover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
PLEASE NOTE:
- I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
- I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.

Fair use rationale for File:NASCAR_2000_PlayStation_Coverart.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:NASCAR_2000_PlayStation_Coverart.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Melesse (talk) 02:23, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

We must only be as precise as necessary in article naming
[edit]Hi. I appreciate your attempt to make Wikipedia more organized by moving the article titled Tiger Woods PGA Tour (video game) to Tiger Woods PGA Tour (iPhone video game), however this doesn't really match with the naming conventions for articles. As per WP:PRECISION, we should only be as precise as needed. There is no other video game named "Tiger Woods PGA Tour", and therefore the disambiguator in the title should simply be "video game". Also, it is improper to note this as simply an "iPhone game", as this is not true. The game is for the iPhone OS, which runs on the iPhone and iPod Touch as well as the iPad. Unlike other gaming systems, the operating system is not tied to only one set of hardware. It is for these reasons that I will request that the article be switched back to its original name. Let me know if you have any questions. Brian Reading (talk) 16:57, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
Racing trivia
[edit]Hi. Please could you stop adding trivia to Formula One racing articles. It might help if you read WP:TRIVIA, which provides some tips on what to include and what not. We are a general interest encyclopedia, designed to entertain and inform a casual reader. We are not a miscellany or a cruft dumping ground. Pyrope 14:57, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- Actually, I see that up the page you have already been contacted about this. As yu seem to be having some difficulty in realising what is and isn't trivial, I suggest that any time you are tempted to add something to a "Notes" section you resist. Pyrope 15:51, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
Hi, who are you?

Technical Specifications
[edit]Hi mate. I'm sorry, but I've deleted the 'Technical Specifications' sections you've added to Ferrari F2007, and McLaren MP4/22 and 23. There are two problems with what you added. Firstly, it largely duplicates what's in the infobox, which is intended to contain the technical specifications of the cars. If you want to go into more detail about the car, the text of the article is the place to do, not another list of bits. Secondly, there's far too much detail on suppliers etc which is all pretty meaningless to most readers without any context. Don't forget that we are a general purpose encyclopedia, not a statistics site or an F1 fansite.
Have a look at Brabham BT19 or Maserati MC12 for examples of a car articles that have been peer reviewed by the Wikipedia community and made it up to Featured Article status. There's a lot of prose about the car, but not too much listing of suppliers and sponsors. 4u1e (talk) 06:07, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
- And I've also deleted the technical specification section from the Champ Car article. I can't see how giving the spec of one car (Panoz?) out of the many different types that have competed under different rules over more than 30 years is relevant to an article on a race series like this. Cheers. 4u1e (talk) 19:29, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- Same for all the F3 articles. It might be reasonable to put in a section on current technical specifications for those series, although bear in mind that there is some variety in chassis in all of them, even if it is only between different Dallaras. The GP2 series article is a mess. Because this is a spec series, it makes much more sense to have a 'Technical specifications' section. However there's massive duplication of information between the existing information on the cars and the section you added. I'd suggest going through and merging the two sections together properly. I'll leave off this topic now as I feel like I'm hounding you. It's good that you want to add information to Wikipedia, but I suggest you read the articles on notability and referencing, and think about about how the information you have can be integrated into the articles in a way that is meaningful for readers. Cheers. 4u1e (talk) 19:49, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- You reverted me without discussing the changes above. Your history of editing mostly numbers and names, but not text, suggests that you cannot understand English very well - I can only suggest you stop reverting changes by other editors if you do not understand the reasons they give. 4u1e (talk) 23:08, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Aliff Aziz
[edit]A tag has been placed on Aliff Aziz requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. User warning
[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue. In particular the three-revert rule states that making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording and content that gains consensus among editors. If unsuccessful, then do not edit war even if you believe you are right. Post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.
- Look you're a good contributor, but you're trying really hard to get blocked from editting. Can't you see where this is going? --Falcadore (talk) 06:15, 29 December 2010 (UTC)

"Please stop editing the article, if editing, i will block you." You are not an admin, you can not implement such a block. You have been invited many times to participate in discussion, please do so. --Falcadore (talk) 07:06, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
This is your last warning; the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. The359 (Talk) 07:11, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
- Also, do not threaten people with blocks, you are not an administrator and you have no ability to block anyone. You do not own these articles and you cannot demand that your edits remain. The359 (Talk) 07:11, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
Please do not attack other editors, as you did here: User talk:Falcadore. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. The359 (Talk) 07:13, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
Please do not add invisible notes into article-space pages asking to discuss articles on talk pages when you routinely ignore talk pages. Please do not request edittors behave in a civil fashion when you routinely do not. I ask you to participate in the discussions you actually suggest to others. --Falcadore (talk) 07:18, 29 December 2010 (UTC)

Sauber C14
[edit]Ah, so you are able to converse with other editors. I was wondering, given that despite the vast number of problems raised here, you almost never respond.
Regarding Sauber, I'm afraid the sponsorship situation makes it a bit confusing, but according to the sources I looked at (Autocourse and Chicanef1), Sauber used fuel provied by Elf. The Petronas thing was purely sponsorship - it's not that unusual. After all, this year's Renault carried Lada stickers but did not use an engine from that company. If you have any evidence other than the stickers on the rear wing that the team did use Petronas fuel, then by all means let's discuss it.
Please don't use admin templates to threaten other editors. You're not an admin and don't have any ability to block me. You wouldn't even be able to persuade someone else to do it, since I have done nothing other than make an edit you personally don't like.
You've recently been blocked yourself, and making silly threats like that will probably get you blocked again. And if you keep on doing them, eventually you'll get blocked permanently, which would be a shame, since you seem to enjoy editing here. 4u1e (talk) 07:09, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
- I've got the fuel confirmed by another editor with good sources - it was definitely Elf for 1995. The article is now referenced to that effect. If you're interested, I believe Elf also supplied fuel in 1996, then Shell took over with the swap to Ferrari engines in 1997 before Petronas did start supplying fuel in 1999. Cheers. 4u1e (talk) 15:21, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
2001 Belgian Grand Prix
[edit]Don't add notes like the Benetton into Renault note, that are already in the story. It would be beneficial for you to pay closer attention to what you are editting. --Falcadore (talk) 09:21, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
Overlinking
[edit]Hi. You may find it useful to read WP:OVERLINK. In particular, generally we only link words on the first occurence. (This doesn't apply to tables of results, where it is normal to link on each occurence.) We also do not wikilink dates any more. I hope this is helpful. 4u1e (talk) 02:20, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

Warning
[edit]You have already been warned before about adding excessive amounts of statistics to race car articles. The previous warnings still stand, and you are being warned again now, that your continued addition of these excessive statistics and your edit warring in articles in order to retain your previous edits could lead to your account being blocked. Please stop this as your edits will continue to be reverted as you have yet to participate in any discussions regarding your behaviour. The359 (Talk) 06:27, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

Specifications, again
[edit]Why are you having to be warned about this yet again? You have been told repeatedly to stop doing this. It does not matter that the data is sourced, it is overly trivial and does not belong on this page. We already have templates for important elements of race car data that exist on numerous articles. I suggest you look into it. The359 (Talk) 09:26, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
- Additionally you seem to need reminding that the article is about the Ferrari F430. The GT2 and GT3 models represent a very small percentage of F430 production. Preference should always be given to data about mainstream models over minor run specialised editions. Detailed specifications of limited run vehicles should not be given preferential treatment over the primary model.
- The above should not be taken as an invitation to add GT2 specifications, after adding F430 specifications, as that would still run against the trivial nature of such additions. This data is much more appropriate to a Wiki optimised for high performance cars and/or motor racing rather than Wikipedia. --Falcadore (talk) 09:53, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:Logitech g27 01.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Logitech g27 01.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Alphathon /'æɫ.fə.θɒn/ (talk) 04:23, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Template:Languages of Africa (category)
[edit]A tag has been placed on Template:Languages of Africa (category) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.
If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. -- AquaDTRS (talk) 16:38, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
Image source problem with File:Famous Malaysian Chinese.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Famous Malaysian Chinese.jpg.
This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.
While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.
If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F4 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:32, 5 March 2022 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 00:32, 5 March 2022 (UTC)
