[edit]Hello, I'm FormalDude. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Aibonito, Puerto Rico, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ––FormalDude talk 05:24, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. ––FormalDude talk 05:24, 7 October 2021 (UTC)

Teatro La Perla
[edit]Hi. Here you added a link to NPS NRHP for Teatro La Perla that leads nowhere. Are you sure you have the correct link? For example, the Ponce City Hall displays the correct link, here, displays the PCH photos and submission forms, but not the link you added. Usually NRHP numbers start with the year the submission was made (86=1986 for the Ponce City Hall) but your number (100007054) either does not follow that pattern or is invalid. I suggest it is removed until the correct link is located. Thanks, Mercy11 (talk) 03:41, 20 January 2022 (UTC)

Content fork at 2 list of earthquakes articles
[edit]Hi there, I noted that List of earthquakes in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands seems to be a WP:CONTENTFORK of List of earthquakes in Puerto Rico. Do settle on a name and merge the articles together. Thanks~! --Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 07:07, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
Saludos. This "article" should appear as a list article as it's actually of list of lists of protected areas. Just wanted to alert you I intend to move it to List of Protected areas of Puerto Rico if you didn't have any objection. So you know, a non0list article of this subject should not consist strictly of list of sites and instead should cover topics such as the history, management, laws, etc., relative to the protected areas as a group. Protected areas of the United States is an example of such non-list article. Regards, Mercy11 (talk) 02:30, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
- Hola! That sounds good, I've got no objection - thanks for the help! Ligocsicnarf89 (talk) 03:29, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
- OK, it's done. Also, didn't want to bombard you with this second matter then but, while the article appears sourced, it's not clear where the sourcing for each entry made is at. At a minimum, we should source for each section as a group if all the entries under such section can be supported by a single source. In this case, there should be at least 6+9=15 sources. However, there are only 4+3=8 sources (source #5 is referenced 3 times, thus the 3).
- That said, I didn't want to place {{citation needed}} tags all over the 100(?) plus protected sites as that would not be fair to the article nor to you, as its main contributor, nor to readers whoi would then befaced with a bunch of tags getting in their way to the reading. So could you, perhaps, help me identify what source goes with which section(s)? Ideally we would want to add inline citations, but global per section cite would also be go, especially if the source lists them just like the article is listing them. I could help in this, but thought would first mention it to you since you wrote the article and are, thus, already best familiar with where you got the backup cites for each entry.
- For example, your cite on the "Caguas Real Reserve" (<ref name=":0">{{Cite web|last=Municipio Autónomo de Caguas|date=12 June 2015|title=REVISIÓN INTEGRAL DEL PLAN TERRITORIAL DEL MUNICIPIO AUTÓNOMO DE CAGUAS|url=http://caguas.gov.pr/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Memorial-nuevo-doc-11-de-junio-de-2015.pdf|page=42}}</ref>) is excellent because it leaves no doubt as to the veracity of that entry. On the other hand, however, a reader would have no clue as to why "El Verde Farm", "Cerro Las Mesas" or the "Manatí Research Area" are on their respective lists because they have no cites. These are just 3 examples, but I could had chosen scores more; in fact, could had chosen all others except for the ones under the "State Forests" section because those are well documented in their respective articles (which you did wikilinked). So, I wouldn't bother with the state forests for now (like Toro Negro and the rest in the State Forests section), but we do need cites for the other 14 sections (plus the municipal ones). BTW, I believe Reserva Natural Punta Cucharas was missing from the section on Reservas Naturales, so I added it. Incidentally, Punta Cucharas would be a good example of what I mean: note that when I added Punta Cucharas, I also added a cite specific to it, so any reader would know from which WP:RS I got that information.
- These are just some ideas. We are all volunteers here and so I am only making some suggestions. The article caught my attention because it's so excellently well written and also because I like the outdoors (as perhaps you do too). For example I wrote the article on Toro Negro State Forest (have been there a few times) as well as, I believe, the one on [{Cerrillos State Park]]. Maybe a few others I don't remember right now. Gracias por tu atención y siéntete libre de hacerme cualquier comentario pertinente! Mercy11 (talk) 02:00, 6 April 2022 (UTC)

copyright
[edit]I removed quite a lot of content from La Colectiva Tabacalera because your copy+paste from Puerto Rico's paperwork violates Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain_sources. It is intellectually dishonest to take someone else's words and pass them off as your own, even if you provided an in-line citation. Your edit summary "Page created. Additional sources needed. Thanks!"
doesn't inspire me with confidence, either. You are not helping our community by stealing someone else's work, throwing it into an article you didn't bother to get a DYK for, and then walk away expecting us to clean this up. I see you've gotten in the habit of doing this with perhaps a dozen other articles. I provide you this warning because I just saw a Wikipedian who had been contributing since 2005 get blocked because they would not abide our copyright policy. I encourage you to do better. Chris Troutman (talk) 14:44, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Isabela, Puerto Rico into Hermitage of San Antonio de Padua de la Tuna. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 00:36, 21 July 2022 (UTC)

Barrio and ward
[edit]Because "barrio" and "ward" are not the same I think it's more correct to use the word "barrio" and not "ward". Puerto Rico's barrios were not always somewhat similar to minor civil divisions in the US. A ward can be an electoral unit or a neighborhood and ward has a lot of other meanings, across the world. The US Census definition for barrios is "Along with Barrio-Pueblo, the primary legal subdivision of municipios in Puerto Rico. Similar to the minor civil divisions (MCDs) used for reporting census data in 29 states of the United States"[1] and the Barrios of Puerto Rico Wikipedia article describes them in more detail.
