Assistance with SPI

Hello. I noticed that you deleted a page created by Jack Bufalo Head ("Heinrich von und zu Bodman"). A week ago I opened a case against that editor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/-Ilhador-). I believe him to be the same user as -Ilhador- (as you can see in his talk-page, -Ilhador- is also notorious for borderline-disruptive editing of pages related to German history, and for making controversial page moves without ever seeking consensus). Could you examine this case or could you indicate me another user that could perform a checkuser on Jack Bufalo Head? Thank you. --Omnipaedista (talk) 10:47, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

I am not a checkuser, but I certainly believe that there is something wrong with "Jack Bufalo Head", who makes lots of controversial edits and never discusses them. —Kusma (t·c) 12:45, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
It was confirmed. Do you think it is appropriate for me to ask for an indefinite block against -Ilhador-? He is temporarily blocked now; he has already been temporarily blocked once before for sockmastering but that did not prevent him from using sockpuppets again (or editing as an IP address editor) for illegitimate reasons. Plus, he keeps ignoring warnings from administrators (and regular users) for the past ten months. Your advice would be helpful. --Omnipaedista (talk) 06:57, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

Dear Kusma:

Why was the section entitled "Jin Shin Jyutsu" removed? I am referring to the Jin Shin Jyutsu® physio-philosophy, an ancient art of harmonizing the life energy in the body. It was supposedly revived in the early 1900's by Master Jiro Murai in Japan. He supposed found information about it from the Kojiki (Record of Ancient Things). The resulting knowledge of Jin Shin Jyutsu was then given to Mary Burmeister, who brought it to the United States in the 1950's.

The only information from it is from the Jin Shin Jyutsu organization. I was hoping to learn about it from Wikipedia.

Interestingly, there is an entry in Wikipedia for Kojiki, which is listed as a possible source for Jin Shin Jyutsu.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Jeff V. Pulver Branchburg, NJ (email removed) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jvpulver (talkcontribs) 22:52, 17 January 2013 (UTC)

The article we had at Jin Shin Jyutsu was cut and pasted from some Jin Shin Jyutsu organization websites. In particular, it was (a) a violation of copyright and (b) did not come from a reliable source independent of the subject itself. I can't tell whether we should have an article about JSJ or not without some more research (but I don't currently have time for that). Hope that explains a little what happened (I deleted that article five years ago). —Kusma (t·c) 05:28, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

Progress over at Today's articles for improvement

I was reading an old conversation you participated in, and I thought I'd mention how much progress has gone on over at Today's articles for improvement. If you missed it, an RFC was held and concensus was established that the TAFI content should be placed below the DYK content. We will be launching the feature on the Main Page shortly, and the Main Page sandbox shows it will look. Participation on the talk page is always welcome. --NickPenguin(contribs) 04:37, 7 February 2013 (UTC)

How would you normally deal with his IP socks? I've blocked one for a week, can I safely assume he wont return to that IP? —Xezbeth (talk) 19:03, 26 April 2013 (UTC)

Cyrus Gates

Hello Kusma, I am trying again to submit an entry for 'Cyrus Gates' I see you are/were the administrator, who deleted it the first time. I have since reworked and provided more third party references. I am still working on citing the picture of him. I took the picture from a picture from the 'Cyrus Gates Farmstead.'

Thank you for your time and help, Steve Beukema — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sgbeukema (talkcontribs) 19:23, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

The article at Cyrus Gates that I deleted in 2006 had been copied from here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Cyrus_Gates_Farmstead&oldid=51926663#Biography_of_Cyrus_Gates

The reason it was proposed for deletion was "Wikipedia is not a geneological record. Non notable person". I am not currently convinced that the person passes our criteria for inclusion (WP:BIO). However, I suggest you take that up with the reviewers at Articles for Creation. Happy editing, —Kusma (t·c) 08:25, 22 May 2013 (UTC)

You deleted a page on Joe Ollmann. Why would you do that? Is it because you hate art or was the page offensive? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.86.28.128 (talk) 02:35, 22 September 2013 (UTC)

The entire content of the page I deleted seven years ago was "Joe Ollmann is a Canadian graphic novelist/cartoonist living in Montreal." This sentence gave no indication that our notability criteria are met, so I deleted the page per our speedy deletion criteria. I guess that we should have a page about Joe Ollmann, but it will need more content. Hope that explains it, —Kusma (t·c) 07:25, 22 September 2013 (UTC)
