Hello Kheo17. This message is in regards to the article Western Azerbaijan. Another user had deleted large part it which I restored with some minor addition. Please add more sources, especially where numbers are mentioned and should constitute facts. Thank you! Tuscumbia (talk) 14:22, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Kheo, user Magoteers disrupts everywhere. Looks at this article where he reverts all the time dismissing third party sources: [1]. I think he needs to be reported.  Anastasia Bukhantseva  05:04, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Lost territories after 1920.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Lost territories after 1920.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 19:05, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Heydar Aliyev nightview.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Heydar Aliyev nightview.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 16:44, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Baku olympic stadium.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Baku olympic stadium.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Salman Gambarov and references

You created this page last week. It is referenced only to the biography on the subject's own website. Any chance you can locate some references in reputable 3rd party publications (preferably but not necessarily English language) that can be added to the biography to confirm his notability? Could other users check User:MarshallBagramyan expropriation of the entire Kars article.

[edit]

Could other users check User:MarshallBagramyan expropriation of the entire Kars article. This user constantly erases the other versions of the name of the city Kars in other languages (Armenian: Կարս Kars or Ղարս [ʁɑɾs] Ghars, Azerbaijani: Qars, Georgian: ყარსი Kars, Kurdish: Qers, Russian: Карс Kars) , and only lets the Armenian version of the name to stay (Armenian: Կարս Kars or Ղարս [ʁɑɾs] Ghars). Unfortunately this user's ethnocentric POV pushing by ignoring the history of the city, after the Armenian era, is still allowed to stay. He even defends it in the city article talk page.

Could all Azeri users check User:Yerevanci's and User:Nocturnal781's relentless POV additions, lately in the Ermenikend article.

These users constantly change the correct article name of Ermenikend into the incorrect name of "Armenikend". Could all Azeri users prevent the taking over of articles about Azerbaijan by Armenian users with their biased nationalistic POV agenda. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.224.158.240 (talk) 12:17, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kheo17,

You recently removed the map showing venue proposals on the above named article, as weel as updating the image of the Crystal Hall itself. The new image is fine, but the map has been restored, as it is part of the venue decision making history, which is mentioned in the article. This is keeping in line with previous contests where several venue locations have been decided and included into the article - see Eurovision Song Contest 2011 for example. The map is still there and adds depth to the article. Thanks WesleyMouse 21:01, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Invite to the African Destubathon

[edit]

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

PRODS

[edit]

Hello, Kheo17,

I've already mentioned this in a post above this one but PLEASE, whenever you tag a page for deletion, state this in the edit summary. This is a necessary part of the process. There is also some problem with the PROD tags you are posting because the tagged articles are not appearing on the PROD list, User:DumbBOT/ProdSummary. Maybe you could use Twinkle to tag pages for proposed deletion, the program would also post a notification on the talk page of the page creator. Please change your behavior if you are going to be tagging more pages for deletion. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk!

I will take your concerns into account. Thanks.--KHE'O (talk) 21:59, 9 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, considering Azerbaijani language uses Latin alphabet with some modified letters I do not see any issue here. Using modified letters in the title is not prohibited for settlements without common alternative name in English. This is the consensus for more than 4,000 Azerbaijani settlement articles on Wikipedia. Otherwise, we have to move all of them. Thank you--KHE'O (talk) 21:36, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Geostub mass creation

[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you've been mass-creating articles based on government tables like this. Tables are specifically excluded from establishing notability under WP:NGEO. We've had issues in the past with this type of mass creation, and I strongly advise against it. My suggestion to you would be to slow down and find at least one or two secondary sources (books, newspapers, etc) that cover the location in depth (not just a passing mention) for each new article. If you find it easier to create articles en masse and add sources later, please create them as drafts and move them to mainspace when they are more fully developed. –dlthewave 03:27, 11 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Armudlu, Shusha moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Armudlu, Shusha, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. [edit]

Hello, Kheo17. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Armudlu".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Nrnadzor, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Caucasian Tatars. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Unreliable sources

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in Armenia, Azerbaijan, or related conflicts. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}} on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Please do not use highly unreliable sources, such as one titled "Toponyms of Turkic origin of Western Azerbaijan" that is referring to Armenia. Something that incredibly WP:UNDUE and irredentist violates Wikipedia's guidelines. And even if a village had a small Azerbaijani population over a century ago, that alone doesn't justify adding alternative names per WP:ONUS. There are also issues with how you cited the Korkotyan source. On the Geghanist, Ararat article, there is no mention of Azerbaijanis being deported, so I'm assuming you got that from Bayramov, and you didn't include the Armenian population of 179 in 1831. The source also doesn't specify what ethnicity the 1914 residents are, but you wrote they were all Azerbaijani. And on the Arevis article, you wrote the source said there were 169 Azerbaijanis when it actually says 168 Armenians. I'm not sure how reliable the Korkotyan source can be considered, seeing as how it is almost a century old and WP:AGEMATTERS.

And I see that you removed the source on Verin Shorzha that confirmed the village was originally entirely Armenian and didn't explain why it was "less reliable and contradictory". Dallavid (talk) 19:35, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Because the author says in the source that one 40-year old resident of village told me that there was no Azerbaijanis before 1928. I provided statistical information from research papers instead. KHE'O (talk) 20:04, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Askeran shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
