Image copyright problem with Image:MTS Logo.JPG
Thank you for uploading Image:MTS Logo.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 23:06, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Non-commercial image
If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-3.0}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.
If you did not create this media file, please understand that the vast majority of images found on the internet are not appropriate for Wikipedia. Most content on the internet is copyrighted and the creator of the image has exclusive rights to use it. Wikipedia respects the copyrights of others - do not upload images that violate others' copyrights. In certain limited cases, we may be able to use an image under a claim of fair use - if you are certain that fair use would apply here, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list. If no fair use rationale applies, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.
If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. Carlosguitar (ready and willing) 11:25, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Charles Keisler
A tag has been placed on Charles Keisler requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Delicious carbuncle (talk) 17:44, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
May 2008
You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, as you did at Charles Keisler. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.
Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.
If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. Judging from the website you provided: http://ck135667.web.officelive.com, and your username, this is you, right? Orphaned non-free media (Image:McDonald's Corporate Logo.JPG)
Thanks for uploading Image:McDonald's Corporate Logo.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 19:41, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Duplicate Image:Charles keisler.jpg
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Charles keisler.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Charles keisler.jpg is a duplicate of an already existing article, category or image.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Charles keisler.jpg, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. From Track Legs RE: San Diego Trolley
Ck135667: Material was added to the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System. Thank you, as this page needs content. A suggestion... before adding material feel free to discuss on the discussion tab for that article. That's where Wiki users can discuss relevant material to be included.
Concerning the table identifying sub-divisions, some are not appropriate (North County Transit District, National City & Veolia). Some others are already identified as subsidieraries (sp?), like the trolley. I want to remove that edit first, but thought to discuss with you first.
From time to time I have viewed other transit system wiki pages to look for consistency or standardization. have you seen any other pages out there that appeal to you?
Welcome aboard, Track Legs

Image copyright problem with File:Compaq logo new.svg
Thanks for uploading File:Compaq logo new.svg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}}
(to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

License tagging for File:Compaq logo new.svg
Thanks for uploading File:Compaq logo new.svg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on w:Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 22:05, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Your recent RfA
I am sorry, but I have closed your Request for adminship prematurely. Simply put, you only have 1200 edits on Wikipedia; while your edit count isn't the only determining factor, and numerous people have their own personal standards by which they judge RfA candidates, this particular RfA was all but assured of not passing.
I am sorry about this, and I hope you don't take it personally. If you continue to contribute to the project in a positive fashion, I am confident that you would be able to submit a successful RfA in the future. You may wish to consider applying for an evaluation by other Wikipedia editors for feedback on how to obtain the necessary experience. Once you are ready to request adminship again, there is a great admin coaching program available, as well as a guide to requests for adminship.
If you have any other questions about becoming an administrator, please don't hesitate to ask me. Good luck! PeterSymonds (talk) 03:31, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (File:Wow icon.png)
Thanks for uploading File:Wow icon.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 07:45, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
San Ysidro Transit Center page move
Hi. I'm just wondering the reason behind moving the San Ysidro Transit Center article to San Ysidro Transit Center (San Diego Trolley Station), as you don't seem to have created another article at that title. Disambiguators are only used to differentiate between two subjects with the same names; the naming policy describes that the titles should be the common name where possible. File source problem with File:MTS Historical Photo form 1886.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:MTS Historical Photo form 1886.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. - Thanks again for uploading File:Avast5.PNG. However, I noticed that the file's description page still does not introduce a reliable source for verification as the link you have provided is dead. In addition, you have not provided the version info for the product from which you have taken the screenshot and the name of the operating system on which the product as seen in the screenshot is run.
- Please attend to the matter quickly. If possible, do not use a direct download link as source. Rather, use the link of an official web page which gives the download link as source.

Your signature
Your signature is somewhat disruptive to conversation flow. You should consider shortening it. Gigs (talk) 21:42, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
Rebuttal
My signature is the true binary form of the text or ASCII string "Koman90". The art or binary conversion pertains directly to the technology articles I edit, plus it shows my level of knowledge in technology. the only other possible idea i have for a creative signature is converting my username to hexadecimal. Would this make my signature fall under the reasonable guidelines? ----01001011011011110110110101100001011011100011100100110000 00:31, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
- Hex would be better.. but still 4b6f6d616e3930 is still pretty incomprehensible. It's useful to remember the purpose of your username and signature... it's so that people can refer to you easily and address you in interactions. A signature or username that people can't easily type or remember kind of defeats that purpose. If you wanted to go hex then it wouldn't be as disruptive to flow, but still hard for people to use. It's not really about guidelines so much as usability. Gigs (talk) 01:11, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
- Thank You, I'll put the default back now. I was really just wting to see how long it took someone to mention it--Koman90 (talk) 01:26, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

McDonald's Corporation logo
I would like you to know what you did was improper. As you have been told repeatedly for the past several years, the logo you created is not the corporate logo, it is the advertising and store logo. By removing the image without starting a proper discussion goes against the spirit and processes of WP, and causes nothing but problems. --Jeremy (blah blah • I did it!) 01:49, 27 December 2009 (UTC)`

Sir, firstly unless your an admin you have no right to teat me as you did above, secondly i have encyclopedic evidence going back to the year 2005 that this is the McDonald's Official Coporate Logo. The way you have been defending your work is not tolerated in a community of open and free reference materials, and i will not stand by and watch you try and defend a logo as a status symbol of your edit and or upload count. For the past two years that i have Been an editor on Wikipedia I have been attempting to update logos that have been used corporately, only when encyclopedic evidence exists that it is used on corporate documents. I will not tolerate someone standing in my way of helping create the worlds largest encyclopedia weather it be by text images, audio or video

- The way you did this was contrary to several policies and standards on Wikipedia. You have tried acting bold, but instead failed to look before you leaped and that is where everything went off the tracks. What you needed to do is start a proper discussion, develop a consensus and and then act when and only if consensus confirmed what you claimed was proper. The note you left on the McDonald's discussion page basically declared this is what is and this is what I am going to do about was not the proper way to have gone about this. Further, tagging the original image with a {{speedy}} tag and notifying one person who barely works with the McDonald's article was yet another example of the wrong way to replace the image. You should have nominated it for deletion at the images for deletion page so its removal could also be discussed.
- In regards to your assertions about the image you created, a search of McDonald's Corporate web site shows that it is only one of their main logos, specifically called the "I'm loving it" 3D logo. Others include their classic "Golden Arches" logo, their "Drive thru" logo and their "road sign" logo (these are their names for these logos). The logo the company uses on their web page is the "Plain Golden Arches" logo while various press releases and other documents contain the 3D logo or the plain "Golden Arches" logo, so your assertion that that is the main corporate logo is dubious. Also, if it were the corporate logo, why do new stores not use it on their signage? What you are asserting is called synthesis which is a form of original research and is not allowed.
- Further, claiming I am doing this because it ups my edit count violates a primary tenant of Wikipedia, assume good faith. I am not saying what you did was wrong because I didn't like the changes, but what you did was wrong because the way you did it. --Jeremy (blah blah • I did it!) 00:59, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- Jeremy, I apologize for how i treated you in return. The fact of the matter was i suffer from bipolar disorder and i had forgotten to take my medication the previous night and that morning. However, regardless of my mental stability at the moment in which this happened i realized that i must take responsibility for my actions. I took the time to seek out, re-vectorized and re-upload the logo as it is a historic logo,and put it on the McDonald's Article. In the Future i will ry to stay away form the wiki when I'm not in a good mood.
Signature
Greetings. Could you please fix your signature per WP:CUSTOMSIG. Signatures should avoid line breaks, and when you sign using four tildes, your signature seems to put the timestamp on a new line with a preceding space which looks bad in formatting. Further, the word (in english) is "Technician" not "Technitian". Thanks! -Verdatum (talk) 16:41, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

The article David Dartt has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ironholds (talk) 02:53, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

Hi Koman90. The source PDF you listed in this image description does not contain the logo itself. Could you provide the correct source for the logo? Thanks, Gump Stump (talk) 20:26, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- thank you for noticing, i totally forgot about that, i had copied and pasted an older version's FUR to that file and forgot to change the source the new link provided on the fur goes to a source image. HP dose not use this logo on corprate documents because they claim it's not "aesthetically pleasing". they were using this logo prior to the 2005 report in commercials, also notice that the 2005 report the tridtional late 9o's early 200s logo is used on a busy photo this is more of the use of the older logo today as of a high contrast logo. --Koman90 (talk) 23:21, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- I see you edited the file with a source location, but that source is not an HP website or document, it's just a random web location. If HP doesn't use this version on corporate documents, why is it in the article? - Gump Stump (talk) 15:54, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
- The new logo demonstrates that Hewlett Packard has removed the rectangle on their logo, however both are still used and they are dynamically interchanged, when I have made calls to hp they have claimed the new "orb" logo and "dot" logos are used where they're marketing team feels it is aesthetically pleasing, however the new orb logo is used on brand new PCs Mid 2009 and newer, Thus a rectangular logo is no longer accurate. See this article regarding the logo change --Koman90 (talk) 23:07, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

I approved your request for using AWB. Please use the latest version found in http://toolserver.org/~awb/snapshots/ and remember that you should avoid making insignificant or inconsequential edits such as only adding or removing some white space, moving a stub tag, converting some HTML to Unicode, removing underscores from links (unless they are bad links), or something equally trivial. This is because it wastes resources and clogs up watch lists. -- Magioladitis (talk) 09:27, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Svgalbertian (talk) 17:51, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
