Information icon Hello, I'm Jellyman. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Mixu Paatelainen, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Jellyman (talk) 07:15, 30 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2019–20 Hong Kong Premier League, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Philip Lee (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Pang Chiu Yin moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Pang Chiu Yin, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion nomination of Wong Tsz Ho (footballer, born 2000)

[edit]

Hello Karsonlauch,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Wong Tsz Ho (footballer, born 2000) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Hello, Karsonlauch. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "2020 Guangdong–Hong Kong Cup".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

A tag has been placed on Category:Jiangxi Liansheng F.C. players requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Charlie Scott (footballer) article, and I couldn't find one either. If you have a reliable source please let me know and we can change the article. A tag has been placed on Category:Eastern SC seasons requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

Liz Read! Hi, about the Sapling Cup

[edit]

Hi! Wish you had a nice day. I have moved all Hong Kong Sapling Cup related articles to Sapling Cup (e.g. 2020–21 Hong Kong Sapling Cup to 2020–21 Sapling Cup). It was the original naming format for the Sapling Cup before last year. I would like to write a short explanation on why the moves had been done (at least from my point of view).

The naming convention for football competition is a little bit different in Chinese and English. I will take UEFA Champions League as an example. In Cantonese language, usually it is referred as 歐洲聯賽冠軍盃, meaning European Champions League. You may be noticed that UEFA is replaced by European in the naming convention. It is very common in Cantonese (Hong Kong) translation that using the place name to replace the organization, but this is not the way on how the world of English language naming football competitions.

Similarly, for the Sapling Cup, the more correct way to name the competition, is either HKFA Sapling Cup or Sapling Cup. In the official website of Hong Kong Football Association, you can HKFA had officially named the competition as Hong Kong Football Association Sapling Cup or Sapling Cup. It is unnecessary to name it as Hong Kong Sapling Cup. Ux610283 (talk) 13:05, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello Afootballfaninhk!

  • The New Pages Patrol is currently struggling to keep up with the influx of new articles needing review. We could use a few extra hands to help.
  • We think that someone with your activity and experience is very likely to meet the guidelines for granting.
  • Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time, but it requires a strong understanding of Wikipedia’s CSD policy and notability guidelines.
  • Kindly read the tutorial before making your decision, and feel free to post on the project talk page with questions.
  • If patrolling new pages is something you'd be willing to help out with, please consider applying here.

Thank you for your consideration. We hope to see you around!

Notice

The article Yip Ka Yu has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Played 892 minutes of football in the Hong Kong league. No notability as a football player, and no notability under the WP:PERP guideline either.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
