S201050066 video
[edit]Hi Tenryuu, User:S201050066/Dylan shared a YouTube video dating back to August 2022 giving his side of the story about being banned from Wikipedia. In the video, he claims he was bullied by you and other Wikipedia users over the Ontario content. He even chronicles his block evasion and sock puppeting attempts following the April ban. What's interested is that his brother, who can be heard in the background towards the end of the two hour video, thinks Dylan is in the wrong and was rightfully banned for being a nuisance on Wikipedia. I thought I will let you know about this video just to get an understanding of what motivates S201050066's block evasion actions. Take care and have a good week. Andykatib (talk) 21:39, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Andykatib, thanks for sending me the link. While it has been interesting to see how S201050066 has been taking his block, I still don't really care what he thinks about me, as he refuses to come to terms with how his behaviour's been. —Tenryuu 🐲 ( 💬 • 📝 ) 23:55, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Tenryuu, you're welcome. It amazes me how S201050066 has not changed his attitude towards Wikipedia for the past two years. Not a hint of remorse from him. He sees himself as a victim and is trapped in a prison of his own making. Andykatib (talk) 07:39, 16 April 2024 (UTC)

ANI blanking IP
[edit]I'm suspecting the IP that just blanked the entire ANI leaving a wikihounding report left is some sort of a sock, as it's rare for an IP, even vandalism-only IPs to suddenly vandalize the ANI without any warning notifying them of such discussions. ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 14:32, 4 July 2024 (UTC) Oh well. That was quick, the IP got 48hr blocked. ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 14:35, 4 July 2024 (UTC)

content reverting
[edit]Hi there i can see you recently reverted my editing, i have never edited a wikipedia page before i am unsure what went wrong? Thanks SharYX (talk) 02:55, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- @SharYX: Hi there; if this is about Training and development, it was most likely an edit conflict from when I was copyediting. I have to ask; are you using ChatGPT or a similar large-language model? The language sounds like it comes from one, and while it hasn't been turned into a policy yet, we highly discourage its use when writing new content into articles. —Tenryuu 🐲 ( 💬 • 📝 ) 03:10, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, thank you for this. The wikipedia editing is part of our university assignment that required us to improve the correctness and comprehensiveness of the current wiki articles based on our understanding of public sector human resource management. The content on training methods in hybrid working model is entirely my own original work, based on heaps of reading and research. The only thing is that I used Grammarly to ensure that everything was grammatically perfect. I am keen to know what improvements I can make for it to be approved. Cheers SharYX (talk) 03:29, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- @SharYX: Is your course part of the WikiEd program? I ask this because Wikipedia has policies on top of policies, not to mention an extremely comprehensive manual of style that students are likely to breach, and I'd hope your instructor is cognisant of the aforementioned and many of the hurdles their students may face, such as the need to abandon conventional university essay writing; Wikipedia has a strict no original research policy, which includes synthesising any conclusions one may draw from their reading, as your mention of

implies. The main point I'm making here is editors are expected to not editorialise or persuade the article's readers into thinking a certain way about the subject; they are to primarily use secondary sources that are considered reliable (and primary sources secondarily where it would enrich article content), and only report on what those sources say.I strongly suggest recommending the WikiEd program (first link in this comment) to your instructor if they aren't in it already, as they would be working with experts who have collaborated with students of various ages in previous years. —Tenryuu 🐲 ( 💬 • 📝 ) 03:48, 23 September 2024 (UTC)- No it is not. I understand the policy and agree with the rationale. I will have a chat with my classmates and lecturer. Can we get back to this? :) appreciate your guidance SharYX (talk) 03:54, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- Of course. Wikipedia primarily operates on a "there are no deadlines" mindset. —Tenryuu 🐲 ( 💬 • 📝 ) 04:02, 23 September 2024 (UTC)

Does it look like I’m treating Wikipedia like a social network? No, so stop assuming. Everyone there are nothing to me, I’m not associating with those “haha im such a silly billy meow meow !!!! :33” 13 year olds that are running rampant on social media. 2603:8001:C2F0:7D0:A8A5:BCAF:5476:2D2 (talk) 05:03, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
- As your main goal is to talk with people, you clearly want Wikipedia to function as a social network. I will be going to the ANI report that was started on you to decide on what sanctions are appropriate for you. —Tenryuu 🐲 ( 💬 • 📝 ) 06:31, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
