WikiProject Mixed martial arts article improvement drive
[edit]Wikipedia:WikiProject Mixed martial arts is now taking suggestions for the new MMA article improvement drive! Please add your input to decide what our first collaboration should be. VegaDark 21:44, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article 3K Battery, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Redirect of George Levingne
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on George Levingne, by CultureDrone (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because George Levingne is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting George Levingne, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate George Levingne itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 12:07, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
Living People category
[edit]Howdy! Using [Category:Living people|Living people] forces the person to be listed in the "Living ....." area of the category. In other words, the name will not sort properly. I have fixed several of these with DEFAULSORT and removing the second parameter. Thanks! Schmiteye 06:23, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
Louis Salica
[edit]Hi, I thought I'd ask you since you started the article and you're part of Wikiproject:Boxing. Going through the SSDI, I found this entry for a Louis Salica, born and died in Brooklyn, but with a date of birth off by about a year:
Since he's listed as only "possibly living" in the article, I was wondering if you knew anything more? How reliable is the birth date in the article (I notice that it's the same in all of his player profiles, but could that be fudged?) Is he definitely still alive? Could this be him? Just wondering if you knew. Canadian Paul 22:12, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

I see, that you created a page about Léonard Steyaert and provided his date of birth. Can you give me a source, where did you find his date of birth. Thanks! Gh (talk) 08:45, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Hi, I've added a reference for DOB on the page. Jackboogie (talk) 11:21, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- But I can't find his date of birth from BoxRec.com. Gh (talk) 13:21, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- Interesting. I thought that I checked it before writing you, thats strange. I've removed the DOB from the page until I can find a reference, as the Olympic DB doesn't have his DOB either. Thanks for pointing that out. Jackboogie (talk) 14:55, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- I asked User:Doma-w if they had a source. Cheers, CP 15:39, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Samuel Kotey, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to a nonexistent page.
If you can fix this redirect to point to an existing Wikipedia page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you also fix the redirect. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Notability of Cedric Boswell
[edit]A tag has been placed on TakeOut Comedy Club of Hong Kong requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Gchuva (talk) 08:55, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Eddie Chambers (artist), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.eddiechambers.com. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

List of super-featherweight boxing champions
[edit]Hi Jackboogie,
I notice you made the following edit to the article entitled 'List of super-featherweight boxing champions':
The edit says that Frankie Klick was replaced by Barney Ross as World Super-Featherweight Champion on 1935-01-28.
Are you absolutely sure about that?
Barney Ross defended the World Light-Welterweight title (a.k.a. World Junior-Welterweight title) against Frankie Klick on both 1934-03-05 and 1935-01-28. The first fight ended in a draw and the second fight was won by Ross.
In both of those fights, however, I wasn't aware that Frankie Klick was defending the World Super-Featherweight title (a.k.a. World Junior-Lightweight title) that he won on 1933-12-25 against defending champion Kid Chocolate.
All the best,
