Hi, this is my talk page (me being KojiDude). Feel free to leave me a message.

If you're looking to reach me off-wiki you can E-mail me at koji@dbzvortex.co.uk, or contact me at my forum. Your best bet besides that would be my PlayStaion Network adress (CptJakHarkness) which isn't as much of a long shot as you might think...

Rules to Follow unless, of course, you want your message deleted

  1. Don't be a dick
  2. Try not to insult me. If I'm acting like an ass or breaking policy, just report me. I'm sure someone at WP:AN/I will deal with me.
  3. Don't ask me to do tedious work. Unless it pertains to one of the projects I'm part of, I'm not going to do it. Even then it's a stretch. If you've got a truck full of double redirects, you're asking the wrong guy.
  4. Don't try to call in-civility on me for something stupid. Swearing isn't un-civil, it's American damnit.
  5. Don't argue with me. I'm right. And if I'm wrong, I'm going to pretend I'm right until either you shut up, or I end up at ArbCom. I've never been taken to ArbCom before, so odds are good you'll shut up.
  6. I'm expecting that not alot of people will read this, since it's at the end and most people will have realized how flippant my rules are by now, but don't break up conversations. If we start a conversation on a talk page, leave it there (unless you're bulletproof3:16).

A note regarding the WPVG Newsletter

[edit]

Due to an apparent lack of interest, the WPVG Newsletter will be switching from a monthly publication schedule to a quarterly one. The next issue be delivered on July 1, 2009, and will pertain to the second quarter of the calendar year. If you have any comments regarding this, or suggestions to improve the newsletter, please post at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Video games/Newsletter.

Daymeeee

[edit]

You not buying this guy as much as I'm not? He's trying to convince that "Irving met his end" means he survived, got off the boat, and lived ever after? He's trying to convince me that shaking heads, looking disdainful, and saying, "We're the only three left" means the others got lifted off for medical attention? I just want to make sure that I'm not the only one who's completely not buying this. It seems to me that he's being antagonistic for no reason, now. I just want to confirm that I'm not the only one getting this vibe... This is a really absurd debate, though. --The Guy complain edits 02:31, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You're not the only one. It's a stretch of an argument that's using speculation to say that things are speculation (if you can follow that). Some people were clearly killed, bodies shown, comments made by characters, but Wesker really wasn't confirmed one way or the other. The circumstances of his death are different than the others, so the decision for him shouldn't be used to cover all the others. Personally, at this point, I get the feeling Daymeeee is arguing just for the sake of arguing.--Koji 02:38, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm feeling he's arguing just to argue as well (that's what being antagonistic is, in case that wasn't clear... I should've made it clear). His argument at this point is majorly pulling at straw ends, trying to find some pressure point. He clearly wants to feel like he has some type of control in this decision. I really think it's a pride issue; he doesn't want to admit defeat. Either way, this is getting long and annoying. I could probably find an external source explicitly stating the deaths of these characters, and he would probably say they're wrong because they're not in-game. I'm getting sick of having to spell everything out for this guy. He's trying to get us on technicalities way too hard. I'm seriously questioning his intentions: are they to help the article, or something else? --The Guy complain edits 02:52, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm getting the personal intentions vibe too. If we're lucky, he'll come back tommorrow and just go "Fuck it, I'm gonna go donate shoes to the salvation army instead." but judging by his contributions that might be wishful thinking. I don't know, I was originally only in this to be cheeky and see how it eventually played out. If it wasn't for apathy, I'd probably take him to ANI and let it die that way.--Koji 02:59, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's gotta be personal intentions. I've never seen something deplete to this point where every word is specifically being picked apart with the intention of turning my own words against me (in a very not-believable way, I might add). He's already expressed that he believes these characters have died, so he's just opposing it to oppose it. I just want some of these other people to come around and help. His debate is a very large, unbelieveable stretch that, if you think about logically, doesn't make any sense. If you think about it logically, he's clearly trying to get me on a technicality, but to what end? To improve the article? A 4-hour long debate involving him carefully picking apart my words and claiming that they are saying something different is improvement to the article? Consistency is definitely importance-based, too. Minor characters shouldn't be held to the regulations of major characters, and vice versa. I'm tempted to go in there right now and say, "Well, I guess Excella didn't die then either. Neither was it a pile of dead bodies, they were actually just passed out from last night's party. Oh, and Uroboros? Yeah, we have a bad rodent problem." Also, I'm unfamiliar with the terms ANI. Please inform me. --The Guy complain edits 03:36, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure this is something that needs to be taken to ANI, you know? Lychosis T/C 03:40, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sure it is, ANI is where you dump things that you don't care to spend time on anymore.--Koji 20:02, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I lol'd. --The Guy complain edits 01:38, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Army of Two

[edit]

Just incase you didn't see it on the discussion page I thought I'd say it here; the Missions section to me seem completely redundent as all the information in it is/can be covered in the plot section, it also clutters up the page with lots of small bits under new headlines. 'The Ninjalemming' 17:19, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's what I was thinking as I re-wrote it. I'd support removing it and probably would have done it myself sooner or later.--Koji 20:12, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bad faith, disruptive edits

[edit]

I'm considering blocking you from editing, since you seem be making bad faith, disruptive contributions to Wikipedia.

  • Here you oppose a request for adminship for the reason "because I can".
  • Here you seem to state that you have no reason to oppose ("I don't have a problem with Timmeh, I just do what amuses me.")
  • This "tongue in cheek" support is also clearly not meant to be taken seriously.

I am hoping that this assessment of your contributions is wrong. If so, please clarify this on those pages as soon as possible. For example, you might strike your oppose "!vote" at the RfA, explain your WT:RFA posting, or both. Thank you. SHEFFIELDSTEELTALK 19:55, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've made joke votes at RfA lots of times before, this isn't new. :-| I would love for you to block me for being blunt in discussions and clowning around at RfA's; that would absolutely make my day.--Koji 19:59, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Koji, I don't agree with you having been blocked about this right now, but I do want to start a discussion here.
This is an encyclopedia project. While we know that it's not just an encyclopedia, but also a community of people working on the encyclopedia, there comes a time when miscellaneous social activity may be disruptive to the encyclopedia purposes.
You seem to be treating a lot of the social aspects like a game, a social networking website, something like that. I believe that, as you have just found out, that's not as OK as it has been in the past.
You clearly do good work editing articles on and off. But your recent contributions look more like you're using this place for a series of jokes and social networking, with minimal article work. And that's less and less ok behavior as time moves on.
You know how to do constructive encyclopedia work - you've done it quite a bit before. And at many times in the past, you've had toned-down humor content in your community and encyclopedia work, which was less disruptive to the environment.
I don't want to suggest that you stop treating Wikipedia somewhat lightly. We're not supposed to be a dull, dank, and dreary academic exercise. But we're not a comedy show or social website either.
There's a balance there, and I urge you to think about it and try to avoid annoying other people so much that they think you're being disruptive.
Thank you. Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 22:52, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That is... an interesting way to think of it. You've given me an abnormal ammount of respect in that post, which was as unexpected as it was daunting. Given that, I'll throw you a bone and open up a bit of my reasoning: I think of Wikipedia as more of a pass-time, and I feel that being blocked for taking such a pass time too lightly only makes it that much more amusing. I've been here long enough to know how drama gets started, and to know how it grows. I've created and been a part of such drama un-intentionaly several times; more recently, though (like in the big "argument" on the Resident Evil 5 talk page) I've created or have been a part of it on purpose.
I outgrew the serious outlook on Wikipedia when I came back from editting after 07-ish, and to watch people argue, warn, block, and debate over petty issues is amusing. I think being part of it and calling people on petty-ness and/or faults is even more amusing, and being blocked over such things (or smaller things, i.e. RfA) is funny enough to text message my friends about. Sometimes you just like to watch the Wiki burn a bit, from a first-person perspective. The fact that joking in RfA is considered disruption just gives me more a reason to want to do it; people's serious, smug, reproachful responses to such things just makes me laugh. Honestly, sometimes I just go down my contributions and look at how people have freaked out about it before to pass the time. My block log, if you understand the circumstances of each, is one long joke.
If that's the kind of view that is condemned here, then I won't mind being indef'd for it. If you couldn't already tell, it would be hilarious from my pov.--Koji 01:58, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If a main or major purpose of your presence here is to cause drama then I would support your being indefed. Am I misunderstanding something? ChildofMidnight (talk) 02:25, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for bad faith and disruptive contributions. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. File permission problem with File:TurokTouchstone.PNG

[edit]
File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:TurokTouchstone.PNG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MBisanz talk 05:48, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dear WikiProject Video games member,

You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months.

The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.

All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:

Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

Revision history of Baby (Dragon Ball)

[edit]

One of your talk pages from 2006 was featured on something awful http://www.somethingawful.com/d/comedy-goldmine/worthless-wikipedia-pages.php?page=3 (3rd from the bottom I believe). I hope that you have learned to spell, or at least notice that squiggly red line that means you spelled something wrong. I hope you have learned the actual definitions of "FACT" and "Canon". Your trivial argument over a Japanese cartoon disgusted me to my core. You pushed your opinion as an agenda, and weren't willing to make concessions. Now that this discussion is being widely scrutinized by an "unwashed mass" of unreasonable web-based troglodytes, I hope you can comfortably and morally stand by your behavior, as the past has risen to meet you! In summation, your insistence that the Japanese names of characters from a cartoon broadcast in English, to English speaking peoples should in any way take precedence over the English names, and your inability to see your opinions as anything other than "FACT! >:@", does not paint a pleasant picture of your personality. If your allegiance truly is to the U.S. of A., then I recommend you unclench your sweaty hands from a self perceived understanding of Japanese culture and language, and accept that when you are dealing with other innate English speakers, you must speak to them in English. If you are talking about a non-English subject matter, you must find the English equivocals, including their sanctioned English names.

Good day, sir. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.69.46.171 (talk) 18:11, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. For the Election committee, MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 13:50, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The file File:Kojidude's Cat Jordey.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Personal file, no foreseeable encyclopedic use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
