[edit]Hello, I'm Arjayay. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the main body of University of Ilorin. Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines. Links within the body of an article should be internal Wikilinks. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 09:35, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Cornelius Adebayo. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Please stop inserting external links in the body of articles (see WP:ELPOINTS) and stop overlinking common words (see MOS:OVERLINK), thank you! Felida97 (talk) 10:34, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours has an edit summary that appears to be inadequate, inaccurate, or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Thank you. Felida97 (talk) 10:42, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Jessephu! Your additions to Omu-Aran have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 17:34, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for July 8
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Gani Fawehinmi, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ondo. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:01, 8 July 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Your edit to Climate change in Nigeria has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. — Diannaa (talk) 22:18, 16 September 2023 (UTC)

CS1 error on Secure the Base
[edit]Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Secure the Base, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:
- A bare URL error. References show this error when one of the URL-containing parameters cannot be paired with an associated title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)
Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 13:09, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
Hello
[edit]Hi @Jessephu & thanks for creating Secure the Base. However, your additions to the article seems vaguely collected from a source and some of the highlights didn't necessarily needs input to the article.
While I saw the article in reviewing, I will help clear some error and format the article per MOS:ORDER. Another thing, please calm down—so many source aren't verifiable, while others looks like copied content—though I will correct them. Once more, regards and hurray! Safari ScribeEdits! Book articles
[edit]Hi, I've looked at a few of your created articles (Of Africa, A Play of Giants and Secure the Base) and I noticed that they seem to include some less than encyclopedia language. Please avoid phrases/words like "He fearlessly confronts complex topics" and "Soyinka's profound examination". Additionally, please don't use Goodreads as a source (you can add it as an external link instead) and avoid linking to external sites in the body. Thanks! ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 01:07, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
- Additionally, please ensure what you are citing actually supports what is being written. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 00:49, 6 May 2024 (UTC)

- Hi Jessephu, I've copyedited the lead for Harry Sylvester Bird after noticing some similar issues. Sounds like an interesting book, thanks for the article. Although, please do be careful about opinionated and non-neutral language as said above, you might find Help:Introduction to policies and guidelines/neutrality quiz fun/helpful for it. Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Novel set on corruption
[edit]A tag has been placed on Category:Novel set on corruption indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 04:17, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
Harvest of Corruption moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Harvest of Corruption. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Ratnahastin (talk) 11:19, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
Mary Amaechi moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Mary Amaechi. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and notability is certainly not established. She is a lecturer with no heavily cited work. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. BoyTheKingCanDance (talk) 13:42, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
