Accidental erasure
Hi! I would like to apologize for the mistake I made. I was trying to add a song but I erased everything and I didn't know how to pull it back up. I try to contact somebody like an admin (like you) but I couldn't. Hope you can understand. Thank you by the way! Sincerely, Gamerato (new user)
- It's fine, we have bots and several users watching Special:RecentChanges at all times, and deleted content usually gets fixed quickly. Help:Page history explains how to undo edits and restore old versions, so next time you can do it yourself. I've had to revert my own edits a couple times today myself.
- By the way I'm not currently an admin. Aside from blocking users, completely deleting articles, and a couple other maintenance tasks you can do almost anything on Wikipedia without any special permissions. Take a look at the New contributors' help page for some information to get you started. —Guanaco 02:01, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
Gustavo Zamudio
I deleted content in that page because the information was wrong and I couldn't find anything in Google to verificate it. In Wikipedia in Spanish I did the same, without objections. You can see that here: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustavo_Zamudio — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sconf (talk • contribs)
- Thanks for letting me know. I've restored your edit and did a bit of searching myself with no luck. Next time it would help to make a note in your edit summary. Something simple like "unsourced, can't verify on Google" makes things easier for those of us patrolling recent changes. —Guanaco 17:30, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
Scholar200
Hi, could you please delete the article titled "Little Satan (Israel Title)." This article is problematic in nature because it promotes a viewpoint that is explicitly Zionist and anti-Iranian in nature. Specifically the fact that it only seems to about how Benjamin Netanyahu doesn't like the fact that Iran has referred his country as the "Little Satan" and that from this, the article promotes Iran's anti-Israeli view as if it were based on pure antisemitism which is not the case. The article, if it were to still exist, should mention the reasoning behind the title from the Iranian perspective. Specifically it should mention the fact that Israel acts as both an imperialist power in the region displacing the Palestinian people and acts more or less as a puppet of American Imperialist interests. The "Great Satan" article at least mentions the reasoning behind Iran's labeling of the United States as such, because of it's imperialism. The article, which only depicts Benjamin Netanyahu's perspective on the term, is also explicitly Islamophobic in nature because of how it only depicts Netanyahu referring to the people who say it as Islamists. In addition, the article also violates neutrality by connotating anti-Zionism and anti-Zionist Muslims with terrorism by referring to how the term is used in terrorist propaganda. Also, the books cited are unreliable sources of Zionist propaganda.Scholar200 (talk) 02:08, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Scholar200: I'm unable to delete articles; to do this you'll need a community consensus at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. The term is, in my opinion, a notable one, meaning it's used enough to justify the article's existence. I doubt you'd have any luck getting it deleted.
- The best thing for you to do in this case is to edit the article constructively and work toward a [[Wikipedia:neutral point of view||]. More information, citing quality sources from an Iranian perspective also would be good.
- This stuff's as contentious here as it is in Iran or Israel, so expect possible hostility. Stay calm and be willing to discuss changes on the article's talk pages, and you'll do well. —Guanaco 02:17, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
Denis Johnson
I've learned of the death of American author Denis Johnson through the writer Chris Offutt: https://twitter.com/Chris_Offutt/status/867971243089084418 That's why I made the changes to Johnson's Wikipedia page.

- @59.94.107.225: It's relevant, but it's against Wikipedia policy to declare something as the "best." (See Wikipedia:Neutral point of view.) If you want to add awards the school has earned, positive ratings from agencies, etc., those might be valid. Just make sure you keep the neutrality policy in mind and cite sources for what you add. —Guanaco 05:50, 26 May 2017 (UTC)

Huh?
Hello G. This edit sent me a red ping stating that my edit had been reverted. Since it did not revert my edit having to check the ping was annoying to say the least. Don't get me wrong - I think your removal of the item was fine - I had left it out of AGF. If twinkle forces the edit to act like it was a revert of my edit then you could have just removed the item manually. I am guessing that this post will be annoying as well. Please feel free to remove it and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. MarnetteD|Talk 22:34, 27 May 2017 (UTC)
- I see how it works now, sorry about that. I'll keep that in mind when I'm reverting and use old version edits instead if it's likely to bother people. Thanks for telling me. —Guanaco 22:40, 27 May 2017 (UTC)
- You are welcome and thanks for understanding. It is funny/not so funny that the red ping can be good or bad news :-) Cheers. MarnetteD|Talk 02:01, 28 May 2017 (UTC)

Mistake on 2017 San Francisco Deltas Season
Hello, I'm Sovielus SF. You deleted an edit I made to the 2017 San Francisco Deltas Season that I think shouldn't have happened. I mistakenly deleted a small portion in this edit, but a majority of the edit was accurate and reflected their most recent results in the league and open cup, including goals scored, yellow cards handed out, in what minutes those occurred, next opponent in the league and cup, win/draw/loss status, referees, and match reports. Only the deletion of Line 663 was a mistake. Could you please restore the other changes I made. You can see the most recent match stats results that I used here (for the open cup)[1] and here [2](for the league match). Thank you. —Preceding undated comment added 14:52, 1 June 2017 (UTC)
- I've restored everything except the line 663 deletion. Thanks for letting me know what was happening here. There's been a lot of soccer-related vandalism lately, so I appreciate the good work you're doing. —Guanaco 15:15, 1 June 2017 (UTC)

Hari Nef
Do you think we should request protection for Hari Nef? Anonymous IPs have removed information about her birth name twice in the past week, and geolocation shows that one obviously has a personal connection. Franzboas (talk) 21:56, 3 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Franzboas: I'll watchlist it. The vandalism doesn't seem too heavy right now, but if it gets worse I'll request protection. —Guanaco 23:43, 3 June 2017 (UTC)
- For what it's worth, a new user Special:Contributions/Harinef just tried to remove the same information. Franzboas (talk) 23:48, 3 June 2017 (UTC)
- Yep. If it keeps happening they'll end up blocked. If the problem gets worse, let's request protection. For now though, most admins wouldn't accept the request. —Guanaco 23:51, 3 June 2017 (UTC)

Kelly Cass
I would add that the user may have a COI as they state here that they are married to one of the people whose names they attempted to add to The Weather Channel. I didn't want to out any personal information so I didn't press the matter. 331dot (talk) 00:54, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing this out. I'll keep an eye on the situation and try to make sure the article content in this area stays neutral. —Guanaco 00:57, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
I don't have a "Conflict" of Interest, I merely have an "Interest". I came across the Wikipedia list of Weather Channel Meteorologists while surfing other sites and noticed that there are some missing while their equal co-hosts were mentioned. It took me about a minute to make an edit. But it was deleted practically within 24 hours, which was puzzling. So I created an account and provided references. But there were still users who felt it necessary to delete them. I didn't start to get annoyed until the person posting above stated that some merit mention and some do not. Who made her the arbiter of that is not clear. I will provide as much as I can to make well-sourced and informative entries. Keybeeny (talk) 01:14, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
I see that you added a link from liverampup.com entitled "Kelly Cass's Married Gooner Husband". Do you realize that is one of the most fake, incorrect, unreliable, bot-created websites on the internet? Do you realize that the picture of the family "Chris Bee" is not our family at all? That the birthdate listed for her is incorrect? For you mods at Wikipedia to give me a hassle about providing links from her Blue-Check certified Social Media as well as her bio page on weather.com, and then use that link from liverampump as a source, has me laughing out loud. My name is K* B*, not Chris Bee. Her married name is B*. She goes by her maiden name Kelly Cass and has for the past 18 years. Would you please delete that phony reference? Thanks. Keybeeny (talk) 01:31, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Keybeeny: My personal opinion on sources like Facebook is aligned with Wikipedia's policy on this. The blue check you mentioned verifies it's not fake, so we can in fact use it for some uncontroversial information. As for the term "conflict of interest," it refers to Wikipedia's policy on editors connected to the subject of an article. In some cases it can get extremely messy, with people adding false favorable information or removing verifiable but unpleasant truths.
- Overall it's difficult to write good articles on Kelly Cass and others because there aren't many sources available. So we have to do the best we can with what we have, while erring in favor of omission if we're dealing with contentious claims and limited sources. I'll go ahead and remove the Liverampup source and data of birth for now.
- By the way, I'm not any kind of mod or admin. I have been in the past, but now I'm just an editor like yourself. —Guanaco 01:52, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
I do appreciate that you have allowed this to at least be considered. Anyone who watches that network knows who are the hosts of Weather Underground and who are the hosts of AMHQ Weekend. People who do not watch it, and that would be the majority of people in the world, should not have a problem with leaving it to those who do. Keybeeny (talk) 14:39, 5 June 2017 (UTC)

Age parameter
I wanted to let you know why I reverted your edit. The infobox roller coaster template specifies using {{{Start date}}}
and not {{{Start date and age}}}
, so for consistency sake across amusement ride articles, we should avoid the latter. Furthermore, longer month names like December will cause the "(X years ago)" to format incorrectly onto two lines. So another reason to avoid it is a cosmetic concern. Just wanted to drop you a line about it, thanks. --GoneIn60 (talk) 03:23, 9 June 2017 (UTC)

Comey
I am new to wiki as a writer and editor. I am troubled by the lack of neutrality on the Comey Congressional Committee Comments and have added comments by Law Professors Alan Dershowitz and Johnathan Turley with appropriate citations and to by pieces they authored. Hi Guanaco, I was patrolling New Pages, and came across the above user's user page. As he has made constructive edits, I didn't want to be BITEy to him by CSDing his userpage. However, his user page (cloned off yours) contains a lot of misleading info. He is not: PCR, a rollbacker, an administrator, on the Meditation Committee, nor does he have 20k edits. Ace Attorney citation clutter
Hi, I'm the "main editor" of the Ace Attorney article. I've thought about this too, but am unsure how to do anything about it. Do you know of a way to combine multiple references into a single footnote?--IDVtalk 07:32, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
- @IDV: I've seen it done like this[1] a few times, but here it's complicated by the same citations being used in mixed combinations all over the article. One option would be to just make that trade and have some duplicate reference entries. —Guanaco 07:40, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
Example reflist
- ^ Sources:
@IDV: This is back up on my talk page now. Someone had put a bad ref tag here and it made a big, buggy mess. —Guanaco 07:53, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
- All right. Yeah, for single-use citations that would definitely be good, but I'd like to avoid duplicate citations if possible... I'll see if I can find any WP guidelines about this.--IDVtalk 07:59, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
- (sorry, talk page stalker) you probl. want is MOS:CITEVAR or MOS:DUPCITES. However, personally, I like to either use one footnote per link, and then merge all which have the same link, or use:
Exmample[1] text[a] is a thing.[2] Foo bar[1] bar. Notes: a. [1], [3] References: 1. (1,2,3) link 1 2. link 2 3. link 3
- That way each url has their own footnote; easier for bots to parse when editing with tools. (t) Josve05a (c) 01:36, 15 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Josve05a: I like the example you gave. I found
Template:refnTemplate:efn which implements it. @IDV: I think I'll go ahead with this but if you don't like it feel free to revert. —Guanaco 01:44, 15 June 2017 (UTC)- @IDV: Roligt att se gamla svwp-användare här på enwp :) (t) Josve05a (c) 04:30, 15 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Josve05a and Guanaco: This does look pretty good, and simple to implement. Thanks! (and @Josve05a: Yeah... I'm not active on svwp anymore, I wrote a bit about it on my user page if you want to know)--IDVtalk 05:52, 15 June 2017 (UTC)
Page mover granted
Hello, Guanaco. Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect, and move subpages when moving the parent page(s).
Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially the criteria for moving pages without leaving redirect. Please remember to follow post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect
is used. This can be done using Special:WhatLinksHere. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password. As with all user rights, be aware that if abused, or used in controversial ways without consensus, your page mover status can be revoked.

Please note that I made edits to this page because there were completely untrue statements made on it. Richard Donovan did not organise the South Pole Marathon through any company he owns. He didn't organize it at all. There was also a section called 'litigation' suddenly inserted in the past few days, alleging that he had gained 'noteriety' for litigation in running circles. This section is entirely false with regard to allegations about a Galway City Marathon and its cancellation. Is it not blatantly obvious that somebody came onto this page in the past few days and manipulated it to write a maliciously unbalanced and untrue piece?...with a focus on a single event in ireland that's the subject of a court case, but not for the reasons cited at all? There was even a section on 'UltraRunning ireland alleging that people couldn't be selected for Ireland without being members of UltraRunning Ireland and various other false statements regarding some kind of conflict of interests with commercial races. What on earth is this about? It's entirely invented - please read the third party links currently placed, especially including the article from Athletics Ireland, which make it obvious those statements were untrue. Really, this is infuriating, that Wikipedia can be used in this manner to libel and defame someone. Please simply remove the page than indaequately attemmpt to monitor it and then threaten me for correcting the info with a simple, basic paragraph. Indeed, I have no idea why this page exists at all. Richard. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.18.85.240 (talk) 03:22, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for contacting me about this. Wikipedia's policy is to treat biographies of living persons carefully and remove any libel. I'll look more closely at the article and investigate the claims, and make sure that everything is verifiable with credible sources. Whatever can't be verified must be deleted; however, unfavorable facts backed by credible publications generally must not be removed. —Guanaco 03:30, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
- Also note you can e-mail the official address for requests to remove derogatory information. —Guanaco 03:45, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
You have simply reverted to false information despite what i've pointed out. It's not acceptable. The very first sentence is even easily verifiable as false. What company of Richard Donovan organised the south pole marathon? The events actually organised by him are omitted and these had been included in the simple edit to remove the false info. Furthermore, the third party (credible links) which showed the other falsities are omitted once again. Why didn't you just revert to the page from weeks ago before somebody with an obvious agenda manipulated the page and you follewed their lead. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.18.85.240 (talk) 04:03, 6 June 2017 (UTC) Ok. I can see you've now returned to a version of the page before obvious manipulation with derogatory and completely untrue comments. Thanks for at least taking this action. I will be following up further with Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.18.85.240 (talk) 04:10, 6 June 2017 (UTC) Hi Guanaco, I don't want to spend any more time one this, and how the page was clearly manipulated by a malicious user, but just to clarfiy again for now - I did not organise the South Pole Marathon (!) nor ever owned any company called UltraRunning Ireland - there is no such company to my knolwedge. There was a governing body in ireland called UltraRunning ireland. Please see [1] for some info regarding UltraRunning Ireland etc, written by the irish athletics authority / governing body.78.18.85.240 (talk) 18:10, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
- I removed those two statements. Thanks for pointing them out. I'll work on the article a bit more later when I'm more awake. —Guanaco 18:38, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
You do understand this page is being manipulated once again with numerous false comments, 'opinions' etc by somebody with an agenda. Notice how 'Breda O'Sullivan' no longer exists. One just needs to look at the complete and utter nonsense written above, easily verifiable as untrue and quite clearly penned by somebody with an agenda - yet you are continually allowing this to happen and in fact encouraged it. For example, one just needs to see this recent article by an athletics authority to see the extent and effort of the manipulation, http://www.athleticsireland.ie/news/richard-donovan-completes-his-second-transcontinental-run/ I must now caution you as to further edits on this page: in fact it should be simply deleted. I will however be seeking identities of users who edited and making legal contact with Wikipedia in this regard.107.17.240.242 (talk) 22:32, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
- The page has been semi-protected, so only logged-in users with 4 days and 10 edits can make changes. This should hopefully stop this. It's important, though, that you not make statements that could be interpreted as legal threats. You can take whatever action you feel is necessary, but Wikipedia isn't the forum for this (with the exception of the Wikimedia Foundation, by email). However we can continue to try to help you with your editorial concerns. —Guanaco 03:30, 15 June 2017 (UTC)
Thanks, but it's abundantly clear this page was recently used for 'vandalism' purposes only (I think that's the term you use), and self evidently to great effect given a follow-up objection on the justifiable removal of some. Race wins, records etc. are in fact easily verifiable, and the legal content screamed only of somebody involved in the very case discussed. Winning a case for libel means somebody was wronged, it doesn't mean that the libel should be repeated in Wikipedia via selected abstracts quoting the original libel and not stating the end outcome. One wouldn't be confident of the semi-protection given the nature of what has happened thus far, and the concerted effort involved. The libellous comments of the so-called 'Breda O'Sullivan even remain visible above.78.16.252.250 (talk) 05:38, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
- I've removed Breda's statements on this page, and her postings have also been removed from the article's history. —Guanaco 05:52, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
Premature close at Pounds per square inch?
Given that the discussion was moved to WT:PLURAL, and that the discussion there is in full swing this closure seems premature to me. Dondervogel 2 (talk) 08:44, 18 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Dondervogel 2: I didn't mean it as a hard close, setting it as a precedent. Simply the discussion at Talk:Pounds per square inch is done, so people should move their comments to WT:PLURAL. I'll clarify and place a notice directing people there. —Guanaco 08:47, 18 June 2017 (UTC)

En Marche
Hi Guanaco
Your close at Talk:En_Marche!#Requested_move_20_May_2017 says "page moved" but then your closer's note below implies that it was actually a no consensus close. Please could you go back and clarify that? Thanks! — Amakuru (talk) 12:02, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
- Good catch! I've fixed it now. Sorry about that. —Guanaco 17:43, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
Pontus
Thanks for handling the Otto Warmbier titling issue. Here's another situation that you may handle. "Pontus (region)" was moved two years ago from "Pontus", which is now redirected to Pontus (disambiguation). However, "Pontus" has numerous links probably referring to the region, while it may also refer to Pontus (mythology). I thought about setting up an RM on the Pontus dabpage. However, I think "Pontus" issue should be fixed first before the RM. Thoughts? --George Ho (talk) 09:33, 21 June 2017 (UTC)
- @George Ho: I've seen several RMs where multiple moves like this are considered in a single proposal. By page views, the mythology topic has a plurality, with the region and the kingdom basically tied for second.[4] It might be hard to get consensus for any primary topic. The redirect to disambiguation I can take care of now without an RM. —Guanaco 09:42, 21 June 2017 (UTC)
Hi again. The consensus is against the proposal. May you consider withdrawing please? Thanks. --George Ho (talk) 13:50, 22 June 2017 (UTC)
why did you revert my edit?
Why revert my edit on the Barbie Forteza article. I'm adding relevant and notable content, that is supported with reliable sources. Did you actually check what you were reverting?
- I reverted it because she is known for her roles as an actress; she's not notable because she played a blackface part. The place for content about this controversy is the Nita Negrita article. —Guanaco 10:43, 24 June 2017 (UTC)
- If it wasn't notable, then there wouldn't be published sources discussing her use of blackface. They would only discuss the show's use of blackface. https://books.google.com.ph/books?id=Snu1CwAAQBAJ&pg=PT83&lpg=PT83&dq=Barbie+Forteza+black+face&source=bl&ots=xJGuS3nsJq&sig=LOY0e_2GyE71nmTj3Z6YJk5nHK0&hl=en&sa=X&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q=Barbie%20Forteza%20black%20face&f=false
- You can make some mention of it in the article, but don't imply that she's best known for this blackface issue. Be very careful not to give it undue weight or create an overall disparaging tone in her biography. —Guanaco 10:50, 24 June 2017 (UTC)
- If it wasn't notable, then there wouldn't be published sources discussing her use of blackface. - That sounds like a reasonable compromise. I don't add tone, people can read facts and decide their own opinions. 124.106.141.235 (talk) 10:53, 24 June 2017 (UTC)
Why revert edit on Khaled_Nazzal page?
The information that he is was a leader in the Maalot masacre is sourced from media from both sides of the conflict, so how can it be a POV issue? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.54.41.19 (talk) 14:45, 2 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi Guanaco -- Rebecca Mader
Hi Gaunaco , I hope you are well. Its been a while and once again the user Stemoc has deleted a photo I uploaded for Rebecca Mader and said it's not a free photo. Its a picture I took after we last chatted. Rebecca posted to her instagram and credited me with the photo. I have the original uncropped version as well as multiple others I took at the same time that have never been posted anywhere. I put the following request in in wikicommons, but just wanted to reach out to see if you might be able to help. Thanks!
Hi Daphne Lantier, can you please undelete the File:Rebecca Mader May 2017.jpg This is a free image, taken by me. I have the original uncropped image if you would like to see it, as well as multiple other photos I took of Rebecca Mader at the same time. Rebecca posted this current photo on her Instagram account @bexmader and gave me (Marc Kayne) photo credit, specifically to prove that this is my photo.
Additionally, I'd like to put in a request asking if you could please delete the following image from WikiCommons File:Rebecca Mader January 2015.jpg as this is not a free image. This image has been cropped and the person who uploaded the this file to Flickr can not be the holder of the copyright as they are the person standing in the original photo with Rebecca Mader and therefore could not have taken the picture. I've provided the link to the original image from Flickr. You can see that Steve Cranston who uploaded the picture is the person standing next to Rebecca in the picture. https://www.flickr.com/photos/graffio_studios/16133460588/in/photolist-qzEcKA-qSiN7P-qzRsAB-qzMf39-qPWx2d-qSkCST-qzM64B-qSjaTe-qSg9cS-qSbCsi-qzNQFH-qS54ma-qzTxEi-qzE6xq-qSkfzX-pVkwKm-qQ2fMQ-qzJyWA-pVkxeC-qzJA2G-qSjhcX-pVx5Yr-qQ3CTG-qzV1oX-qSkNrT-qQ3iHC-pVsn16-qzKWrN-qzLSzE-qSeEjE-qS54sn-qS53Ut-qzSWMK-qSgh17-qzRN68-qzLTR7-pVk8Vo-qzKYXE-qzV1Gx-qzRvjH-pVyHS4-qzLXoC-qzMfY7-qzTzDP-qzLVbF-qzTzR2-qzUZGg-qSeqTz-qzLWkW-pVwDyP
Thanks for your help. Please let me know if you'd like to see any of the original unedited photo or any other unedited photos I took during the photoshoot where I took the following picture File:Rebecca Mader May 2017.jpg

- I'd like to help, but the situation is completely out of my hands in a case like this. There were instructions given at commons:COM:UDEL about the OTRS system. By emailing them you should be able to get the image restored with an official tag, protecting it from future copyright claims. —Guanaco 18:27, 19 July 2017 (UTC)

Have I done this correctly?
A while back, you gave me a heads up about the RM bot. Since then, when relisting, I've done <small>'''''Relisting''''' ~~~~</small> without "--" before "Relisting". Is that okay or will that have messed it up? Thanks, DrStrauss talk 18:48, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
- @DrStrauss: I believe the bot cares about the last timestamp in the section's lead comment, so any variant should be technically fine. The easiest solution is {{subst:relisting}} which produces "--Relisting. —Guanaco 18:56, 3 August 2017 (UTC)". —Guanaco 18:56, 3 August 2017 (UTC)

Dispute with another user
Apparently I am currently at a dispute with another user that may or may not concern content (they don't seem to be clear about that and just post vague templates with odd but threatening messages on my user talk and refuse to reply on their own talk page), the conversation in context can be found in my user talk page's archive, as I don't have experience requesting dispute resolution and being quite certain that if I were to post this at the administrators' noticeboard that I would probably be the one receiving a block or extra sanctions so I would rather put the dispute to an uninvolved party, is the medication committee for user disputes? Honestly I only want to bring this dispute forth so this user would give some answers as they have stated that my edits "deserve more scrutiny" but has avoided explaining why they made their statement or left the templates they did. As I would rather not operate in a hostile environment I would rather talk this out with them as adults but they seem to not want to repsond to any enquiries upon their actions. Is this a case for the mediation committee? --Donald Trung (Talk) (Articles) 22:26, 11 February 2018 (UTC)

Help on Wikimedia Commons with deleted files
I have been blocked on Wikimedia Commons so I cannot leave a message on your talk page attempting to find help for this issue. I'm not contesting the block but a similar thing has happened to me before that you have helped me. I have had over 100 images deleted which HAVE been checked over before by you (this is not about the block, i was blocked for uploading one or two images I found that I thought were free) and verified for having the right license (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:CoughingCookieHeart#Deleted_content), this is by the same person who deleted them last time and seemed to have not checked the license on any image I have uploaded. It's gotten worse this time and he didn't even leave a message notifying he was going to remove these images so I cannot get a scope of how big it is but I have uploaded 50+ more images off Flickr since and from the past you and I can successfully say that these images he has deleted once again are safe.
I'm asking for help because I don't know any other wikimedia commons administrators (I only use the commons to upload images for articles from flickr and Youtube videos licensed under CC so that the article looks more appealing after while I edit it in visual edit) and this mass deletion which obviously wasn't throughly checked has messed up A LOT of pages for musicians and left many big ones without any images. You will also find that pages like Drake have had their image replaced with the exact one that was deleted by Hystrix (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Drake_at_the_Velvet_Underground_-_2017_(36398066420)_(cropped_5).jpg.) I don't want to create drama but I do feel like I'm being abused as a user who has made a lot of contributes to Commons. Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:20, 17 July 2018 (UTC)

File copyright problem with File:1917.ogg
Thank you for uploading File:1917.ogg. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. — JJMC89 (T·C) 18:43, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
