[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Bobby Jindal. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Jindal is Indian American. That article says India is South Asia, The category fits. Do not remove content without explanation. Get consensus on the article talk page before making such a change again. Removing categories
[edit]Hi,
I just saw that you were removing categories such as Converts to Islam and Former Protestants from multiple pages. Any reason for doing so? -- Raziman T V's Alternate account (Talk - Contribs) 18:10, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
Why can't we remove redundant categories? Converts to Islam from Protestantism contains Converts to Islam and Former Protestants. Removing overlaped categories, Pages will be clear. --Jun Nijo (talk) 06:55, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Hi,
I just saw you removed the category "converts to roman catholicism", probably because you thought it overlapsed with the category "converts to roman catholicism from judaism". I think Döblin should also be classified under "converts to roman catholicism" since he was only ethnicly jewish, but didn't practice the jewish religion.--Chris2000 (talk) 04:04, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
Editing etiquette nudge
[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When you make a change to an article, please provide an edit summary for your edits. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit. It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. —Eustress talk 04:10, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
Adding biographies to categories without sourcing
[edit]Could you please stop adding various biographical articles to categories that are not supported by the article text or sourced. Without adding sources to the articles, you have violated WP:BLP in a number of cases, so please stop. --DAJF (talk) 09:32, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Gavan McCormack, please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified according to Wikipedia's categorization guidelines. Categories must also be supported by the article's verifiable content. Categories may be removed if they are deemed incorrect for the subject matter. Thank you. DAJF (talk) 09:41, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
Please share your thinking
[edit]Please provide edit summaries with your edits. Without them, other editors have difficulty understanding what you're trying to accomplish. Edits that have edit summaries are much less likely to be reverted. Thanks, CliffC (talk) 03:22, 15 February 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, please do. There were several Kennedy related articles with categorization changes which have been reverted due to lack of summaries. — MrDolomite • Talk 05:33, 15 February 2010 (UTC)
- Reviewing more of your edits, it appears you were changing Category:American Roman Catholics to Category:American Roman Catholic politicians. — MrDolomite • Talk 05:37, 15 February 2010 (UTC)
Please help by reading what you're editing
[edit]While you're plowing though articles trying to assign or combine religious categories, please take time to read the article to determine whether a category is justified at all – for example, in Peter J. Brennan you changed "American Roman Catholics" to "American Roman Catholic politicians", although the article gives no indication of his religion. By simply removing the original unwarranted category, you could have improved the encyclopedia instead of compounding the error. --CliffC (talk) 15:03, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Reform rabbis categories
[edit]Why did you remove relevant categories from the Reform rabbi categories? These are valid supercategories for the rabbis articles. --AFriedman (talk) 05:43, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Please use edit summaries
[edit]Hi! Everyone appreciates your contributions, but I have to ask, as others have already, that you always add an edit summary when submitting changes. Many of your changes involve adjustments to categories, which can be hard to follow when you don't explain what you're doing. This small effort on your part saves time for many other people. It's also courteous, when someone leaves you a message here on your talk page, to acknowledge what they say, whether you agree with it or not. EEng (talk) 11:04, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Richard Dawkins, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This is particularly important when adding or changing any facts or figures and helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 02:20, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
Cardiovascular disease deaths
[edit]Were you planning on populating all of these new cardiovascular disease deaths in XXX categories, or are you going to leave each one with just one or two articles in it? Good Ol’factory (talk) 09:12, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- Hello? (I noticed you continued to edit after my question, and apparently have continued more under an IP?) I just want an idea of what your idea or goal is with these. Good Ol’factory (talk) 10:56, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- Hi again—same question as before. Are you populating these in some sort of systematic way or just creating them? It would be nice if you could respond. Good Ol’factory (talk) 05:14, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Whoa. This category is going to include a large chunk of the human race. Are we also going to have a category "Married people"? What is your rationale for the existence of this category? Absent some convincing argument, I'm opposed to it. Herostratus (talk) 14:57, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
- At least, this category's purpose is clear and what about categorized people. Must we delete Category:Billionaires, Category:Criminals, Category:Centenarians, Category:Survivors, and Category:Adoptees? Jun Nijo (talk) 16:29, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
The article Keith Springer has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable financial advisor. No notable reference on the subject himself.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Edcolins (talk) 20:29, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
Nomination of Keith Springer for deletion
[edit]A discussion has begun about whether the article Keith Springer, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Keith Springer until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.
You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Edcolins (talk) 11:43, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Tip of the day...
Please summarize your work using the Edit summary box
If you make anything other than a minor edit to an article, it helps others if you fill in the edit summary. Edit summaries are visible in the page history, watchlists, and on Recent changes, so they help other users keep track of what is happening to a page. If you use section editing, the summary box is filled in with the section heading by default (in gray text), which you can follow with more detail. You also can put links to articles in the edit summary. Just put double brackets around [[the article title]] like you would normally. The summary is limited to 255 characters, so many people use common abbreviations, such as sp for correcting spelling mistakes, rm for remove, ce for copy-edit, etc. – – Read more:
