Norton, Suffolk
Hey! Thanks for adding references and so on to the Norton, Suffolk article. I've turned a couple of them into more complete citations for you rather than bare urls - which is a quite useful thing to be able to do. I wasn't sure if you knew how to do it or not? If you've not tried before why don't you give it a go, using the style I've demonstrated for you, and see how you get on - feel free to ask if you need to. Whilst I'm mentioning it, it might be worth trying to find third party sources where you can for things. Good job though - a big improvement to see some refs in the article. Blue Square Thing (talk) 19:19, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks Blue Square Thing. Yes I'll follow the complete citations idea using your style guide. As to third party sources, I did search, but struggled on a few (especially the school - possibly partly because it's so new). Will keep hunting, and I know where to locate/borrow a Pevsner guide to Suffolk, which may be helpful in providing more background and details for older buildings in Norton and beyond. Thanks again and will ask if I get stuck on citations.Libby norman 19:57, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
- No worries - third party sources can be tricky and it's not as if there's stuff that can't be verified. Try Edubase for the school - usually a year or two on the drag. The various English Heritage websites can be quite handy for historical stuff - and Suffolk Churches if ever so helpful. I meant to say earlier that I usually name my refs - that way you can reuse a ref later in the article or if you need to at some point in the future. A good trick I find. Blue Square Thing (talk) 20:05, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
- Or you might find the Suffolk SOR stuff helpful on the school - I think I sorted the Ixworth primary school reffing out with that the other day - check that article maybe? Blue Square Thing (talk) 20:06, 31 January 2013 (UTC)

Nieuwesteeg Heritage Rose Garden
Libby, your improvements are much appreciated.
You may not know that rose naming conventions distinguish between single and double quotes. "Dettmann No. 6" means the name is a temporary one for study purposes. 'Dettmann No. 6' means the name is historically the original and valid one. Many of the Nieuwesteeg roses have temporary names pending correct identification. You stated in your review that"There is also superfluous information, such as repetition about girlfriend, a tediously long list of games played, etc. A serious trim and inline citations may help to get this article up to standard. See WP:REF for referencing advice."

June 8 review
Hi Libby, I'm new and learning -- slowly -- about the submission/review process. A couple days ago I think you deleted an article I mistakenly had submitted twice. But does that mean the other article is still in the queue waiting to be reviewed? If yes, then should I just sit tight and continue to wait? If no, then what do I do? So confused.
Here's what I think has been submitted, but I'm just not sure: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_creation/Steven_Montgomery_(2)

Help with article
Hi Libby! You recently declined an article I created, [[Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Lumension Security], and I was seeing if you had any further suggestions for me.
I posted in the help desk section and was replied back to, but I'm still a little unclear of where to start. I have independent sources for my reviews and awards sections but I more so have press releases for a lot of other sections since I could not find anything independent. Those that have press releases listed are in my timeline and acquisitions & mergers section.
So if I can't find any independent sources and can only find a press release, I have to remove it completely? Or can I keep that section? I don't know how trimmed down this article needs to be is essentially what I am saying. Thanks for your help! Kendraelise0 (talk) 20:36, 11 June 2013 (UTC)

I've added references to my article, Kooky Klicker Pens. However, next to the links, there appears some red texts referring to the links. What is the cause of this problem? Can you fix it? PinkTruffles123 (talk) 01:08, 20 June 2013 (UTC)PinkTruffles123
- That red text tells you that the citation template you use, {{cite web}}, requires the linked page's title via the "title=" parameter to work properly. I've tidied up one of your references with this edit; however, a toy store is not a reliable source in the first place, and you should probably remove these sources completely and instead cite newspaper articles or reputable trade magazines. Thus I haven't bothered with tidying up all of them. See also WP:Referencing for beginners on how to easily create footnotes. Huon (talk) 02:03, 20 June 2013 (UTC)

Crofton Park entry
Dear Libby,
Thank you for your constructive comments on 29 July.
I work as an editor and have lived in Crofton Park since 2007, where my partner and I both have strong community links. I have researched the local history from primary sources and have experience in writing/editing/publishing history/heritage titles.
I am confident that the information provides an accurate picture of the area.
We can knock the references into shape by going through them systematically and will have time to do this over the weekend (as well as adding further references in the correct format, mostly relating to archive newspaper refs). We will endeavour to find sources for the 'eating and drinking' section: as you can see this is a minor paragraph but the reason we included it is that it reflects the character of the area.
I will let you know if we get stuck and once we've finished updating.
Thanks again
Best wishes Ed

Article on Dinorah Varsi rejection
Hello Libby, Thanks for your comments on my attempt to create an article on Uruguayan pianist Dinorah Varsi. I will include a link to the online obituary from El Pais, as you suggest. About the concert reviews cited, there are a few that name the critic, publication and date. If those newspapers do not have online archives, what else do I need to include for the review to be traceable? Isn't the reference adequate enough? I see in the "music" guidelines that recordings on recognized classical labels are also sufficient to establish the notable character of a person. Dinorah Varsi has recordings on Phillips, EMI (Deutsche Harmonia Mundi) and Mediaphone, all considered major labels in Europe. I think that this alone, more than any article about her in the press, should be sufficient to see that we are talking about a acknowledged notable pianist. What do I need to include in these cases? Date of publication? Catalogue number of the recording? Being a pianist myself, I know that any colleague that won first prize in the Clara Haskil competition (www.clara-haskil.ch) and recorded for Phillips has done more than enough to be considered a major pianist, a notable figure in her field and worthy of an entry in WP . Just take note of some of the other Haskel winners: Christophe Eschenbach, Richard Goode, Michel Dalberto, Till Fellner, Mihaela Ursuleasa, all of them major pianists with major careers. I will try to improve the article, but somehow I have the feeling that a classical musician has to be a household name to be deemed "notable", and surely if it were so, WP would have no "raison d'etre" Albertoreyes (talk) 13:43, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

About Ignacio Solano Article
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Ignacio_Solano_Cabello
Good morning and greetings from Spain!
I cannot agree with the comment about correction
1) The article is in Spanish Wikipedia
2) About verification... All the projects are explained in the website, some of them are public.
3) Think the article is notable as they have some of the biggest vertical ecosystems in the world... everything is pattented. In this sector (vertical gardens) Paisajismo Urbano is revolutionary.
Please check it again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AlejandroOrmad (talk • contribs) 07:44, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi again
Hi again Libby, thanks for your kind reply, but it dont understand.
How can you verify "external and neutral references that can be verified" something that is already there?
This is not a theory, is something that really exists. How can you verify something that already exists, is phisical and you can touch it?
Sorry, i dont understand such and ambigue term.
Thanks
Libby, thanks.
Much better with the examples.
Going to fix it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AlejandroOrmad (talk • contribs) 14:07, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

Emmanuel Séjourné article declined
Hello, Thank you for your opinion. I'm sad to see that my article, which is a translation of the same article in French accepted by the French Wikipedia community, has been rejected. I understand though that the rules might differ from country to country. I'll review the article following your guidelines. I have a small objection though, as far as your example is concerned ("his music, rhythmic, romantic, and energetic...") Looking at it from the point of view of musical vocabulary and styles, "rhythmic" means that his music is strongly based on numerous rhythmic patterns visible in all his works, as opposed for exemple to "ambient music". "Romantic" indicates the style used in the romanticism period, with the particular way of conducting the melody, and with a harmony particular to the romantic style in music. And then, "energetic" is perfectly objectif as far as we speak about music played and composed at a certain tempo, in a certain tonality, which give it this particular "energetic" character, often written by the composer himself at the very beginning of every musical composition to explain the character of the music to play (par exemple, in musical terms: vivo, vivace). One just can't describe a ballad or a passacaglia as energetic, given their tempo, and their tone, but one can easily say so about most of the marches, or about first and last parts of most of the symphonies. I didn't intend to classify Séjourné's music in a subjective way, but tried to refer to the character of each of his compositions. I hope you get my point, do tell me, please, if it convinces you. I'll be glad if you give me as well a hint about some other parts of the text which bothered you, it'll help me improve the article to make it fit the English-speaking Wikipedia. Neutrality at Articles_for_creation/Shift4 Corporation
Libby, Thanks for the critiques on Articles for creation/Shift4 Corporation Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Shift4 Corporation. I have made the changes you recommended (updated one source, changed the text to better match the source on another, and eliminated the non-neutral language you mentioned). I am hoping you might take one more look before I resubmit the page. Feel free to make any neutrality changes you deem necessary and let me know if we need additional references or additional material. Thanks, Casper n (talk) 21:25, 29 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi Libby. Hope you be well.
Can you review those articles please?

Libby,
Thanks for your help. Before I resubmit as you suggested, should I remove your comment on sources and that pink "reliable sources" box that's currently at the top of the page? Or is it better to leave that in place so the next editor can see what we worked on? Sorry, I'm new to this and I just want to make sure I follow the rules. Thanks, Casper n (talk) 19:29, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

Keep an eye on Stephen Bienko
You declined the AfC about a month ago, and I re-declined it just now. It seems to be a high risk BLP article because the subject may have significant negative information out there that isn't being included in the article. I warned the submitter that once the article goes main, all bets are off with regard to maintaining the glowing positive spin they are trying to create. We should keep an eye on it. Hi, Libby. Thanks for your reply. Yes, the initial draft, in an effort not to cross the line on neutrality, was weak on notability. I made some revisions to the second version that should help with now the neutrality, and have resubmitted. Many thanks.
