Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Lhouette
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Lhouette requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The4lines |||| (You Asked?) [edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to remove speedy deletion notices from pages you created yourself, as you did at Draft:Lhouette, you may be blocked from editing. Kirbanzo (userpage - talk - contribs) 22:19, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
One of your recent additions has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. Kirbanzo (userpage - talk - contribs) 22:31, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Please don't write about your friends or relatives and read the guidance below:
- When you write about a person, you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that they meet the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the person or an associated organisation, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the person claims or interviewing them. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls.
- You must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic, with verifiable facts, not opinions or reviews.
- There shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.
- You must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.
Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 18:10, 4 May 2020 (UTC)
- I notice that you claim the images as your own work, so either you are misleading us about not being him, or you are misleading us about them being your own work and posting copyright material here under a false licence. Please clarify Jimfbleak - talk to me? 18:14, 4 May 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks Theroadislong!
I have added in my referencers now correctly and linked important Wiki pages that appear on the article. Fingers crossed, I have done it all correctly. Loisspencertracey (talk) 19:56, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
- Needs more references. For example, the Early life section needs to be referenced. Basically, everything needs to be referenced. David notMD (talk) 00:53, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
Thanks David notMD. I have added more references now in early Life and throughout the article. Loisspencertracey (talk) 08:34, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks Theroadislong. I have taken out the YouTube ref and other ones that aren't seen as Authoritative. Loisspencertracey (talk) 09:07, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
Your draft
[edit]- You have been on a steep learning curve (copyright protected material, undeclared paid) that verged on getting you blocked. IMO the draft is not yet suitable for being submitted. It may be declined (with reasons given) if the reviewer feels that the artist has not yet reached Wikipedia's criteria for notability. (See WP:TOOSOON). Before submitting, I recommend deleting the Art Fairs subsection as not referenced and not particularly contributing to notability. Continue to work on finding quality citations (quality trumps quantity). Gallery listings of art for sale or sold do not contribute to notability. Ditto blogs and interviews and press releases. Good luck!. David notMD (talk) 08:50, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for your help David notMD. Will do what I can do get notable references.Loisspencertracey (talk) 08:55, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
- Notability is not contagious. Listing famous people who own work by the artist does not make the artist notable. David notMD (talk) 11:43, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
OK thanks. I will take that out. David notMD Loisspencertracey (talk) 11:58, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
