Invitation to join the Twenty Year Society

[edit]

Dear Golbez,

I'd like to extend a cordial invitation to you to join the Twenty Year Society, an informal group for editors who've been participating in the Wikipedia project for twenty years or more.

Best regards, Chris Troutman (talk) 19:14, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

United States historical maps

[edit]

Hi,

I noticed that you've been editing your series of United States historical maps. I have two requests:

1. Can you edit the labeled maps like https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5d/United_States_Central_map_1780-03-00_to_1780-10-25.png, even though they're not shown on the Territorial Evolution of the United States Wikipedia page?

2. Can you show the Northwestern North America, Pacific Ocean, and Caribbean maps to the same scale as the Central North America maps, and with the same image aspect ratio? The Pacific Islands will probably need to be shown as insets.

Thanks in advance! Squee3 (talk) 20:08, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

United States historical maps, again

[edit]

Hi,

I noticed that your new Pacific Ocean maps aren't to the same scale as the others. Would you be willing to make a series of maps of just Hawaii to the same scale as the others?

Thanks in advance! Squee3 (talk) 01:41, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Re: having all maps to the same scale, I just think it would look nice. Squee3 (talk) 17:02, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Re: the Pacific map scale, maybe keep the maps you have, but create a separate series of to-scale maps truncated to just Hawaii? Squee3 (talk) 21:14, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hawaii historical maps

[edit]

Would you be willing to make of series of historical maps of just Hawaii? They don't have to be a part of the Territorial Evolution of the United States map collection, but they should have the same map scale, aspect ratio, and style. Squee3 (talk) 19:16, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Using your maps in a history project

[edit]

Hi Golbez. I work for a company that's making a big American history project. I'd like to use your maps as a reference for our work, but I have some questions. Would we be able to talk?

Thanks so much! Joe JoeCMM (talk) 10:14, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Historical maps again

[edit]

I don't mean to be rude, and I know it'll probably take a while, but are you working on the labeled maps? It's been quite a while since you uploaded the last corrected change map. Also, you don't have to do this if you don't want to, but I'd still appreciate the Hawaii map series I mentioned earlier. Squee3 (talk) 15:26, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I responded to you a week ago, and haven't worked on it since. It'll get done. --Golbez (talk) 16:39, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Using your map

[edit]

Hi Golbez,

Was hoping to incidentally see one of your maps in a project that makes the usual attribution tricky. I'm wondering if it would be possible to quickly chat with you about it? Thank you!! Safarres (talk) 19:35, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to participate in a research

[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

WMF Research Team

Tinkering

[edit]

Howdy. It's mostly Batong1930, who's constantly tinkering or changing the images. As a result, I removed the List of presidents of the United States & List of vice presidents of the United States from my watchlist. GoodDay (talk) 19:51, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

United States historical maps, yet again

[edit]

Again, I don't mean to be rude, but I'd still like you to update the labeled United States history maps to match the change maps. I'd also still like you to make a Hawaii-specific series of maps with the same map scale and aspect ratio as the United States in Central North America maps.
