RE:Tropical Storm Celia (2022) draft

[edit]

IrishSurfer21: Regarding the draft you've created for Tropical Storm Celia, given the circumstances—remained at sea throughout with only one death and little documented impact associated specifically with Celia—I think that the best way to present Celia-2022 to readers is not through a separate article, but in the season article: 2022 Pacific hurricane season#Tropical Storm Celia. I think that the draft should be redirected there.(WP:NOPAGE) That said, I've a thought, if I may, given the interrelated impacts of various tropical systems in Central America, including Celia, over the past several weeks, you might consider creating an article on June 2022 Central America flooding. The flooding as a whole has certainly been impactful and seems like a worthwhile topic for an article. Take care and happy editing. Drdpw (talk) 02:02, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Reminder to check for drafts

[edit]

Hey IrishSurfer21. I wanted to send a quick reminder to check for draft versions of an article when you are creating a new article. For the case of Tropical Storm Colin (2022), there was a draft that was started a few hours before you created the article (removing the redirect/creation). It was no problem this time to just redirect the draft to the mainspace, but sometimes, a draft version can contain more information than what is being created in the mainspace, which can lead to confusion between editors. Hope that makes sense as to why checking for draft versions is important. Have a good day and keep up the good editing! Elijahandskip (talk) 19:48, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

RE:User:IrishSurfer21/PTC2

[edit]

IrishSurfer21/PTC2: I have reverted the redirect you created for "User:IrishSurfer21/PTC2" to the 2022 AHS article. As the pages is in "user" namespace and as "User:IrishSurfer21/PTC2" is unlikelhy to be a go-to search term for someone looking for Tropical Storm/Hurricane Bonnie (2022), it probably would be better to treat the page like a draft and request a speedy delete. If, however, the page is to be left as a redirect, please delete all content from the page first, except the #REDIRECT details of course. Cheers. Drdpw (talk) 22:52, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This page cannot be deleted as per Wikipedia's copyright attribution policies as HurricaneEdgar copied information from this page to Tropical Storm Bonnie's main article. Thus, why I could only redirect it instead of requesting it for deletion.IrishSurfer21 (talk) 23:23, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

On 2 September 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Tropical Storm Chris (2024), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Tropical Storm Chris (pictured) in July 2024 overflowed bodies of water in Ciudad Madero, Mexico, resulting in a crocodile sighting at a beach? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Tropical Storm Chris (2024). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Tropical Storm Chris (2024)), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Hurricane Kirk

[edit]

Hello IrishSurfer, hope all is well. I noticed that you believe Kirk deserves an article, and I agree as well. There is a draft that I've been working on. It was previously made with AI but I was able to fix it up, but by copying some from the Windstorm Season. I was just letting you know that there is a draft and I thought you may be interested in fixing it and expanding it.

Regards, Shmego2 (talk) 23:28, 9 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I am aware of the draft which I was originally against but I’ve changed my views on that because of the European impact. I will surely help to expand it, especially in the coming days as more mews surfaces about how bad this storm really was.IrishSurfer21 (talk) 00:09, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to bother again, but would you help with the draft on Tropical Storm Nadine? I'm struggling to find enough information to fill sections, and I'm hoping you could contribute. Shmego2 (talk) 20:16, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I may be able to contribute but it seems like Nadine isn’t really notable enough for an article, it was a very compact tropical system that doesn’t seem to have caused much damage. If anything I would wait until ReliefWeb begins posting updates to fill in sections.IrishSurfer21 (talk) 20:51, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
