• @IanDBeacon Always listen to warnings from admins. If you really want to do behind-the-scene things, I suggest staying away from Administrator Incident Noticeboard, SPI related things, attempting to fix any pages that are marked with speedy deletion. So simple behind-the-scene things you should do instead. I was going to suggest fixing redlinks and removing unassociated contents related to the main idea of the template, but it looks like you've had problems with templates in the past. Another option for you is, fixing references that are causing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:CS1_errors:_external_links or other types of CS1 errors. The CS1 error type that is linked, is one of the easiest ones to fix. It will be a good start for you. To find pages that have these errors click on the link. But please read what ever it says on the page about how this error happens, and what is CS1 and CS2 before doing anything. SPI

Hi IanDBeacon. I thought that this SPI was unnecessary. The accounts were clearly only created to harass Wikipedia administrators (just look at their usernames), and opening an SPI in this case basically created a shrine that gives needless recognition to the vandal, which is actually counterproductive. Please be mindful of this in the future, as unfortunately, you may be blocked again if this recurs.

Basically, if it is absolutely clear that an account needs to be blocked for problematic behavior (e.g. clear vandalism/harassment/attacks), nine times out of ten, you don't need to file an SPI even if you also suspect that the accounts are sockpuppets. Just send them to WP:AIV. The accounts are already blocked, anyway, which is pretty much the strongest recourse we can administer at SPI, so the administrative benefit to an SPI is marginal at best. Thanks. I'm sure you are trying to help, but by overzealously enforcing what you (incorrectly) view as the rules of Wikipedia, it creates a climate where good faith contributors don't want to contribute. It also takes away time that I could be spending on RL work or other work on-wiki having to decline the AIV requests and talk to you about it. For info with IPv6 - take the first four parts 2600:1:9c39:d8c5 and add ::/64 to get Special:Contributions/2600:1:9C39:D8C5::/64 - wiki will expand that for you to Special:Contributions/2600:1:9C39:D8C5:0:0:0:0/64. Note that I've reverted your edits to User talk:184.56.47.51. There was no need to make this change as the tag was added by the IP themselves, you added a dynamic IP tag to an IP that has proven to be anything but dynamic, and you're doing all of this several months after the last edit by the IP. This is just busy work with no tangible benefit to the encyclopedia. Those might include newspaper or magazine articles by professional travel journalists, or books about Disney theme parks by authors unconnected with Disney. The article in its current form is at risk of being deleted because the referencing is so poor. Re: LTA report

Hey. Sorry it took me a minute to get around to it, but I wanted to explain the deletion briefly. That case has a lot of stuff going on that is private. The case page was largely inaccurate, and in any event, the CU team is very aware of that sockmaster. An LTA report isn't likely to help us track them in any meaningful way. The LTA thrives on recognition, previously trying to create that page twice, so I think keeping it in existence is highly likely to increase their activity. Crosswiki grief

I see that you are getting some xwiki grief. If it is becoming problematic for your user and user talk pages, then please let me know, as I have global filter that can reduce some of that grief on the small wikis, which just means that we have to actively manage the large wikis. If they start to cause other problems on other small wikis, then we can escalate defences, maybe with a combination of title blacklist and whitelist mods. I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on Draft:Eric M. Patashnik. I do not think that Draft:Eric M. Patashnik fits any of the speedy deletion criteria  because Not promotional at the g11 level; Was edited by a human editor recently (within last 48 hours) so G13 does not apply.. Just curious, I noticed from AIV a user was questioning this, frankly this looks to me like standard unexplained content removal, and I warned the user twice, but apparently you disagree. @ToBeFree: to be free, sorry to bother you, User:Scrubglory1 continues to be unresponsive. I don't have anything against them. I warned about unexplained content removal a few times, all I really want is an explanation for the action I don't care about the article either way. Wikipedia:LTA/NS

Hi Ian, I've notice a pattern of you accusing various IP's/users of being Nate Speed simply because they edit his target pages. We're both familiar with Nate's style, and 97.124.217.78 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) clearly isn't him. I also believe 184.98.179.61 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) isn't him either. Nate Speed isn't going to be the only unregistered editor interested in film distribution articles and the like. The fact that you suspect these editors might possibly be Nate isn't a good enough reason to be reporting them and reverting their edits. You're going to need better evidence other than "it's an IP editing some NS target pages". Now, if the IP's are adding unsourced content, incorrect information, etc. then feel free to revert, but don't call them Nate Speed socks when clearly they aren't. If it's an obvious NS IP, shouting in the edit summaries or threatening you, then go ahead and report straight to AIV. But I think were not always dealing with the same person here. The Wall

Hi, I don't understand this revert. The long standing version had UPI as the distributor (they were in fact the UK distributor). The recent LTA vandal changed it to MGM, which was the US distributor. I restored UPI as the UK distributor, and also added MGM, with sources for both distributors. You have now restored to the LTA's version, listing only MGM, without the UK distributor UPI, and without any sources. Did you make a mistake or am I misunderstanding something?
