Speedy deletion nomination of Matej Zupančič
[edit]Hello Gnooi,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Matej Zupančič for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 00:48, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

Please stop adding flags to football players' infoboxes. This is against consensus, als you can read here. Also stop changing the players' place of birth. The place of birth should list the name of the country at the time when the players were born, not what the country is called now. --Jaellee (talk) 11:10, 13 April 2013 (UTC)

Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Krešo Omerzel. The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:14, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
The article Krešo Omerzel has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Tyros1972 Talk 06:08, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

Re: Žiga Jurečič, Miha Drnovšek
[edit]The reason that I have put these articles up for deletion is because they do not meet the rules for inclusion. In order to have an article on Wikipedia, a subject must meet certain criteria called notability. For footballers there are two relevant guidelines to determining notability. The general notability guideline says that any subject that has received significant coverage in reliable sources is notable. In the context of football, significant coverage does not include routine sports coverage like match reports, squad lists, player profiles, or transfer announcements. The other relevant guidelines is football-specific notability guideline, which says that footballers are notable if they have played for their country's national team or in one of the fully professional leagues listed here. In the case of Slovenia, this means only PrvaLiga and national team players are notable. I hope that clears things up. On an unrelated note, please place new sections on talk pages on the bottom of the page and please sign your comments by typing four tildes (~~~~) after your comment. Using the new section feature at the top of most talk pages will put it in the right place automatically. Happy editing. Sir Sputnik (talk) 19:30, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
