This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Robert S. Martin, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Robert Martin (disambiguation). It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Robert Martin

[edit]

Hello again. Robert Anthony Martin was the original name of Stephen Donaldson (not the sci-fi writer) a/k/a "Donny the Punk". I have never gotten involved in the disambiguation process.

Speedy deletion of Raymond L. Knight

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Raymond L. Knight requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Question

[edit]

Hello Jennifer, my fellow Arizonian. I just have a friendly question. What's the point of striking out (eliminating) the "Category American military personnel of World War II"? Is there a specific reason, for example has the category been deleted, against policy or is it because you don't like it? Just asking because I've seen you around before and you are an excellent editor. Tony the Marine (talk) 03:21, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thank you Jen (can I call you Jen?). Your answer to my question makes complete sense. I see that you have a keen interest in Haiti. I think that it is wonderful that you have taken upon yourself such a noble task. Keep up the good work and if you ever need anything from me just let me know. John R. Fox

[edit]

Hello, Jwillbur ... do you think that John R. Fox (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) is ready for Featured Article status yet? Happy Editing! — 141.156.217.11 (talk) 23:00, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, no. It's not quite comprehensive yet, it could use more information on his early life and family, his military service before the MOH battle (although it might be hard to find sources for those parts), background on the MOH battle, etc. There are also a few paragraphs with no inline citations, and the lead needs to be beefed up. I might start working on this article soon, I've been planning on it for a while, but it needs a bit of work before FA. jwillbur 18:24, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

History of Haiti

[edit]

Hello Jwillbur! I saw that you are interested in the history of Haiti? I am too, and I have some things I would like to know more about. You say that the articles about Haiti i History are lacking, and perhaps you are right. They are a lot about the Haitian revolution and such, which is important, but other things I have found nothing about. I am interested in theatre history, actors in history and women in history. Do you know when the first theatre was founded in Haiti? I think it would be interesting to read about the theatres, actors and actresses and celebreties in 18th century pre-revolutionary Haiti, but there seems to be nothing of that. I don't know if you are interested in this, but perhaps you can give me some tips on names to Google? Best greetings! --85.226.235.178 (talk) 11:41, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Glad to see someone else interested in Haitian history. I'll respond to your questions about theatre in Haiti at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Caribbean, in case others want to chime in. It's not my area of expertise, but I was able to find a tiny bit about it online. jwillbur 04:15, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have been working on getting the Medal of Honor lists up to Featured article status and I noticed this one on your talk page. What do you think we need to do to get this up to featured status. It seems very close and I wanted to ask you before I submitted it. I am also close to getting several others ready. They are the Philippine-American War, World War I, the Korean War and World War II. They aren't ready yet but now that my RFA has died a glorious death in battle I am going to start tackling these. My goal is to get them all to FA and any assistance would be appreciated.--Kumioko (talk) 21:37, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the quick reply, I do not think its necessary to cite all the text in the tables. If you look at List of Medal of Honor recipients for the Battle of Iwo Jima you will notice it is a featured list and doesn't have them. The only thing I wonder about the AA MOH recipients list is whether we can use the replace image male pic in-lieu of the actual pic or a blank space since many of them do not have a likeness in WP.--Kumioko (talk) 22:18, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Creating geo lists

Hi I've made an intital suggestion at the GEOBOT talk page in that it would be an excellent idea to generate a full lists of places in a tabled list. Once this is accomplished we can work through what articles could be started in their own right if there is enough info avilabale. I see it as a solid comprehensive base to build geo content on if we have a full world list organized like this. See Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Geography/Bot#Creating lists. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for biographies in particular.

Sources for Haitian municipalities

[edit]

Hello, here are the sources that I used for making the articles on Haitian municipalities on the Dutch Wikipedia:

Source Information Status on English Wikipedia
Wikipedia in Kreyòl Names in Kreyòl Present in most articles, except some that already existed when I started adding municipalities. Perhaps we should consider using the {{lang-ht}} template.
Falling Rain Elevation Present in most articles, except some that already existed when I started adding municipalities.
Coordinates Present in most articles, except some that already existed when I started adding municipalities. In the future I would like to remove the |lats=0 and |longs=0 parameters from the infobox, because they give false accuracy.
Profiles des Modes de Vie Number of inhabitants (IHSI, 7 Aug 2003) Present in most articles, except some that already existed when I started adding municipalities.
The Columbia Gazetteer Information on location and economic activities Not on English Wikipedia yet. Perhaps we have to be careful to avoid a copyright infringement.
L'Iconoclaste Postal codes Not on English Wikipedia yet. They can be copied from the Dutch Wikipedia.

I noticed that on both the pages that are currently below 60%, you did the last edits... N in February, S in July. Do you plan to return any time soon? (I'm thinking about going at N, but wanted to check with you first. S is a HUGE page!)

Another thing - I've been reasonably heavy-handed with declaring articles "possibly non-notable" and not counting them - which helps the completeness percentage, but may possibly be controversial. Do you want to comment on my criteria? --Alvestrand (talk) 21:11, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Paralympic sports page moves

[edit]

Hi. I'd like to discuss your recent moves of Paralympic sport articles from "Paralympic [Sport name]" to "[Sport name] at the Summer Paralympics". While I'm happy to see these articles worked on, I do not believe these are appropriate moves. An article like Paralympic archery is so named to distinguish it from regular Archery; the word "Paralympic" is used to denote that this is sport for athletes with a disability. Archery at the Paralympic Games is an important part of Paralympic Archery, but it is not the only part. I'd like to discuss this with you further before you continue with these moves. Thanks - EronTalk 17:57, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not vandalism

[edit]

You reverted an edit I made to Michael_J._Novosel. I don't think the addition was inaccurate. His grandson, Brian Clevinger, has a much greater degree of celebrity, and the article was only created after Clevinger mentioned his grandfather in his blog, in the context of his funeral. Without that mention, Novosel would likely have died without anybody ever creating an article about him, however well-deserved it may have been. I thought it was therefore appropriate that it be noted in the lead section for some context.--122.109.134.121 (talk) 17:25, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Paralympic cross-country skiers of the Czech Republic, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Paralympic cross-country skiers of the Czech Republic has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Paralympic cross-country skiers of the Czech Republic, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD.
