Greetings Recent Changes Patrollers!

This is a one-time-only message to inform you about technical proposals related to Recent Changes Patrol in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey that I think you may be interested in reviewing and perhaps even voting for:

  1. Adjust number of entries and days at Last unpatrolled
  2. Editor-focused central editing dashboard
  3. "Hide trusted users" checkbox option on watchlists and related/recent changes (RC) pages
  4. Real-Time Recent Changes App for Android
  5. Shortcut for patrollers to last changes list

Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)

Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.

Note: You received this message because you have transcluded {{User wikipedia/RC Patrol}} (user box) on your user page. Since this message is "one-time-only" there is no opt out for future mailings.

Best regards, SteviethemanDelivered: 01:10, 8 December 2016 (UTC)

Note punctuation and capitalization conventions per WP:MOS:

wrong: Working-Hotelling Procedure
wrong: Working-Hotelling procedure
wrong: Working–Hotelling Procedure
right: Working–Hotelling procedure

I changed the hyphen to an en-dash both in the title and later in the article, and brought it closer to the norms of WP:MOS and WP:MOSMATH in some other particulars as well. Michael Hardy (talk) 17:38, 9 January 2017 (UTC)

Thanks! I'm back from a six-year hiatus, so there are lots of things I've forgotten in the meantime. Thanks for all your corrections! Kayau (talk · contribs) 01:03, 10 January 2017 (UTC)

DYK for Working–Hotelling procedure

On 17 February 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Working–Hotelling procedure, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Working–Hotelling procedure, first formulated in 1929, was one of the earliest methods of simultaneous inference? You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Working–Hotelling procedure), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

DYK for Randomised decision rule

On 30 July 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Randomised decision rule, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that a randomised decision rule satisfying the Bayes criterion always has a non-random alternative? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Randomised decision rule. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Randomised decision rule), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Hong Kong and Wikipedia question

Hello My name is Omer Benjakob and I am a journalist covering Wikipedia

I wanted to know if you would maybe be willing to talk to me about Wikipedia and Hong Kong for a story I am working on

We can talk privately or via email or WeChat if you prefer - my email is omer.benjakob@haaretz.co.il

Best Omer Benjakob (talk) 10:42, 22 July 2019 (UTC)

I stumbled across your user page Kayau and I am also interested in your views on HK and Wiki (since you oppose HK secessionism --badge on your user page). Specifically, do you think you would still be able to edit Wikipedia if HK were governed by the People's Republic of China, given Wikipedia is banned in China? "On 23 April 2019, all versions of Wikipedia were blocked in China.[1]" [2] @עומר בן יעקב: Did you publish an article on this somewhere? 24.217.247.41 (talk) 02:32, 4 August 2019 (UTC)

"Template:Hong Kong Transport" listed at Redirects for discussion

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Template:Hong Kong Transport. Since you had some involvement with the Template:Hong Kong Transport redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you wish to do so. Magioladitis (talk) 07:40, 23 August 2019 (UTC)
