Hello Jim,

I just saw that you removed the link to my web page for my cootie catcher app from the "[fortune teller]". Please reconsider adding it back because I think users of this page would like to know about my Cootie Catcher App just as much as the other external links.

Thanks, Mike Hempfling

```` — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.226.86.135 (talk) 19:53, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
I think the link to my Cootie Catcher app has just as much relevance as the other links. Both other links ultimately are to hopefully make money off of the user. The momsminivan.com web site is making money from ads on the site and the pbskids.org is trying to raise brand awareness for Arthur so they can sell all their brand items or get you to another part of their site to sell something else. Please reconsider.
Thanks, Mike 98.226.86.135 (talk) 00:08, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
Both the other links have direct relevance to and support the article. While the "how to make" does have ads (though not pushing product of its own that I can see) and is perhaps questionable, the PBS is not. If you feel the app is significant, I would suggest writing an article. Again, if I were to restore it, someone else would undo it. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 00:16, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
Hello!
Hello Jim,
Thanks for contacting!
Well, I'm new to this, and I was trying to create a disambiguation page on Autodigest. I thought I had followed the directions but it did go terribly wrong... Then I was just trying to get it back to how it was and figure out how to do it properly.
Could you help me with this? I'm trying to edit the article on Crónica Electrónica. I copied it to my sandbox to have a go at it before I send it live.
However, I noticed that there were some links that were linking to a similar but different thing (namely Autodigest). So I thought I'd start there and create disambiguation pages. Only it was harder than I thought.
Thank you!
Hi
Hi, are you the owner of Wikipedia? I do not believe that the information according to his birth date is correct. This site is not a reliable trustworthy source, honestly. I find it impossible for Cole Swindell to be 30, unless you have supporting evidence. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Saira b78 (talkcontribs) 02:10, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
Your Uncle Dodge seems to think he is thirty as well. here. If you have a wp:rs that states he is not 30, then feel free to to change it. With citations, of course. If you find RS that nobody has the answer, then maybe his birthday should be removed. However, please don't change his birthday to your best guess. BTW: do you expect enhanced cooperation from your first sentence? Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 02:18, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
I feel as his birthday should be removed, then. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Saira b78 (talkcontribs) 02:34, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
"Enhanced cooperation"... What do you mean? I asked if you're the owner. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Saira b78 (talkcontribs) 02:38, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
Before removing the information, I would suggest posting a proposal on talk:Cole Swindell. Other people might know of a source for his real age and then the correct information can be added to the article. Or, you might get agreement on the uncertainty and more support for removal. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 02:52, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
As far as I can tell, there is no good public source, but I can assure you he was not born in 1989. The would mean he graduated college at 18. At this point, it seems best to leave the birthday information blank, at least the year. The correct birthdate is June 30, 1983, but I think that only the June 30 bit is publicly supported and that information comes only from Cole's Twitter feed. 128.205.172.109 (talk) 18:16, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
upload the display picture of Govinda(actor)
hi dear, it is my humble request for you to Please upload the display picture of Govinda(actor) on Wikipedia (Link is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Govinda_%28actor%29). I have uploaded it so many times but every time some issue occurs regarding license or copyright. I don't know how to fix it or upload image successfully. You can find best pictures of Govinda here
So it would be much better if you upload either the pictures whose link i have given above of Govinda without any licensing/copyright issue or upload any best picture of Govinda Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amanraj6 (talkcontribs) 20:32, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
That appears to be a copyrighted image. Permission from the copyright holder would need to be communicated to Wikipedia before it could be uploaded. Perhaps you could ask Govinda for a public domain photo? (Permission would also need to be communicated to Wikipedia). So, I don't have permission to upload it. Best of luck. Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential
Dear Jim,
Thanks you for your comments regarding my updates related to The Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential. I must admit that as a new user on Wikipedia, I am still figuring things out. I am not related to The Institutes. I am an independent physician who has seen first hand the great results of their programs. I fully appreciate your point on neutrality. However, if you read the article, much of it is not written in a neutral tone, rather with high negative bias. If you do a simple Google search about The Institutes, you will find that 80% of the views out there (blogs etc) are highly positive. Given this case, it does not seem neutral that 80% of the Wikipedia entry is negative. Can you please suggest how best to edit this article to represent a more balanced point of view? I attempted to start to do this with at least adding a small section called, "Response to Criticism." I have now cited The In-Report journal as the source. Is this sufficient?
Saturn Awards page
This is starting to get frustrating, I'm not some good faith bumbling idiot, the newer page, despite having a great bunch of templates, and more information, lists COMPLETELY the wrong actresses. If you want to go through and write a new good looking page that lists the correct winners and nominees then please go ahead. If you however, like me, lack the time or inclination to do so then I suggest you revert this edit tagged as "unexplained content removal" and perhaps read the edit summaries of revisions you revert in future, before labelling them as unexplained.
Thomas John Barnardo: alternative text
Hello Jim1138. I can supply some background to the text removed with this edit. I included it when I inserted the infobox years ago. It was my attempt to provide useful information for visually impaired readers, without merely duplicating the caption, and based on my understanding of WP:ALT at the time. What constitutes good alt text is certainly up for discussion, so I'd welcome any improvement to my initial effort. Please would you consider editing it rather than removing it, as the alt text is important for some readers? Thanks. – Wdchk (talk) 13:43, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
Undone. Thanks for letting me know. May I suggest adding a comment: something like <!--FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED-->? It might prevent other edits from disappearing. Cheers! Jim1138 (talk) 13:49, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for your prompt response. I'll certainly consider your suggestion of adding a comment, and I can see how it would be helpful. A possible concern, though, is it might be perceived by other editors as a departure from normal infobox practice. It's a bigger thing than just you and me and this one infobox. Let me think about it. Cheers. – Wdchk (talk) 14:03, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
I've added lots of comments and never had any complaints. Shall I add one with Thomas John Barnardo? Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 14:05, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
Ref: Roizman
Hi Jim1138
I made an attempt to contact the site management but it seems that language barrier is the problem and I did something not right I would lому to know what is the procedure of submitting information on Wikipedia. It seems that there is no rules and anyone can publish anything they want. I just found the incorrect information and wanted to replace it with the correct one. Also I inserted the links of articles which prove that info I submitted is correct. It will be very disappointing if Wikipedia allows anyone publish false information
Thank you
Dear Sir / Madam,
I have removed some information about Mr Roizman since it contained false accusations that may damage his reputation. The fact that he belongs to Russian oppisition groups and "known as a campaigner against corrupt police, illegal drug sellers and for drug rehab centers. working under the huge pressure" makes him uncomfortable for Government officials. During the Mayor election campain in July-September 2013 he was working under an enormous pressure when officials using mass media tried to create the image of him as a mafia boss accused in kidnapping, drug dealing, etc. , in order to prevent his election. The TV report you mentioned was a part of the dirty campain. At the moment Yevgeny filed the lawsuite against the creators of the TV report. Unfortunately for them, the majority of the Yekaterinburg population knows Yevgeny as a Phd in History, a member of "Union of writers". He set the "Nevyansk icon museum" with free admission. He's opened several rehab centers for drug addicts and never asked for and never been granted any money from the Government. He is a Mayor of people and that was the reason why he won the election. Here are some links which might be helpful to visualise a real Roizman http://www.themoscowtimes.com/opinion/article/how-yevgeny-roizman-became-mayor/486235.html http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/sep/13/new-mayor-russia-fourth-largest-city-not-putins-opposition http://www.rferl.org/content/russia-yekaterinburg-mayor-roizman/25100514.html
Thank you very much.
Thanks for noticing the vandalism to my user page and reverting it - again. This vandalism is somewhat puzzling since I did not revert an edit from that IP address. Most logically, I suppose, we might surmise that this IP has edited from another computer or has a dynamic IP - and has some grudge from previous reversions. I would not be surprised if the previous vandalism was quite recent. I reverted a vandalism that inserted some generic gallery images earlier this morning. That was one of the types of vandalism here. Donner60 (talk) 05:47, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
Hello Jim1138 I don't agree with your opinion of my editing of the Anthroposophical Medicine page, with whom can I seek further counsel? Margaret Sanger Award
The abortion issue must not be made more-difficult by disingenuous and obfuscatory language. There are two common phrases used to describe the proponents of the majority of the issue's advocates: "pro-life" and "pro-choice." "Pro-life" is generally a more-coherent term than "pro-choice." The former generally believe that 98% plus abortions are wrong while at the same time (in the majority of cases for evangelical Protestants but not Roman Catholics) some might say, hypocritically supporting the death penalty. Using the same metric, one cannot justify the term "pro-choice" when describing followers of Margaret Sanger and Planned Parenthood. "Choice" implies a state of near-indifference; a position wherein no outcome is really to be preferred. But that is not the case. Planned Parenthood is America's largest abortion provider with fewer than one adoption referral for every hundred abortion referrals. Planned Parenthood is just as much in the abortion business as the Pope is in the religion business -- and the Pope is clearly Pro Life in every sense of the phrase. And I say this as an evangelical Protestant. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.111.87.246 (talk) 22:29, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
Non-civil
There is nothing "non-civil" about my comments. The editors on this page are clearly white supremicist who have no intention of allowing the TRUTH about who the Moors really were be known to people who live in the United States. Everyone here in Europe knows that the original Moors were of the Black race and currently the article does not paint this picture at all. All pictures in addition to the text specifically excludes any reference to the Black Race. Please see below the same exact reference that other editors have cited however its a different portion of the book so why would you allows the inclusion of this resource for their information and not for mine. It is clear that racism is at work with your suggested edits. http://shazereverquar.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/4-golden-age-of-the-moor.pdf Pages 3 and 4 clearly outline this racial "myth" which is highly controversial amongst the Black North Africans like myself. If Wikipedia is supposed to an objective encyclopedia then it need to inform people of both perspectives , the scientific one versus the scientific racism version. This is also been proven true by the way that the Hamitic people are reflected in Wikipedia. Refer to that article as it clearly uses the words " scientific racism" and states that this is not proven theory. This is the type of language I am trying to insert in this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Truth777333 (talkcontribs) 10:51, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
Calling an editor a racist is a personal attack Jim1138 (talk) 11:09, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
Hello. You have quite rightly asked for a source for my edit to moksha. I wondered if the Oxford Dictionary of World Religions would do? There it is defined as "The fourth and ultimate artha (goal) of Hinduism" (page 650). Moksha is also present as a concept in Buddhism. For example, the monastic code in Buddhism is called pratimoksha meaning 'towards moksha', moksha being conceived as the end of the Buddhist path too. Perhaps you would be kind enough to let me know before I add the source and revert. Many thanks. 81.106.127.14 (talk) 07:43, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
I would think Oxford would be wp:RS and I would be satisfied (hopefully others would be as well). Do you need any assitance in creating a citation? Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 07:52, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
I have my questions with "The Oxford". Frankly, you've been using that source so amny times; why don't you try to look a little bit further? This being said, it sounds quite correct what you're mentiioning here regarding Hinduism. Regarding Buddhism, "moksha" is not the common terminology in Buddhism, though I do understand your logic. "Nirvana" seems to be the common term. I did a little Google-search, and came across this quote:
"The Buddhist concept of nirvana is subtly different from the Upanishadic concept of moksha." (Sugata Bose, Ayesha Jalal (2004), Modern South Asia: History, Culture, Political Economy, Taylor & Francis)
Unfortunately, there is no copy of the book available at Google books, so I can't check the context of this quote. But it gives an indication, I think. Best regards, Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 10:16, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
Your cited source is by two political historians with no expertise in Indian religion. But you must yourself know that the code for monastics in Buddhism is called the pratimoksha. It means 'that which leads towards liberation'. Nirvana is the quality of mind possessed by one who has attained moksha. It is unconditioned (asankhata) consciousness because it is free from sankharas or sanskaras as they are called in Hinduism. There is no difference between the moksha of Jainism, Hinduism or Buddhism - with all three you have taken away the causes for incarnation into a material realm and you have attained nirvana - a description of the pristine, purified mind used in all three traditions. As for 'The Oxford' as you call it, it was written by leading international scholars - in this particular instance Gavin Flood. 81.106.127.14 (talk) 12:20, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
Email Question
Hey Jim, thanks for posting a link to admin to remove my logged out IP edit. You mentioned you would have emailed me if I had one linked. How do I do that? Thanks a bunch. Chrismfrench (talk) 06:02, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
