Article Jaya Mahesh

Hi I created an article Jaya Mahesh which was tagged for Speedy Deletion by you. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaya_Mahesh I have given all references and created using Wiki Article Creation Wizard. All references are from News papers, Magazines and Mrs India Pageant website. If just the content or wordings looks promotional you could suggest content edit or line edit why just remove the page? Also I have created articles Mrudula Murali, Kruthika Jayakumar, Parvatii Nair before this and those are approved. I post legit contents only after verifying if that person has to be in wikipedia. A Mrs. India Earth winner sure deserves a page in Wiki.

I would like you to review your speedy deletion tag pls. And suggest what edit is required on the content. As speedy deletion on my article also accounts my account status. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jailive (talkcontribs) 09:08, 5 June 2018 (UTC)

For now have edited your speedy deletion tag. Thanks

Hello GSS. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Heena Panchal, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: better references since back then, but may need to go back to AfD. Thank you. GorillaWarfare (talk) 21:28, 20 May 2018 (UTC)

Thank you!

Supporting Indian Wikipedia Program resource distribution

In 2017 - 2018, the Wikimedia Foundation and Google working in close coordination with the Centre for Internet and Society (CIS), Wikimedia India chapter (WMIN) and user groups will pilot a program encouraging Wikipedia communities to create locally relevant and high-quality content in Indian languages. This program (Code name: Project Tiger) will:

(a) Support active and experienced Wikipedia editors through the donation of laptops and stipends for internet access and
(b) Sponsor a language-based contest that aims to address existing Wikipedia content gaps.

The objective of the program is to provide laptops and internet stipends for existing editors who need support to contribute more actively. 50 basic model Acer Chromebooks and Internet stipends for 100 contributors are available for distribution. Provided resources are the sole property of the beneficiaries and should be used for the betterment of the movement.

If you're an active Wikimedian, and interested to receive support from this project, please apply. It will take around 10 minutes of your time, and will ask descriptive questions about your contribution to Indic Wikimedia projects.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of Adrian Mole characters, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mexican (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Balaji Murugadoss - request to remove deletion tag

Hi, I see you have Nominated this page for deletion. Please search for Balaji Murugadoss and Mister International India 2018. You can find relevant links from verifiable sources. I've added new links from relevant newspapers. I will also update more source links to keep the article relevant and authentic. Krisaram (talk) 15:45, 16 March 2018 (UTC)

@Krisaram: The sources you provided are not enough to demonstrate notability and most of them are not reliable. Thank you – GSS (talk|c|em) 12:59, 19 March 2018 (UTC)

HI ...the previous information was not up to date. I have updated the text and also added some mainstream media links for independent coverage establishing the notability of the subject. New Page Review Newsletter No.10

Hello GSS, thank you for your work reviewing New Pages!

ACTRIAL:

  • ACTRIAL's six month experiment restricting new page creation to (auto)confirmed users ended on 14 March. As expected, a greatly increased number of unsuitable articles and candidates for deletion are showing up in the feed again, and the backlog has since increased already by ~30%. Please consider reviewing a few extra articles each day.

Paid editing

  • Now that ACTRIAL is inoperative pending discussion, please be sure to look for tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary.

Subject-specific notability guidelines

Nominate competent users for Autopatrolled

  • While patrolling articles, if you find an editor that is particularly competent at creating quality new articles, and that user has created more than 25 articles (rather than stubs), consider nominating them for the 'Autopatrolled' user right HERE.

News

  • The next issue Wikipedia's newspaper The Signpost has now been published after a long delay. There are some articles in it, including ACTRIAL wrap-up that will be of special interest to New Page Reviewers. Don't hesitate to contribute to the comments sections. The Signpost is one of the best ways to stay up date with news and new developments - please consider subscribing to it. All editors of Wikipedia and associated projects are welcome to submit articles on any topic for consideration by the The Signpost's editorial team for the next issue.

NPR Newsletter No.12 30 July 2018

Chart of the New Pages Patrol backlog for the past 6 months. (Purge)

Hello GSS, thank you for your work reviewing New Pages!

June backlog drive

Overall the June backlog drive was a success, reducing the last 3,000 or so to below 500. However, as expected, 90% of the patrolling was done by less than 10% of reviewers.
Since the drive closed, the backlog has begun to rise sharply again and is back up to nearly 1,400 already. Please help reduce this total and keep it from raising further by reviewing some articles each day.

New technology, new rules
  • New features are shortly going to be added to the Special:NewPagesFeed which include a list of drafts for review, OTRS flags for COPYVIO, and more granular filter preferences. More details can be found at this page.
  • Probationary permissions: Now that PERM has been configured to allow expiry dates to all minor user rights, new NPR flag holders may sometimes be limited in the first instance to 6 months during which their work will be assessed for both quality and quantity of their reviews. This will allow admins to accord the right in borderline cases rather than make a flat out rejection.
  • Current reviewers who have had the flag for longer than 6 months but have not used the permissions since they were granted will have the flag removed, but may still request to have it granted again in the future, subject to the same probationary period, if they wish to become an active reviewer.
Editathons
  • Editathons will continue through August. Please be gentle with new pages that obviously come from good faith participants, especially articles from developing economies and ones about female subjects. Consider using the 'move to draft' tool rather than bluntly tagging articles that may have potential but which cannot yet reside in mainspace.
The Signpost
  • The next issue of the monthly magazine will be out soon. The newspaper is an excellent way to stay up to date with news and new developments between our newsletters. If you have special messages to be published, or if you would like to submit an article (one about NPR perhaps?), don't hesitate to contact the editorial team here.

Sir/Madam it's a kind request to reconsider your decision regarding the deletion tag put on the article , I have added some more content and more references like uniindia news , film companion.com to avoid deletion .Mid-day reference has been deleted to avoid repeation. The previously added sources such as business standard newspaper , filmfare official website are fully reliable .In the later case , you must open the synopsis as the page doesn't open as such. Also , Hamaramovie production is especially meant to produce short films , a some sort of platform for young aspiring filmmakers with a lot of known actors like Manjari Fadnis in Cot willing to come forward. Its notable that the film was nominated for the Jio Fimfare best short film 2018. Boora sugar

Sir,

I have a small suggestion . Actually "Boora sugar" is an North Indian concept where sugar is melted in water and then the water is boiled until we get a powdered sticky sugar and then ghee is added to get it into completely powdered particles. This is mainly done in North India (Uttar Pradesh) and they have it with rice and ghee as a famous desert. So I think there is little difference between this and powdered sugar, where sugar is grinded. So can we have a seperate article for the "Boora sugar".Please give your suggestion.Vinodbasker (talk) 13:23, 20 July 2018 (UTC)

I have changed the statement of the case being closed to a more Descriptive and statement from Mumbai Police handling the case

The previous statement "Owing to a lack of evidence, the Mumbai Police closed the case later that year" is changes to "Mumbai Police filed a report regarding the case in November 2016 and hence forth nothing has been clearly reported about the case."

1) The Article citation states that Mumbai police Filed a 'NIL Report' and hence case will be closed 2) A 'NIL Report' is like other reports files by Police like 'Summary A', 'Summary B', 'Summary C'. These are all reports filed by Police after an FIR (First Information Report) is file to police. All there reports are submitted in court. 3) After these reports are filed the court decides whether it wants to accept the report or deny it. 4) Irrespective of these reports court proceedings carry on. 5) Hence stating that because of a 'NIL Report' a case has been closed is factually in correct and against Indian Penal Court. 6) Hence I have changed the statement to a more factual and descriptive statement.

Thank You (Dpshow (talk) 14:31, 30 August 2018 (UTC))

@Dpshow: As explained previously on the same talk page that the contents you are trying to remove are well sourced so please use the talk page to gain consensus for challenged material and do not revert edits. See WP:3RR for more. Thank you. GSS (talk|c|em) 14:49, 30 August 2018 (UTC)

@GSS: I would like to understand how are they well sourced. Please read the article that is cited I clearly mentions only the filing of 'NIL Report'
how does that justify the closing of a case. Please understand the judiciary system and Indian Penal Court. An 'NIL Report' does not suffice the closing of a case. This is tarnishing the reputation of the Judiciary system. The police does not jurisdiction. Court has. Please read the explanation I have given. Thank you. The page Naveen Shankar is truly important

Dear GSS-1987 The page Naveen Shankar have many differences from the page Gultoo. Gultoo is just a commercial film and the article contains the information about the plot of the film. But the page Naveen Shankar contains personal life of the lead of the film and also it tells about his previous works and Future works. So I request you not to redirect it to the page Gultoo. Your SPI report

Quick heads up in case the ping didn't work, I've moved your report from Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Ayyappancs to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Joshyvjohn for procedural reason. Cheers. Sir Sputnik (talk) 23:31, 16 April 2018 (UTC)

Sir Sputnik Ah, I see and found this comment by Joshyvjohn on my own talk archive and notice SPI Ayyappancs ended up as two separate sock farms. Silly me! Thank you for taking care of it. GSS (talk|c|em) 04:19, 17 April 2018 (UTC)

Mass article creation

Hi GSS, I noted you created a large number of articles using some AWB. I am just curious how can I do it? --Saqib (talk) 04:16, 18 April 2018 (UTC)

  • AWB article creations aren't allowed except by prior consensus (due to bad experiences around villages and insect articles I think), what GSS did was tagging talk pages with project banners. You'll have to apply for AWB permission at perm and an admin will assign that to you if eligible. —SpacemanSpiff 04:20, 18 April 2018 (UTC)
@SpacemanSpiff and Saqib: Yes, I created some 200+ articles in mainspace using CSVLoader according to an official list I downloaded from censusindia.gov.in so SpacemanSpiff can you please review those articles and let me know if you find any mistake and if not then I'll be glad to complete that list which has data of around 20k villages in Punjab. Thank you GSS (talk|c|em) 04:54, 18 April 2018 (UTC)
I was under the impression that CSV loader was not to be used any longer after the huge runs by Tinu etc, but perhaps I'm mistaken. Titodutta might have more current information on that as I've stopped looking at village stubs actively. —SpacemanSpiff 05:41, 18 April 2018 (UTC)
Oh! I never knew about that, so will wait for Titodatta's reply before I create more and also pining Fitindia who created a large number of articles on villages in India during Punjab Edit a thon. GSS (talk|c|em) 05:58, 18 April 2018 (UTC)
Took a cursory glance at the articles and they seem like acceptable WP:GEOLAND stubs. FITINDIA 08:42, 18 April 2018 (UTC)
Thank you for your response @Titodutta and Fitindia:, since I'm using this plugin I personally found it very useful, especially while creating geographical articles and see no issue so far. The plus point is I'm not using a bot account and have to click the save button manually which give enough time to review the changes. The articles I created or will create are all within the scope of the project and for the verifiability, I'm using two official sources. GSS (talk|c|em) 08:33, 19 April 2018 (UTC)

Chika Nwobi Wikipedia Page

I was just wondering the best way to rectify this COI issue on this page. Also, the issue about deleting the page because the sources are promotional. I would kindly ask that you review the sources again because they weren't created by me. Everything is available on Google. Information about his father can be found here and information about his mother can be found here.

Nwobi is an uncommon last name, a little research can take you a long way. User:Leapsandbounds 16:22, 3 September 2018

@Leapsandbounds: First of all can you please explain the reason for removing this message from your talk page? that reads ...I've communicated with Chika Nwobi regarding this article. GSS (talk|c|em) 17:43, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
{re|GSS} Sure. You didn't respond to the message so I rewrote it to attempt to get more information from you as to why changes were happening regarding the article, yet nothing was being communicated. User:Leapsandbounds 20:37,3 September 2018
Regarding the CoI please see WP:COI and as I said in my nomination the sources are not independent of the subject as required by WP:GNG and most of them are not even reliable e.g. nigerianbiography.com. GSS (talk|c|em) 08:55, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
Okay, I've reviewed it. If you focus on this section, WP:IIS under Why independent sources are required, it reads, "To verify that a subject is important, only a source that is independent of the subject can provide a reliable evaluation. A source too close to the subject will always believe that the subject is important enough to warrant detailed coverage, and relying exclusively upon this source will present a conflict of interest and a threat to a neutral encyclopedia."
For me, this simply means that Wikipedia's definition of a non-independent source is one where there's a vested interest and the author/publisher has a financial or legal relationship to the topic. In this case, as a Wikepedia editor, you cannot prove that for any of the sources provided. It's not as if these sources were suspiciously provided within a specific time period. They are all random.

Also

"Arguably, an independent and reliable source is not always objective enough or knowledgeable to evaluate a subject. There are many instances of biased coverage by journalists, academics, and critics. Even with peer review and fact-checking, there are instances where otherwise reliable publications report complete falsehoods. But Wikipedia does not allow editors to improve an article with their own criticisms or corrections. Rather, if a generally reliable source makes a false or biased statement, the hope is that another reliable source can be found to refute that statement and restore balance."
Wikipedia clearly states that if you as an editor have an issue with the way a source presents its information, you are free to improve on the content with another source that you deem more reliable. I believe that the fact that you have singled out nigerianbiography.com as an unreliable source, simply shows some bias on your side, which is prohibited.
Please understand that the subject is from Nigeria. Most of the information written about him online will come from Nigerian sources. They may not be the Forbes and NYTimes of the world, but this is what we have. It's not really fair to determine whether or not it is reliable based on the fact that it looks funny or it's not what you're used to.
I'm asking you to reconsider this COI because it is actually written very subjectively. The note on the top of the page points to neutrality and I'm still not seeing the issue because I've done everything necessary to make sure it reads like any other Wikipedia article.User:Leapsandbounds 19:23, 4 September 2018

About the article "Aayush Rimal"

Dear GSS this article is a wikipedia biography project of a famous nepali actor who has a big fam following too, also many other actors/actresses have wikipedia pages too so making it wasnt advertisement purpose. please approve my article on aayush rimal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Swaraj Sagar Pradhan (talkcontribs) 03:21, 20 April 2018 (UTC)

@Swaraj Sagar Pradhan: I tagged your article for deletion because it does not show how the subject meets our general notability criterion or WP:NACTOR. The article has no source to indicate notability or to verify any of the claims so if you believe the subject is notable enough to be included in Wikipedia you need to provide some reliable sources to prove notability. Please see WP:RS for more information about what kind of sources are acceptable. Thank you GSS (talk|c|em) 06:57, 20 April 2018 (UTC)

Yeh Hai Chahatein (TV series)

I was working on Yeh Hai Chahatein (TV series) as it had some errors and noticed there was a link from Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Shiwam Kumar Sriwastaw, which you created. If you believe the subject is notable enough to be included in Wikipedia you need to provide some reliable sources that talk about the subject directly and in details. Please see WP:GNG and WP:RS for more information about what kind of sources are acceptable. Thank you GSS (talk|c|em) 05:18, 7 May 2018 (UTC)

1990 Vauxhall Nova L 1.2

Hello I found out my image, 1990 Vauxhall Nova L 1.2 which you marked for Speedy Deletion and been deleted, I presume by the owner request because of "Privacy reasons". I do not have a account or access to Wikimedia OTRS but I have reasons why I think it was wrongfully deleted. I do not know what to do next but I would like to appeal for the images to be undeleted or reupload them. --Vauxford (talk) 08:52, 18 May 2018 (UTC)

Hello Vauxford, if you believe the file was wrongfully deleted please add your request at Commons:Undeletion requests but please don't forget to mention the OTRS ticket number which is 2018051610013726. Thank you GSS (talk|c|em) 09:56, 18 May 2018 (UTC)

Clarifications on the speedy deletion of the article Sussanne Khan

I wanted to know why the Biography on Sussanne Khan to be speedily deleted rather than at least proposing it to delete either by PROD or Afd. But I don't like to critise you on your decision but I explained the article with mentioning the content with few reliable sources. Yes you may have suggested to delete as its main content is based on relating to her former spouse, Hrithik Roshan. But I have mentioned a special section on her career as a fashion designer. Please tell me about the issues of my article. Thanks. Abishe (talk) 14:29, 18 May 2018 (UTC)

@Abishe: The article was previously deleted three months ago for a lack of notability please see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sussanne Khan and none of the sources establishes notability. GSS (talk|c|em) 14:53, 18 May 2018 (UTC)

@GSS: Yes I accept and respect your words, but will this affect my career in a negative way. I won't involve in mistakes like these anymore. Abishe (talk) 15:00, 18 May 2018 (UTC)

Former secretary of the Navy John F. Lehman, Jr.

Looks like you have deleted the reference and source for Dr.Lehman's work at the National Security Council under President Nixon. We put it back in with the source the Richard Nixon Presidential Library. Today, I was going to add the citation from the C-span program of September 21, 2014 titled " Former staffers at Richard Nixon's National Security Council.

I hate to say it, but you are making things quite difficult by excluding part of Dr. Lehman's background when the facts are correct.

So, why don't you just write to me and tell what is the problem and I will fix it. Together or separately, this issue is going to be resolved.

Managing COI

Hi GSS, I had already disclosed in the beginning, my COI regarding the article "Jasmine Kaur Roy" and have again inserted in its talk page. The article is not for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything. Please review. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Roy.avinash (talkcontribs) 18:17, 19 May 2018 (UTC)

@Roy.avinash: Thank you for disclosing your conflict of interest. First please do not move your draft article to main space yourself. Articles should be reviewed by an experienced editor to ensure that Wikipedia standards and policies are met. WP:COIEDIT strongly discourage creating articles directly in mainspace where you have a conflict of interest so I have moved the article (Amoli (film)) back into draft space (Draft:Amoli (film)). Please submit it for review when it is fully supported by inline citations and not before. I would advise you to re-read WP:COIEDIT and also WP:WWIN. If you need any help please feel free to drop me a message here. Thank you GSS (talk|c|em) 03:26, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
Thank you GSS for your response. Could you suggest me ways to propose edits rather than doing it myself since wiki seems to be very strict in terms of COI even if it is a genuine article?
Roy.avinash (talk) 05:57, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
@Roy.avinash: As I suggested above, the article required inline citation so please see Help:Referencing for beginners to learn how to provide the inline citation and when you think it is ready, please submit your draft for review by adding {{subst:submit}} at the top. After being reviewed, it will either be accepted or sent back to you for further revisions, also before you submit please read WP:NFILM and WP:RS to identify reliable sources. Best of luck.GSS (talk|c|em) 06:46, 20 May 2018 (UTC)

NPR Newsletter No.11 25 May 2018

Hello GSS, thank you for your work reviewing New Pages!

ACTRIAL:

  • WP:ACREQ has been implemented. The flow at the feed has dropped back to the levels during the trial. However, the backlog is on the rise again so please consider reviewing a few extra articles each day; a backlog approaching 5,000 is still far too high. An effort is also needed to ensure that older unsuitable older pages at the back of the queue do not get automatically indexed for Google.

Deletion tags

  • Do bear in mind that articles in the feed showing the trash can icon may have been tagged by inexperienced or non NPR rights holders. They require your further verification.

Backlog drive:

  • A backlog drive will take place from 10 through 20 June. Check out our talk page at WT:NPR for more details. NOTE: It is extremely important that we focus on quality reviewing. Despite our goal of reducing the backlog as much as possible, please do not rush while reviewing.

Editathons

  • There will be a large increase in the number of editathons in June. Please be gentle with new pages that obviously come from good faith participants, especially articles from developing economies and ones about female subjects. Consider using the 'move to draft' tool rather than bluntly tagging articles that may have potential but which cannot yet reside in mainspace.

Paid editing - new policy

  • Now that ACTRIAL is ACREQ, please be sure to look for tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary. There is a new global WMF policy that requires paid editors to connect to their adverts.

Subject-specific notability guidelines

  • The box at the right contains each of the subject-specific notability guidelines, please review any that are relevant BEFORE nominating an article for deletion.
  • Reviewers are requested to familiarise themselves with the new version of the notability guidelines for organisations and companies.

Not English

  • A common issue: Pages not in English or poor, unattributed machine translations should not reside in main space even if they are stubs. Please ensure you are familiar with WP:NPPNE. Check in Google for the language and content, tag as required, then move to draft if they do have potential.

News

  • Development is underway by the WMF on upgrades to the New Pages Feed, in particular ORES features that will help to identify COPYVIOs, and more granular options for selecting articles to review.
  • The next issue of The Signpost has been published. The newspaper is one of the best ways to stay up to date with news and new developments. between our newsletters.

Sir it will be great if you can take out time and check the page again. Being much more experienced Wikipedia editor, you can also suggest me the mistakes / corrections, both for now and future. Now after the changes, If you see some merit in the article please reconsider your decision, it is the last day before the pending deletion Wikirecord (talk) 15:36, 26 May 2018 (UTC)Wikirecord

Mumbai Suburban Railway

MMRDA is a local body and it has nothing to do with suburban railway. The sentence "In 2017, MMRDA announced it is investing up to ₹48,000 crore to re-haul the entire rail network by introducing new services, coaches, signalling equipment" is in the context of the Metro network which is separate from the suburban railway and some one not knowing Mumbai suburban system has mixed it up by putting in that sentence. Retaining the sentence again will be misguiding. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rajendra B. Aklekar (talkcontribs) 06:27, 21 June 2018 (UTC)

Thank you DGG, looks like written by a completely different person so taken it to AfD since the new version has some sources but still a case of toosoon. GSS (talk|c|em) 03:57, 23 June 2018 (UTC)

Several days ago you did a round robin history swap on this title in mainspace. Were you aware of the draft and can you look at what might be done with it? Legacypac (talk) 05:53, 25 June 2018 (UTC)

@Legacypac: Actually there was no source to support the awards at the time I moved this article to draft space in a hope to see improvements but the author moved it back to mainspace after citing some unreliable sources e.g. dailyhunt.in and I was unable to perform revert so I did a round robin instead which accidentally left a redirect behind. The film is yet to release but as per this source (in Bengali) it received acclaimed in several film festivals but, there is no reliable source to confirm the names of the festivals except the last three and I'm not sure if those festivals are notable enough so this looks like a case of WP:TOOSOON but if you want to accept the submission I can userify Bhagshesh without leaving a redirect behind so you can move. Speedy Deletion of Mission Zindagi

Hi GSS I saw that you tagged an article created by me for Speedy Deletion. Firstly, Mission Zindagi is a Non-Profit not a Educational Institution. Secondly, It ran multiple campaigns in collaboration with Government of Haryana for students so that is a notable contribution. I urge you to please review your tag and take appropriate action.

Thanks Vaibhavconnects (talk) 18:51, 16 July 2018 (UTC)

@Vaibhavconnects: I have moved the article to the draft workspace due to some multiple issues, first I'm unclear about the title because as per the sources you provided the title should be Project Zindagli and secondly, editors with a COI should put new articles through the Articles for Creation (AfC) process instead of creating them directly per WP:COIEDIT, for instructions on how to disclose your conflict of interest, please see WP:DISCLOSE. If there is any confusion or you need any help please let me know. Thank you. GSS (talk|c|em) 05:23, 17 July 2018 (UTC)

Hi,this article need serious concern. The notability of person is specified by the fact that the person had been working since 2012,acted in two popular shows Silsila Pyaar Ka as a supporting role and Piyaa Albela as a lead role for more than 1 years and also nominated for Zee Rishtey Awards for Favourite Jodi and ITA Award for Best Actor - Female. She had also appeared in Indian talk show Juzzbaatt - Sangeen Se Namkeen Tak as a celebrity guest. There is enough reliable sources available on the web that proofs the independence of the person. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Asim543 (talkcontribs) 08:31, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

@Asim543: Please see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sheen Dass and WP:NACTOR which state Has had significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions. and two isn't multiple and also as explained by Saqib here the sources do not establish notability. Thank you. GSS (talk|c|em) 08:42, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

Edited DOB if Maria Memon

Hi! Actually I had added the date of birth, which is confirmed by the named person herself in a TV show. It is confirmed through Google as well. Btw, I have never seen date of birth been cited before. NEVER Knightrises10 (talk) 16:15, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

@Knightrises10: Please note that as per the Wikipedia policy on verifiability all material in mainspace must be supported by widely published reliable sources so please do not add unsourced material. If you continue to insert unsourced material - it will be deleted, please see and read no original research, verifiability and the three-revert rule. Thank you. Lashtam Pashtam (2018 film)

Hello! I understand that the movie page was deleted due to unreliable sources, however, I have key media links for the same with the assets of the film being launched. Let me know how I can edit and restore the page. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paramparaa (talkcontribs) 06:06, 25 July 2018 (UTC)

@Paramparaa: I have moved the article to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Please submit it for review when you are finished so that an experienced editor can review that article for suitability for inclusion in Wikipedia. Thank you. GSS (talk|c|em) 15:10, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
@GSS: I have revised the article with reliable sources. Can you please review it for inclusion in Wikipedia? Thanks. Cinemawaali (talk) 20:18, 30 July 2018 (UTC)

WT:FILM

Hi GSS, I got your email. I don't check email much, if at all, and I much prefer that unless it's a super sensitive topic, (which is rare,) questions directed at me be held in public. I think your most recent question should absolutely be asked at WT:FILM. It's a totally reasonable query! And it would be smart to try to get the community to commit to a position on that. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:43, 26 July 2018 (UTC)

Ahh I see, will take this matter to WT:FILM. Thank you for your suggestion. GSS (talk|c|em) 05:39, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
Done, Cyphoidbomb since you are the most active admin in ICTF and have a good grasp of policy and a lot of experience I would like to see your views on this. The thread can be viewed here. Thank you. GSS (talk|c|em) 06:54, 31 July 2018 (UTC)

Draft: Ashi Singh

Hey i have made changes to draft ashi singh and added references and her notability can be seen through these references. So please review this draft again and please move to article space. Dynamics1234 (talk) 14:32, 31 July 2018 (UTC)

Page Drafted: Rohith V.S.

Hello, Why the page of malayalam movie director Rohith V.S.'s page is drafted? May I know the reason? I have submitted all the required reference links. And of course that is not a paid work. Please acknowledge. Thank You Jithinrajtk (talk) 06:44, 7 August 2018 (UTC)

(talk page stalker)When you're into near-obvious undisclosed-paid-editing and writing articles in clear-breach of our notability guidelines, the worst thing is to invoke additional spotlight and scrutiny on yourself and your articles. You never know how draconian, some stalkers might be..... :-) WBGconverse 08:50, 7 August 2018 (UTC)

I appreciate your encouragement WBoG, but as Ritchie333 said the issue with my CSD tagging still stands which can be an issue at RfA. I'm trying my best to solve this issue and have managed to improve a little bit, but not yet reached the level where people can trust me before giving me the power to press the delete button so I think it's best to wait for some more time. Thank you. GSS (talk|c|em) 18:06, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
To be honest, things like this are marginal cases at AfD, certainly, but A7s have to be for truly unimprovable stuff that could never be a valid encyclopedia article. Have a chat with SoWhy, if your CSD tagging improves to the point he thinks you're ready, you probably are. If not, he can also give some good ideas on how to improve your skills. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 22:28, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
Actually, I tagged this for speedy deletion because there were no reliable sources present in the article at that time and I can see it was my mistake as I missed some claims in the career section but anyways thank you once again for your guidance and advice. I will definitely take SoWhy's assistance in this area, not only for the RfA but also to improve my knowledge of CSD criteria. GSS (talk|c|em) 13:45, 10 August 2018 (UTC)

Contesting Deletion of article on actor Karan Singhmar

All the information stated in the article has proper references and if there aren't any I'll remove them. There are video links to the channel's websites, apps where the actor is seen on the shows and his name is there on their show's wiki pages.

@Karankashlive: First of all please note that creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged and if you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing. I moved the article to draftspace because it does not include reliable sources that confirm that the subject meets the notability criteria such as WP:NACTOR and WP:GNG so please don't move it to mainspace yourself; it is better to use the AFC process to get your draft reviewed by an experienced editor. To do that, add {{subst:submit}} to the top of your draft. Thank you. GSS (talk|c|em) 17:08, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
