[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I have noticed that some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to 808s & Heartbreak, have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Thank you. Dan56 (talk) 02:00, 29 March 2016 (UTC)

Late Registration
[edit]Don't restore your edit to this article. Commas are an acceptable (and easily understood) way to delineate items in a list, and this is further shown at the WP:ALBUM article style guide (scroll down to the examples). Other items at Late Registration are separated by commas, and articles should be consistency in style internally. Don't change it. Thank you. Dan56 (talk) 08:17, 3 July 2016 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for August 4
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Colour in Anything, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page James Blake. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

License tagging for File:22, A Million cover.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:22, A Million cover.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!
[edit]Hello, Jimmio78. Speedy deletion nomination of All-American Trash
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on All-American Trash requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Album credits
[edit]I wanna ask you about your editing, where do you get your information from these album credits, do you own these albums personally or get it from the album's booklet? TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 17:03, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
- @TheAmazingPeanuts: Usually from albums I own, although often automatically uploaded songs on YouTube "topic" pages contain accurate credits provided by the record label.
- That would make sense as to why you add these credits in album pages, while YouTube isn't classified as an reliable source in Wikipedia standards, we usually add the album's booklet if it available online. It nice to get a response from you about your editing, try to be more responsive to other editors if you get in a edit conflict in the future. Thanks. Speedy deletion nomination of Saturation (Brockhampton album)
[edit]Hello Jimmio78,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Saturation (Brockhampton album) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is significant enough to be included in an encyclopedia, and the artist doesn't have an article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Ways to improve Saturation (Brockhampton album)
[edit]Hi, I'm Domdeparis. Jimmio78, thanks for creating Saturation (Brockhampton album)!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. At the moment this article does not provide sufficient sources to pass WP:NALBUM. there are no reviews of the album on the page. There is 1 page that streams it but has no review and 1 page that simply annonces the release of the album, and the group's own page.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

[edit]Don't make edits like this to articles, I don't know why the hell you remove the producer list and place the producers in the notes. - @TheAmazingPeanuts: The genres I added were actually all sourced directly from the Complex article currently used to source the genres.
- Okay, but do the source explicitly says these are the genres for the album? It's important to adding genres based on sources that explicitly says what genre it is. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 22:50, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hi,
I saw that you made a major edit to this article and while I appreciate the changes, I had to undo it because it did not have any references. [edit]Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Edit summaries
[edit]Please provide edit summaries for the changes you make to articles, particularly those involving your changes to credits. I've seen you reverted at least three times today, and each time you did not provide an edit summary for why you changed what you did. It would be helpful for everybody to know. You also seem not to be aware that credits are often ordered alphabetically and do not have to be in the order the booklet or liner notes place them in. Those can often be arbitrary. Channel Orange personnel section
[edit]There is no mention of a "technical" personnel (whatever that means in the context of album credits), and "additional vocals" are musicians too, yet they are distinguished in your revision as two separate groups; this does not make sense. It does not matter that the booklet does this; common sense should say to do otherwise. Furthermore, a number of the participants hold dual roles, as musicians and--err--as "technical" personnel, the additional programming credit in particular, which you and the booklet list as a "musician" role, when this has more to do with "production". I See You (The xx album)
[edit]Please propose this change on the talk page. It's been the way it is for a while, so I think any upheaval in which cover is preferred is bound to be controversial. I believe your unnecessary "last time I checked" line was posed as if you knew the change was bound to be controversial anyway (and I say "unnecessary" because you weren't in an active dispute with anybody and it was written as if you were). I also find it a pretty weak reason, to be honest. Wikipedia does necessarily preference digital covers just because it itself is hosted online, and I haven't seen this raised anywhere else. [edit]Your recent editing history at Favourite Worst Nightmare shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war.
Glam rock
[edit]Why is it you often do things like this, where only hours before I reverted a user for adding glam rock, which was unsourced, then it seems you intentionally go and find a source? Considering how much information you've added to this article, surely you came across a source that's already mentioned "glam rock", or had heard the term used in regard to the album's sound, but only now you add it? It seems you've pored over much information in regard to the album, but all of a sudden you agree with a user's assertion and find a source to suit it? It seems very deliberate, as if you're going out of your way to contradict what I've said or reverted. You also did this not too long ago at Tell Me How You Really Feel. Two promotional songs were continuously added to the infobox, I removed them (one of the many times I did), then it seem you deliberately go out and find sources using the term "single". Honestly. Ss112 12:56, 24 May 2018 (UTC)
- While we've certainly had our disagreements, I respect your contributions to Wikipedia, and have never intentionally tried to undermine you personally. In this case, I saw another user add the glam rock genre, and considered reverting it, but realised that I had seen various sources refer to multiple sections of the album as glam rock, and decided to instead find a better source. By the time I had done so you had reverted the genre (as you should have; it was not yet sourced). This was simply bad timing. With Tell Me How You Really Feel I had seen the hidden text in the singles section, but had no idea what user added it. I had seen sources refer to all four songs as singles, and thus corrected the article. I can assure you that I have no personal vendetta against you as an editor; we simply happen to sometimes have differing perspectives. Jimmio78 (talk) 22:09, 24 May 2018 (UTC)
Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 18:26, 24 May 2018 (UTC)
Kanye West

You blatantly removed additional lyricist credit and incorrectly edited samples, then attacked the credibility of such in the comments, despite your lack of knowledge for the creative process and input that went into the WY sessions. Not only was I involved in a creative capacity, but I was invited to the listening parties as well. Use less bias and more reasoning when doing your research.AdamWolpert1 (talk) 10:23, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, of course I removed the credit! You are repeatedly adding YOUR OWN name with NO reliable source. How am I the biased one here? If your claims were credible, you'd include the countless sources you keep mentioning in your edit summaries. This is getting to the point where I don't even know what you're trying to achieve. Jimmio78: I am independent singer/songwriter Adam Wolpert’s representative and manager. My client was recently made aware that an account had been created under his name mimicking his personal profile and likeness. The claims above are false and not a representation of my client’s wishes, but he is currently associated with the G.O.O.D. Music team and was in fact involved with three of the albums which were worked on in Wyoming. While he assisted in sound engineering and writing, both of which have been confirmed, he is not currently published hence the absence of accreditation from the label. Myself nor my client wish for his name to be wrongfully associated with the page of subject and regret that someone has taken it upon themselves to do so. My client offered up additional information for myself to edit the release page of KTSE to reflect missing samples and correct any wrongful accreditation which may have occurred, though it appears a majority of this was settled by yourself and we thank you for this. If such an issue arises again or my client’s name is used by the account above, please email me at adamwolpert1music@gmail.com (and my client at a2wolpert@gmail.com). I have gone over the Plain and simple conflict of interest guide with my client as well. Thank you for your assistance and continued monitoring of these pages. Cheers. Kids See Ghosts (album)
[edit]Hi there, I can't tell if your edit summary comments at Kids See Ghosts (album) were directed at me, but I wanted to clarify my edits there. I don't care whether that paragraph goes or stays, and I agree, it's totally vague, subjective language. My repeatedly restoring that content was based on the fact that it was being removed by IPs who provided incorrect edit summaries, saying that the content was unsourced (maybe the sources suck, but they're there), and that they were restoring content, when they'd actually removed it. That, plus the IPs' actions resulting in broken formatting at least once, made me assume what was going on was vandalism, which is why I undid it repeatedly. Your edit summary is the first I'd seen that made it seem as if that paragraph did actually need removing. Anyway, as I say, I don't care one way or the other, just wanted to make it clear I wasn't edit warring, at least not intentionally. Thanks! Jessicapierce (talk) 19:32, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

- Sorry about that. No idea what happened. I was just trying to add a "citation needed" tag to one of the genres and somehow I must have reverted the rest of the article to an earlier version without noticing. Jimmio78 (talk) 11:49, 31 July 2018 (UTC)
Personnel
[edit]Hey. You once said that composition/songwriting credits do not belong to the personnel section per MOS:ALBUM. Could you show me which part does it say that because I couldn't find it. Thanks. Hayman30 (talk) 12:37, 1 September 2018 (UTC)
- Here you go: "If citing from AllMusic, do not include "composer" credits. The "composer" field on AllMusic is merely a reiteration of the songwriters included on the album, so including it is redundant to the songwriter credits in the track listing." While this is specifically referring to information copied from AllMusic, it holds true that the songwriters are listed above regardless. Jimmio78 (talk) 12:48, 1 September 2018 (UTC)
- Yea I was wondering because that part specifically talks about AllMusic, thanks for clearing it up. Hayman30 (talk) 18:01, 1 September 2018 (UTC)

The amount of times I've seen you be reverted by either myself or another user on an article and then because you believe you're right or your changes to be correct, you go back and restore your changes...please stop doing this. Again, it's WP:BRD. If you disagree with your change being reverted, you discuss it. On the article talk page. If you think it would be silly to start a discussion over such a small difference, then perhaps it's not worth restoring to the article either. Besides, there is nothing explicitly forbidding linking fragments of song titles to things other than the song itself, especially if it's a term some readers may not be familiar with. Also, the fact that you even suggested the song may be referencing Goya Foods tropical soda is so ridiculous I actually laughed out loud when I read it. It's like you think Letissier is the type of artist to come out with a song named after an unimportant drink in a country she's not even from and/or didn't even listen to the album whose article you're extensively editing. I wouldn't expect any editor to have read every interview or piece of writing about an album, but Letissier explicitly explained what the song was about. In future, if you're reverted, leave it or discuss it. Pretty simple. You can respond if you like but there's need to tag me in it, I'm not interested in an argument. You may be aware of it, but you should start following it. Thanks. Ss112 13:17, 22 September 2018 (UTC)
- I wasn't disputing that the track was in reference to the painter. I just didn't think it was ridiculous to suggest that the "soda" in the title might also be alluding to that. It's not a brand I'm familiar with (I just googled "Goya Soda" to see if I could find any more info on the song) so I didn't know if it was American or European or where it was from. And honestly I think Letissier is a type of artist that would really write about anything, from tacky American sodas to Spanish romantic painters. Glad I could give you a laugh though. And sorry about the WP:BRD Jimmio78 (talk) 23:58, 22 September 2018 (UTC)
- Also, you've put on Chris (album) that the English titles are in sentence case...but they're not. Sentence case is what I'm writing in right now. They're in title case. Ss112 04:51, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
- But on streaming services and album packaging they’re stylised in this case? Jimmio78 (talk) 05:35, 23 September 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Your recent editing history at Bond 25 shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war.
The purpose of the talk page is to discuss issues relating to content and resolve debates by forming a consensus. While I understand your comments about the sources, I feel that updating the infobox to reflect them risks contradicting the rest of the article as the body article details the production process at length. Given the number of rewrites the film has gone through and its somewhat chaotic pre-production process, the claim that Purvis and Wade wrote the script needs more evidence. All we can say for certain is that Burns and Waller-Bridge wrote the most-recent versions of the script because this is what the majority of third-party sources say. There is no evidence that anything Purvis and Wade wrote is in the final script beyond what a self-published source says. Mclarenfan17 (talk) 04:48, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
- @Mclarenfan17: I discussed the issue on the talk page to attempt to reach a consensus, with only one editor joining the discussion (supporting me). While I agree this is not a consensus, so far there hasn't been a single editor who has agreed with your perspective on this matter, and yet you insist on reverting back to your preferred version of the article. Jimmio78 (talk) 04:53, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
- It is not "my preferred version". It is the version supported by the majority of third-party sources. Your reliance on the official press release amounts to a self-published source. Mclarenfan17 (talk) 05:04, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
- But your whole "SGA" argument relies on what is going to be the "official" guild-approved credit, something that will be sourced from a first-party-source. Once again you're contradicting yourself. Would a billing block be a self-published source? Are you saying that a billing block is unreliable? The article is meant to present the OFFICIAL credits, and just for the credits, first-party sources are totally acceptable. If not, here are some third-party sources that include the same information.[1][2] Not to mention that your third-party sources don't even support your argument, and if so it is in a way so implicit that it is not useable as a source. How do multiple sources explicitly saying the film was written by Purvis, Wade, Burns, Fukunaga & Waller-Bridge get trumped by your vaguely inferred esoteric idea that Purvis & Wade might not be credited? Jimmio78 (talk) 05:19, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
- Both of those sources are clearly derived from the press release, since the wider media were not invited the announcement event. Neither source satisfies my request either. If P&W are to indeed be credited as screenwriters, then something that they wrote must be in the final version of the script. Can you demonstrate this? Mclarenfan17 (talk) 05:26, 5 May 2019 (UTC)

DYK for Folklore (Taylor Swift album)
[edit]On 20 September 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Folklore (Taylor Swift album), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that William Bowery, who co-wrote two songs on Taylor Swift's album Folklore, appeared to have no online presence, and is possibly a pseudonym? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Folklore (Taylor Swift album). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Folklore (Taylor Swift album)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
