I recently had a discussion about bumiputeras with an Indonesian guy. So maybe I am bit over sensitive with Malays now, but looking at your contribution incl allegations of Tamil nationalism targeting non-Tamil writers only, it's pretty obvious that you are trying to cleanse Tamil culture from Malaysia, bumiputera style. And let me tell you the difference between etymology and dictionary. Etymology follows the history of the word looking for the real meaning, and a dictionary simply lists words of a language with the present meaning. There are however "etymological dictionaries" you could use. So unless you have no source like the listed ones, don't insert your original research. You should use the talkpage of the articles to discuss any possible changes.-- Dravidian Hero 12:13, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Bangladesh–Indonesia relations
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Bangladesh–Indonesia relations requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. bilateral articles
[edit]Firstly good work on creating many notable articles. However, please avoid blatant POV in articles such as "Both the countries have many cultural proximities and similar view on international issues" or have cordial relations etc. thanks. LibStar (talk) 13:40, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
- you've used " both nations enjoys cordial and friendly relationship" at least 5 times, this is blatant POV. I also note you've added a few uncited statements to new articles, please provide citations or I will remove. Thanks. LibStar (talk) 13:49, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
copyright violation
[edit]Hello Gunkarta, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your addition to Indonesia–Uzbekistan relations has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied without attribution. If you want to copy from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. LibStar (talk) 14:13, 8 June 2013 (UTC)

the new "type" of monument
[edit]is, in my view, better than the "icon" version, but what is there now,
- Buildings designed as landmarks, usually built with extraordinary feature such as tallest, largest or distinctive design – such as the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest structure as the landmark of Dubai
is perhaps crossing the border into opinion and/or original research. It appears to me that this is a definition that you have generated pretty much on your own to keep that building in the monument category. It would be a good idea to add a reference to that type of monument, especially if it is going to be the first type. Read the definition that begins the monument article and then think about how this type fits it. I am not sure that it does. Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 18:00, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

Gambar batik
[edit]Halo Mas Gun,
Saya tanya dulu biar gambarnya nanti gak gonta-ganti. Terima kasih Alteaven (talk) 13:13, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
- No, we can't have an edit-war about the lead image and conspire to put it back how it was after the GA is done, that's not acceptable and would lead to a GAR to revoke the GA and possibly to additional measures, please don't even think about it. The current image is unattractive; the museum image not very informative. The featured image was better but in fact at only medium resolution. Perhaps we can find a better image; a composite could be a solution (3 or 4 batiks of different pattern), or an image of batik being made, provided some sort of pattern can be seen. I am scanning some photographs now; we may find something acceptable among them. Chiswick Chap (talk) 13:41, 27 April 2014 (UTC)

Indonesia–Yemen relations
[edit]Hi Gunkarta, I need your help in the bilateral relations article "Indonesia–Yemen relations".
I note that you are a significant editor of Asian cuisine. Last year List of Asian cuisines was created, which duplicates the content and purpose of the Asian cuisine list article. Do you see any value in keeping both? The Asian cuisine list article is in a poor state with little information other than unsourced opinion, and is cluttered with too many images, and red links, while List of Asian cuisines is sourced, informative, and better organised. My feeling is that there is little content to be saved in Asian cuisine, and that it might be more useful to redirect the title to List of Asian cuisines (or vice versa). Essentially, keep one article, and work on that. What do you think? SilkTork ✔Tea time 18:44, 15 July 2014 (UTC)

Sultanate of Mataram
[edit]The article is making so many claims for authority - with not a WP:CITE or WP:RS tied in anywhere. It might need to be very drastically edited. Indonesian history articles with inadequate referencing must comply with WP:V - not playful Indonesian etymology - that is we think this, therefore it is true - as an online encyclopedia, Sultanat of Mataram article has gone far too long unchecked. Selamat tahun baru satusuro 04:38, 1 January 2015 (UTC)
- mohon maaf kalau saya terlalu keras dengan sejarah istimewa. My apology if I seem somewhat rough with lack of wp:cite. Also - it seems the old website joglosemar whatever, is no longer in existence, and many small articles used to rely on it - are you aware of alternative online history sources? satusuro 05:11, 1 January 2015 (UTC)

- Very sorry - the images of Senopati, Sultan Agung - are not what professional historians call valid images of the individuals - it is a long and complicated discussion if you want it - just because Indonesian persons think/believe that the images represent what the person look like, they are not considered valid. If you want the conversation, fine, if not, please do not re-insert. satusuro 02:24, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
- OK there is a fine line/ tempat kesulitan ? / where adding that image is a serious problem, this is an english online encyclopedia project, and readers are going to believe that the image you have uploaded is valid.
For me to not revert your edits - you need to speak. Due to the very good safeguards we have on wp en - we have a range of guidelines regarding WP:AGF - however silence does not help. No response does not help. satusuro 02:41, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
- OK - give me a few days - there are issues with a lot of things, but I do not have a whole day or long stretch of time to systematically go through the problem of the article - or the image of sultan agung - it might even take me a week or two to have the time to properly compose a rather complex argument/explanation.
Mohom maaf kalau saya offend over any sensitivity regarding javanese history - I am not an expert/ahli, but... satusuro 13:28, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Bali Kingdom, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://en.inforapid.org/index.php?search=Sri%20Kesari%20Warmadewa.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. - I've fixed it. It will be expanded and elaborated soon. Gunkarta talk 10:42, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
- Hello Gunkarta, and thanks for this article. It looks like you are using paragraphs from various Wikipedia articles as part of this article. This is perfectly fine, since Wikipedia content is free to re-use, but our license also requires attribution, that is: saying where that text came from so the edit history can be preserved. (Even if, as I've found, you were one of the original contributors of that text in the other articles, after a while other people edit it here and there, and it is that history we need to track.) So if I may ask, in future if you re-use content from other articles, if you can make the edit summary for that edit say something like "Content used from (article name), see that page for attribution" that's all that is needed to keep the license good.
- I've gone through and identified some of those additions here and I can put tags on the talk page that do the same thing after-the-fact, so again no problem there. Thanks again for your work, and feel free to ask if you have any questions, CrowCaw 23:34, 14 January 2015 (UTC)

Empu and pandai besi
[edit]Sorry about my edit on the kris article. I actually felt that pandai besi was more inclusive since the word empu is less common outside Indonesia. I'll retain the word empu but can I make a few minor corrections? For one, there are some unnecesary bolds in the beginning of the article. Also, for the sake of style, I replaced some mentions of the word empu with the English "smith" or "blacksmith". This is done simply for the sake of avoiding repetitiveness. Is this alright with you? Reply about Joko Widodo page
[edit]Thanks for your message today about recent changes to the Joko Widodo page. I agree that we should all aim for a Neutral Point of View (NPOV) on Wikipedia, especially when dealing with controversial issues such as Pak Jokowi's policies and approach. Many people feel strongly about many things. We should try to avoid these strong views affecting the Wiki pages. I agree with the approach you have been taking recently.
More broadly, there is a real risk that the Joko Widodo page will turn into a mess. There is so much controversy about so many things. The best thing that we can do -- in my view -- is try to stick to the main facts of his approach as President, and record the truly main events during his period as President. Otherwise the quality of the page will be lost. That would be a real pity because it is important to have a high-quality, factual page on the President of RI. I wish you would not continue to post political spin which merely pushes "myths" about Jokowi. For example the assertion that he is the first president not from a rich background is just wrong - Gus Dur led a modest existence and had to work for a living. Habibie was a trained aeronautical engineer and returned to that work after being president. Further examples you continue to put that Jokowi takes a hard line against drugs - but there is no evidence of that given his political concessions for clemency and his abject failure to target Indonesian drug cartels. You have been trying to post the myth that Jokowi is the only President to take action on fuel subsidies - but all former presidents have gradually reduced these in line with civil tolerance. You cite Jokowi believes this and Jokowi believes that - but these things are mere conjecture - for example Jokowi believes fuel subsidy cuts will fund infrastructure - is just political paff - especially when there is no palpable infrastructure development occurring - in fact its slowed under Jokowi following a very big infrastructure (particularly airports) under former president SBY. The proper approach for an encyclopedia is to reference actual occurences - not try to parrot Jokowi's narrative which is generally aimed at uneducated Indonesian peasants.Suastiastu (talk) 13:48, 24 July 2015 (UTC)

Gunkarta, makasih kamu jaga halaman Jokowi dari yg benci dia. Mereka bilang yg dukung dia pada bohong ttg karakter/tindakkannya selagi mereka yg maki2 terus dan sita hal2 yg baik ttg kepresidenannya. (sorry ini masuk bagian salah)Bookracoon (talk) 03:02, 18 August 2015 (UTC)
It has been suggested that Kalpavriksha be merged with Wish Tree which is not desirable as Kalpavriksha is specific to Indian religious cosmology of Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. Wish tree also covers many other aspects like wells etc. Pl record your views on the talk page of the two articles.--Nvvchar. 08:04, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
Shailendra vs. Sailendra
[edit]Hi, the article was previously using the IAST spelling of Śailēndra which IMO, is confusing. Ś is romanised further to Sh which is also used by reliable sources instead of Śailēndra. Thanks. --Cpt.a.haddock (talk) (please ping when replying) 16:54, 11 September 2015 (UTC)
