if you don't have any particular next letter in mind, can I suggest P? Typo redirect Judson B, Black
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Judson B, Black, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Judson B, Black is a redirect page resulting from an implausible typo (CSD R3).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Judson B, Black, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Maybe-useful sorting trick
[edit]thought I'd share this in case you can use it...
one of my computers has a fairly hefty monitor. So what I did when sorting was to open up 3 edit windows on a single F-A-G page - one on the "Unclassified" section, one on the "Not on Wikipedia" section, and one on the "Possibly non-notable" section. I can then use cut'n'paste between the windows to sort through the list quite rapidly.
As long as I don't create more sections, saving them one by one seems to produce the right result. Have fun! --Alvestrand (talk) 11:55, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

I should be done today or tomorrow and then I am going to work on gettin the list featured. Just thought you might be interested.--Kumioko (talk) 17:49, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

More Medal of Honor stuff
[edit]I wanted to let you know that I noticed that user Expertfp1 was adding MOH citations to boxes and I asked them to stop. Personnaly I can't think of a rule specifically against it but I think it clutters up the page. I also submitted the MOH LIst for the Philipine-American war for FLC so thats 2 down. I am working on the Vietnam war now and should have that one done in a few days. After that most of the rest still need a lot of articles so it may be a little while before I get another one to FLC.--Kumioko (talk) 20:57, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Chano Pozo
[edit]Hello. In the article on Chano Pozo, after the statement that Chano Pozo came to New York in 1947, you have added the comment in parentheses, "this date is too late". I'm curious to know what the basis for that comment is. Numerous sources say that he first came to New York in 1947 to play with Dizzy Gillespie, e.g. [1] Many musicians marvel at the enormous influence he had, despite only being in New York for about 18 months. Since he died in December of 1948, that would place him in NY in the first half of 1947. Jloree (talk) 00:21, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Merging of Judge Traxler's articles
[edit]Hi, Jennifer. In March you proposed merging two all-but identical articles about Judge Traxler that had slightly different captions ("Jr." vs. ", Jr."). No one has objected to the merge, and the situation has become acute with the profile bump of Chief Judge Williams' retirement and Judge Traxler's succession of her as Chief Judge. I have accordingly merged the two articles, redirected one of them (since, as Garner's Usage notes, both the with commar and without forms are equally correct, I chose William Byrd Traxler, Jr. as the primary article on the basis that William Traxler already redirects there) and removed the merge tag you placed. - Simon Dodd { U·T·C·WP:LAW } 15:57, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Good day to you, A user just created an MOH article for the above, and it looks valid based on the ref. However, it is not listed on the Army Center for Military history site and was not on the list until this user added it. Thanks for adding the image, you move fast. His article is the last for the WWI recipients. They all have articles now. I also created a template for the Military times Hall of Valor similar to the one for findagrave. it can be found at template:Hallofvalor. Just to give you some insight into the future I have the WWI recipients list at FLC know and I will be submitted the Asian-American list in the next couple weeks. I am going to combine the Hispanic and Puerto rico lists into one (mostly because the Puerto list only has about 5 people on it) and I will denote the PR folks so they stand out. I am also creating 2 more for Living recipients and Burials at Arlington Cemetery. In september I am going to try and knock out the Boxer rebellion and get that list up to FLC by hte end of October and I have several that I am going to be submitting for reviews (mostly GA). Just thought I would let you know. --Kumioko (talk) 18:36, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Edwin Nelson
[edit]A tag has been placed on Edwin Nelson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. <>Multi-Xfer<> (talk) 22:04, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
